Thanks man. Although, his isn’t the biggest unit it does take up good amount of space. He at one point had it built into a huge bench. I know it’s highly debated on usefulness of radial arms saws on the GJ I find them to be great saw.
I also find them to be a really useful tool, and would have one if I had the space.

Today, we and wife had to run the store. Its alittle on chilly side for us today and so wife wanted to make chili. I also picked up some thing but I’ll get to those later.

There’s only 3 of us in our house but my wife cooks she can feed a small army or a 3rd world nation. I see all the cans I’m opening ( which put our electric can opener through its paces ) i said I’ll save those.

8f52d3e6df2f616061c4b6079d2c21b9.jpg

After washed out and labels removed.

3bfa21ecfcd477ef4201f2a9964f692d.jpg

Ended up with 14 kidney bean cans and 6 tomato cans. I’m also like repurposing these cans and alway nice to put “something” in them. Theses probably use In my file cabinets to keep things organized.

ca352b213960aa1851617aad1b13d244.jpg

On to the other things I got today. I spend a lot of money on these yellow bins over the years.

849b59dff427a465b5205d8c5ea0d53d.jpg

They been good and I was able to put them in my lateral file cabinet great. Every time I went to Kmart I pick up few more and at almost $8 a piece I currently have roughly $176 into these. When I thought of using file cabinet for my nut and bolt storage I knew I needed legal size cabinet to fit the bins. They fit in lateral file so should fit in legal size right? This is story takes a left F@CKING turn. I been waiting on file cabinets to show up ( which I knew it would be awhile which was fine ) only to have the yellow bins not fit the F@CKING DRAWERS. WTF!!!

d40c89e9cd4c1ef754f0d30f7f44e881.jpg

I can fit them if I lay the flat but I can only fit 8 per drawer. That means almost 3 drawers of spaces burned up because of my assumption that if they fit in lateral file they should fit a legal size file drawer.

Well go back a month or so I had to fly out to Portland Oregon and bring som home. Being I was flying I hate going through security is PIA. I learned to have a checked bag and carry a back pack with everything in it. So needed something for chargers, plugs, headphones personal items so I found theses at Walmart.

Honestly, they worked great and keep me organized. They made it great going through the TSA security. They where cheap too. I think they where under $3.00 too. I thought hell these would be great little storage bins for the garage. Knowing they made a bigger version I went back today and cleaned off the shelf.

These are great bins the perfect size I need to fit my file cabinets and perfect at $3.82 a piece.

5ded200c86696832d6bcabd2f9bc1350.jpg

I can fit 13 per drawer and if use the small ones I can fit 19 per drawer using this configuration.

c85b079a8e4f80978dc776f9b8904229.jpg

17 small and 2 big like this.

92042f8654f57601e1e3481407d40dfc.jpg

My plan is to buy at least 16 more and have 2 full drawers of the big ones. I also have a small file cabinet probably get some more of those too. Well if anything a big step in getting those file cabinets in use and working.

I have the same Plano boxes. I really like mine. It definitely beats digging around in drawers, or bins, looking for what you need. They have really saved me a lot of time. I wish I had took the time to do this years ago. I hope they work out well for you too.

I don’t know? I left the patina of the original owner on there. $5 for each one... sure deal... you’ll have them at Flywheelers. LOL

How have they held up over the years? I can say one thing I do really like is the latching clips. Sure they make more higher end plastic fishing tackle totes but IMO great alittle tote for price.

That is a pretty good price for those Plano boxes given they have an actual latch, much more than the cheap HF versions that break off easily. Walmart eh? I may have to check that out.

Man, you got a great price on those and its a good thing you cleaned them out when you saw it. I just looked up those same boxes on Amazon and they are now 3-4 times the price you paid. You were in the right place at the right time.

I got mine this year as a gift from my wife and kids for Father's Day. I use them pretty often, and so far they have held up really well. I think they will hold up for a long time. I still have similar Plano tackle boxes that have been used very heavily, and they are still working great after 15-20 years.

My wife cleaned out our local Wal-Mart when she bought mine. She paid the same price as TAUMAC. I haven't looked lately, but I still think they are selling for the same price now.

Its one of last days off work before Christmas. I know I’m working 6 days next week and not sure about 12/17. The week before Christmas I know probably working 7 days with next day off from work probably being Christmas Day. So spent some time with the wife doing some last minute shopping at some outlets walls. Knowing me I just had to check out the only tool store in the whole place. It seemed to be outlet for Home Depot carrying a lot of Rigid and Ryobi tools. I found some stuff worth picking up.

0008c24773dc029d1f6eb54a81155bb1.jpg

A lot of stuff was discounted more than prices on items.

Laser level $7
Thermometer $5
Earphones $3.75
Arbors (4) $4.00 total.
Primer bulbs $4

Ended up walking out of store paying $25.41.

I came home a loaded the app on to phone. They work but since have I IPhone 7 without a tradition headphone jack had alittle issue. So I got my old LTC Evo 4g out and tried it on there too. Both my phones have cases which think threw off the laser level and thermometer acted slightly funny on the EVO. That’s I believe is phone jack issue. Supposedly offer a inspection scope which didn’t see there.

3c5ec93f6485df43b82854711c07cec4.jpg

That would have something to look into if a saw it. It’s something I’ll play around with again when I get the time. Probably all just settings and alittle calibration they should work ok. They where cheap enough to take the chance on.

Well, I see Gerard has been busy. As you may know, I gave G a couple file cabinets, well I had a GPS in one, you know, it leaves red lines on the app that tracks movement.

YIKES! Something big is going on in that garage. First a big cabinet torn down and then a chain saw appears! :shocking::shocking:
Do you have your hockey goalie mask on too!

Maybe cutting out a wall to enlarge the garage in the dead of night so the city will never notice?

Well let’s see. I get garage all cleaned up for most part for guys to show up. I make a spot for the new cabinets to sit until I can get them painted and diollies made for them. Yes I said the “P” word. Well I screwed that all the F@CK up in normal G fashion.

It started off really nice because I said well let’s at least empty the cabinet above the sink into the file cabinet. I had no plans to keep it so it I was good I can get it cut up and tossed out for Thrusday morning trash.

I got one drawer with spray cans, one with cleaners. One with oils/ grease and bottom one was bulk items. Needless to say I ran out of room. I wish they where a 5 drawer cabinet. Well I can’t say that because no matter what you always need extra drawer no matter what cabinet you have.

Last night got home and decided cabinet needed to be cut up and it did go out for trash this morning. This is what looked like after cabinet gone.

c91c7dc3e2e1161eee45a35f41cf965a.jpg

Yes I didn’t paint underside of shelf. The cabinet was up and it was such a deal to even get it up there it wasn’t coming down unless it was leaving. You wall needs texture and paint too because that the wall I took down to move washer and drawer inside and move the WH down. At end of the night this is what left of the sink area.

9534310d9552807fee2c107486fe0d4d.jpg

I got some work to do in this area but this will be only area in garage with something I can’t roll on casters. Ill post plans when tear into it more but this area definitely need attention.

That is just the GJ two tone. It takes years of experience to pull it off as well as you did.

There's more than two tones going on there. If we call it Patina does that mean I can leave my walls looking the same way and suddenly become fashionable?

Big G setting the trend! :rocker::bowdown::rocker:

Wow G, those organisers were a good price. Will the draw be "tippy" heavy with the trays do you think if you slide out to get the tray at the back ?

I've been looking for an arbor to fit old thin 5" grinder discs - will see if I can find those ryobi's here somewhere.
