Wow, this just got better than I could have even imagined. Now we have a new member and he's trading Gerard some totes for the wall of craftsman. Okay, I'm into a good story and this one might be better than the Tampa and Strouty saga. (Haven't you heard the latest on that one?) I'll be happy to fill any of you in if you want to know.

Oh excuse my manners.....Welcome to the GJ Andy. You are about to become one of the most famous GJ members.

Thank you for the welcome. Wow, Im new and I'm going to be famous? I don't know what I walked into.

Andy, Taumac did tell you about the Florida Chapter of the Garage Journal and the gathering at his place right? It'd be great to see you and Taumac there at the same time.
We have a great time together, lots of shop talk.

Taumac has mentioned a group of his friends here. I'm guessing this is the Florida Chapter of Garage Journal? If there's a gathering of people sure I would be interested in coming.

Ok all. I need a GJ ruling.

I saw the ad for the totes for craftsman tool boxes. I rounded up 5 miscellaneous totes and went and brought new totes (see below) to make the trade today. Now the burger is reneging. I call bull$hit!

I didn't receive any messages or emails on the deal.

Now I'm really pissed. G you promised me first dibs if I came up more totes. I think this calls for a dingo's breakfast on G!!!!

G's pissed because he doesn't have any Lista's.

I promised you first dibs on other items not the the wall of craftsman.

I'm thinking the HF 44 needs to be a twin to my HF after this, just saying.

I doubt that's going to happen. I'm getting rid of the wall so I need to find someplace to put the stuff I have in the "wall" boxes now.

I'm glad you asked Taumac. This is what I think I might have heard.

Tampa came back for a short period of time due to Bill tracking him down and me coaxing him back.

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5715166&postcount=280

So things went along pretty well for a few days. Tampa's here and Strouty is here and all seemed back to GJ normal.

Then Tampa went MIA again. Well this time Strouty was at a very vulnerable place in his life and not having Tampa around kind of put him over the top (so to speak). So he packed up Bev (his work truck) and headed out to find his best bud.

He sent me a text yesterday and said he found Tampa and they were going to go on a trip together and wouldn't probably be back for several months. He spoke of Islands and sand as well as snow capped mountains. He asked me to tell all you guys that even though he'll be away for awhile, he'll miss us and at some point he'll be back. He said he could not speak for Tampa. There was no mention of the fab four.

That's it, that's all I know. If I hear more, I'll share.

Oh, I was on that thread but clicked off it for some reason just before the time this all went down.

Good thinks happen to those that wait….

….to paint. I ran across this garage while looking at new posts and came up with an ideal. Instead of Cadillac, you can do yours in Ford or Craftsman colors. When I come down next month, I expect to see the floor looking like this one. No pressure.

WOW, that's beautiful. If I do something like that I'll have to hire a maid service to clean the place and another service to wax and polish the floor every week.

I haven't seen a thread start yet from craftsman37 showing the new (to him) WoC. I really need to subscribe to it so maybe you can give him a holler and get him moving....

Gerard how is the new bench of totes (BoT) coming along, will the machinist boxes be part of it ?

Cheers GB :beer2:

Did Gerard go on vacation? Or is he helping Andy getting all those boxes moved. :willy_nil

cb, I'm sure the BoT thread will start shortly. Probably why he's MIA.

Vacation? He lives in Florida, he lives his life in a vacation. :) Maybe he is just hiding out in the corner of craigslist searing for enough craftsman boxes to make the Wall of Buckets into the Wall of Craftsman 2.0.

As hot as it's been I would guess he is enjoying air conditioning inside. It's been a hot and humid summer even up here in north. It's got me doing more inside time as well.

Oh please guys, it's not all vacation down here.:lol_hitti

I had a lady tell me one time that part of your wages for working down here was paid in sunshine, as everyone there was from somewhere else.needless to say, I told her to keep her sunshine.
Born and raised in south Florida.

T has been kinda quite, probably painting the garage getting ready for the gathering, want to surprise us:beer:.

Sorry but been out of town working. I probably won't be able to do anything to the fall.

Nope, hasn't moved them yet. i don't have the room at the moment. I was to put new bigger shed on my poperty but work has called me away. Yes, it's something I wanted done already but I get paid well for my job but the downside is the traveling.

Maid? That's what Mrs. Taumac has you for. :lol_hitti:

Closet done yet? Is sheetrock involved? This will be good.

Mrs Taumac will be here next week. You can ask her yourself. I'm not responsible for her actions that happens after you ask. We might hear a sound close to bacon hitting hot grease.

I'll be honest there really hasn't been anything on CL lately. I'm really content on way things are around here.

YES SIR, definitely not spending time outside doing much of anything. I do what needs to be done and get back inside. These are the times I wish I had a basement shop like you.

I do need to tidy up the place but you guys have seen all the ugly so probably won't be much of a surprise. You will be like Emeraldcoupe when he said no pictures can show the shear amount of stuff you have in here.

I don't blame you here.. it's been hot here in AZ too.. 110 today, supposed to be 113 tomorrow. And it stays hot!! It's 9pm right now and it's still 103 outside.

Ugly is what we want to see, not some pretty bow tie with floors that your afraid to spill beer on.
Despite the nazi indicated lack of paint, you have a great looking shop. I look forward to going through your stuff:lol_hitti

Thanks CB. Not worried about beer spilling on the floor although that is a definite GJ infraction and most definitely a FC infraction. I can't wait to have everyone over. Now if I could just find the damn keys to all the toolboxes to lock them up. LOL
