No hints so just have to wait until I get some of it together.
Looking forward to the next project, whatever it is!

Family comes first though. Good luck with all that!

Thanks Shopnut. My BIL suffered a brain aneurysm. This Monday will be 3 weeks he's been in the hospital. He lives in Cocca but was airlifted to Melbourne. So wife been taking off work and every chance we had we would take the trip over. It's a solid 6 hour round trip. He's been improving and is finally gonna get out of SICU today and into a private room.

Sounds like good news. Best wishes to your family.

Thanks man. They have yet to determine what brain damage or permanent damage from the aneurysm occurred. All considering I haven't heard many people survive a brain aneurysm so for him to be alive is a good thing

Re: My "Shop"

I couldn't go see my BIL this weekend cause I've bee fighting a alittle bug. Don't need to get anyone sick over there so wife doing a solo run this weekend. I decided to come home from work and play with new toy I found.
c57636a04e1aa8b5a19ece61836002e8.jpg
Yes someone tossed this out for the trash. I couldn't pass it up. The other night I fired it up and been pressure testing it for 3 days. It's hasn't drop any psi. It runs, doesn't leak so what's the problem? Well all I could find is regulator knob is gone ( but still can be adjusted) and tank pressure gauge face came lose. That's it.

I also got a 100ft of rubber hose too.
bfb66cdb036ec8a66bbdba62a84a73b5.jpg
Here's another issue bad male end on hose and rusted quick connect.
Ok so 2 new ends. LOL no big deal. $10 at store cause I like Milton fittings anyway.
I drained tanked and said WTF.

f5c2c63d22a2a5a4be0c26ba3bc6510d.jpg
That's only half cause I drained it right after I got it. I see don't understand why people don't drain their tanks. HELLO there's a label right here.
9da119856c596a87c3057f9907573732.jpg
And 2 very nice drain values to boot. *******!!!!
So all included I need $10 in hose fittings and I got a compressor and 100ft of quality rubber hose for free. Never ceases to amaze me what people toss out.

First, I hope things are going well for your BIL. Best wishes all around for him.

That was a great freebie find. Looks like your TLC can bring lots of life in the compressor.
I always like finding something like that for free!! Free is my middle name.

Best Wishes

Thanks Herb. It's really a helpless feeling. Yesterday wasn't good and today was better from what wife tells me. We both know it's going to be a long road to recovery.

Alittle garage time was just a break from the whirlwind lately.

Re: My "Shop"

Updating BIL. Today was a good day in the fact that my BIL was transported to a rehab facility. He spent alittle over 2 weeks in SICU after 2 brain surgeries and about a week or so on a regular floor. It's very good considering it's been about a month since initial brain aneurysm and a day or two later he had a stroke. Now since he's going to rehab they'll be able to determine the extent and damage of both the brain aneurysm and the stroke. Right now he's able to move his left arm and leg with limited of his left hand which is a good sign. One issue that he still fighting is the blood from the bleeding is still causing pressure on his brain which they say is causing some memory issues. They say it's just a matter of time before that blood gets is absorbed back into the body.

Re: My "Shop"

I was gonna take my at the golf course under my normal tree but saw a garage sale sign and decided to check it out.
Here's the goodies I found.

12" 10"? 6" adjustable wrenches all US-made
Big tongue and groove plyer
Lion head locking plyer
And small cutter plyer

I ended up getting this too

Vise is pretty cool and it's going to be really nice with one of my upcoming projects. There where other tools there worth picking up but I already had some of those plus duplicates. I know my wife is going to be a little pissed that I went out and spent my lunch money. LOL
I spent $6 for everything. I gave that guy $7 ( the cash I had on me) because I knew it was a family estate sale. He asked am I sure and said yes. I wish had more cash or would have gotten more but I'm really happy with finds and alittle break from everything.

Good man! I guess you're doing ok if you left Mons with at least $7. :rocker:

Im G money (that's what they call me at work ) and can make my money go pretty far. Shopnut was too preoccupied at the time but he put me on his tab so I can keep my cash for tool finds. [emoji482]

It was same GS I hit the other day. I asked them if the still had it and they luckily they did. Paid $5 for it but I named my price too. I really like it and have a good plan for it when I get around to it.

That's a good find. I have so many carry boxes where the tray was missing I'm starting to just look for spare trays like that.

I don't believe it was a carry tray for a tool box. It's just too tall and don't think Craftsman never stamped a tool tray think that just to go in a box. I'm thinking it was a stand alone tray you could buy. I haven't been able to find too much info on it although I haven't really dug too much.

One theory I have in that it wasn't sold in the tool department but the garden department as a garden tray.

That cool and could be handy for tool carrier on quick projects.

Thanks that's a similar thought I had for it. I did break the number one rule of picking if you haven't seen it before by it when you see it luckily enough they still had it

Good to see you on the Journal! As my grandma used to say "It's hotter than the wholesale hubs of hell".

I never found out what the wholesale hubs of hell were, but knowing her that would have been really hot.

I sure hope everything is going well with you and the family.

Best Regards
Herb

Thanks Herb and I went back and edited that post. LOL I never really left the GJ but did stop all work in the 5 Stitches Garage.

On that note I do have good news for all. My BIL gets out of rehab this Thursday and is coming stay with us for about week or 2. Then we will take him back to his house where he will restart his work and stuff. Rehab had worked miracles and looks like no physical problems but having some mind issues like getting distracted easily and some math issues. These say that in due time those might subside. I can say from where we were alittle over a month ago to now has been one hell of a trip. All signs point to a full recovery.

Re: My "Shop"

Ok a update on the 5 Stitches Garage.
I finally got a new mower. This thing is F@CKING awesome.

This is what's left of my old one.

I kept engine and parts cause I still have 2 other engines and deck in outside cabinet. That's just in case this one goes down I have a spare I can use. It will have to be assembled but that's a 30-60 min job.

I also have a project in the garage that will give all you woodworkers a stiffy.
0affb7430e41bac399d17f9b5ec7194a.jpg
It's my FIL old Dewalt radial arm saw. It went to my BIL house and I retrieved it when BIL had issues. My FIL has been without his trusted Dewalt since dec when he moved. Long story short it's going back to my FIL after I fix some issues and rewire it. Wires are all cracked and unsafe as it sits. My FIL is itching to reuse it but waiting on me to fix it. I should have it done in next few days.
