Thread name change and all new thinking? I am liking the entire thing. I need to get my nose back on here and see what your doing. I see lots of nice things going on in the place.

So has his shop!
I found what I was looking for. At least my new to me cabinets were not PINK! There are some oddball sized wall cabinets that I am trying to figure highest and best use for.
Hey, the cabinet was free from my in laws and trust me I hated the PINK too. Just imagine that inside a kitchen. Yep, its a typical Florida house from the mid 80's. Do you know it's scary that you can almost know age of a house by what colors they used inside? Do you walk into any unrestored house from the 80s or 90s and you'll see it yourself what the F@CK were they thinking?
I was just busting your balls about your pink ones. Last house we had was built in 1955 and had a full on pink bathroom. The cabinets I got came from my cousin's basement so they were probably the original kitchen cabinets, are mismatched sizes and were painted white over probably natural wood finish somewhere between the 60's and 90's. Price is same you paid and they changed some of my plans and lit a fire under my *** to get some work done.
Don't worry ball busting welcome here. Do you have a garage thread? Be interesting to see what your doing.

Don't worry mine is a mess too ATM.
Are the MB's tops both the same height now ?
GB.
Gerard, well done.![]()

Definitely the layout. The title is still in single digits.I've lost track of what has been changed the most, the title or the actual garage.![]()
Wow! It looks like you left no shelf or box untouched. Lots of empty pails stacked up there so you must have really did a big purge to the curb. Looking forward to the new and improved garage.

Just checking in to see what's new. Heaven knows I can't keep up with all your doing. I think changing is good for the soul and the old outlook on life. Besides, "If you rest, you rust".
I am locked and loaded to see where you take the "Gerard Garage"next!!
Best Regards

How about "The Weather Garage...Just Wait 5 Minutes and It'll Change"?

Definitely nice to roll that work outside and keep the mess out there as well. For ease of rolling a heavy work bench over the screen tracks you might also consider some larger diameter casters with rubber tires on them. This would help both with ease of rolling the weight and bridge over the gaps in your threshold track as well without damaging them. Same principle as you mention with the car tire just smaller. Maybe a 5 or 6 inch diameter caster with rubber tires on them.
You keep the bench height the same by attaching some offset brackets first for mounting the casters unless you can handle the increase in height and just mount straight under the corners.

That's it guys, just throw some gas on the fire, now the MB will higher than the rest of them, then G will be modifying those to match and then he'll be ripping out the bench on the other wall because the top of don't match, making spacers for the HF 44, oooooooooooooo.
Here comes another name change.![]()

Gerard, I don't think you need to change the casters. All you need is a hand truck with big tires. A piece of plywood under both ends of the cabinet to spread the load and you can lift and pull one end over the track. Go to the other end, lift and push the other end over the track. If it were me, I wouldn't even mount the plywood permanently but I'm pretty lazy. Not Lazy Andy lazy but "Lazy Bob Heine might not get out of bed lazy."One thing is that MB is a heavy SOB. I need to make a better ramp idea to roll in and out of garage because of my screen door tracks.
Tracks are aluminum and so is the ramps on both slides. They're fine for car tires because weight is spread out and softness of tires. Hard casters on heavy MB and toolboxes seem to dent the ramps and bend guides for the doors. I just add that to project list. LOL

Bob has a good idea there. I have used strips of 1/4" lauan plywood to keep refrigerators from marring a soft sheet vinyl floor in the past. Your casters are not any smaller than a refrigerator and you have the advantage of pushing rather than pulling on your benches. The dolly would give you the lift to get it started if it is still too heavy.
