Another box taumac? Where will you find room for it if you did get it? I guess the wife's car doesn't really need to be inside.![]()

Well I think we stop reading about your garage until you paint that wall.
You mentioned Tapcons. Have you considered the number of holes you're putting in the block wall? May I suggest putting full height furring strips, 24"oc, over newly painted wall and using those as your modular mounting system. Another idea would be use something like the Closemaid track system. This would allow for endless variations and they even have 16" deep brackets.
I'll let you get back to your garage and painting.![]()
I like that floating bench you keep using and am impressed it will handle the stresses you've put it through. Saying that I'm with Shorty, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!! paint that wall, You will never have a better chance and it would do wonders. While you have the paint out toss some on those shelves and that bench as well.
Thank you in advance,
JB
P.S. While Shorty was a little indirect with his requests for you to paint the wall I'll just come out and say it, paint that wall for the love of all things garage related. All in fun.![]()

Hey, I thought you were going to buy a condo and give up your shop.![]()
LOL, Sometimes I think about it. Remember how I said in one of my posts that I have a garage or a shop idea for everywhere? Yep, my ex-sister-in-law has a condo apartment in Merrit Island Fl. It's a 3 bedroom apartment with bottom floor as a community garage. You have your own spot with a storage area for stuff. Last time I was there I figured out a plan that if we lived there what set up I would have. LOL
Why doesn't that surprise me.Why doesn't that surprise me.
Ha! thought that too. In fact when that joke was first mentioned I had a fleeting moment of thought about how cool it was going to be to watch the birth of max utilization of the available space. I know Gerard would find creative ways to turn a condo garage into much more than I could imagine.
But glad to see you back to working on your garage and the new wall! Can't wait to see it come to life.
Not going to poke about the painting either. I have no room to criticize given how m walls look.
Keep up the good progress.

Yes a get together at your place would be great. It could be a flashlight party. For every pegboard hole we shine a light in and it's not painted, you take a drink. Every one that is painted, we take a drink.![]()

I find inspiration for my garage in many places. Tonight, me and wife had to run by her job to do few things. She is a day school teacher and in her room was this.
It's the coolest things I seen. Now funny part is wife started this job after I designed my bench mounting system but if you look at it closely it has same holes to move the vise. LOL Now if I build a bench I'm gonna copy this idea.

Thanks man, since I drive for a living and see many many garages and house designs. I've seen townhouses to multi million dollar homes and always think of how I would do each.
Maybe you ought to consider becoming a "space saving consultant". You might find yourself a new profession that pays well for what seems to be your natural talent. That isn't a joke. You might have more work than you could handle.

It's funny that you said about sizing up condo garages, etc. - I do that whenever we're on holiday.
They're not usually very wide, but some of them are quite deep - the one we stayed at last weekend was actually about 2 (medium sized) car lengths deep.

Gerard, I receive mail flyers several times a year that are basically ads for home improvement businesses. One of them, HOMEPROS GUIDE always has garage makeover ads. I bet you could start a side business without quitting your day job. The only drawback is that most people who pay for garage makeovers don't want anything but the most expensive solutions. It might make you ill to have to install granite countertops and Honduran Mahogany drawer fronts on Lista cabinets. Here's the January-February 2016 Broward County (South Florida) edition cover:I've been asked to do couple of friends garages and have considered doing this for a living. I really do enjoy it and do believe I have knack for it. I don't know if that kind of profession is around in my area? I know that I tried designing my fathers, FIL, and few others garages. They like mine but none have really taken the ball and run with it.
Option 3 with that extra space to place one of your carts of rolling tables looks great and versatile.
The whole change is coming along great.
The garage/storage consultant idea is not far fetched either. And not just to do whole garages but some folks need help with just basic storage layout like you did with tubs and pails.

Gerard, your last option looks the goods but just let that sit a while and try it first.
Regards
Thanks 1/2 cup. I believe the beauty of this design is that I can configure very easily. I know that I want to find another bottom roller and another chest. When that time comes I will easily be able to bring in any piece without hours or days of work.
