Hi Kev, now I feel rude for how I asked the question. I feel you are very artistic in your attachments and hats off to you! Could you please school me on a nice strong riveting tool and hardware kit?

I'm glad you asked the question. I suspect that the way I do things DOES look weird to people who don't know me well.

The short answer is, when I get your response, "Amazing metalwork," THAT is why I do it. I want people to look at it and go, "wow."

For the "how to" and what tools to use for solid rivets, go to my other thread, "Solid Rivets 101"
https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=172474

If you read that, then have specific questions about tools and supplies, I'd be happy to answer them.

Stay warm,

Kev

I have been out in the shop more. Trying to spend one evening and most of Sundays in the shop each week.

Looks like you and I think a lot alike...you always seem to be trying something new.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

I started thinking about my design, (wing section, with cutout for flag) and was wondering if you happen to know, isn't there another member here that does similar work? Maybe a German guy? I thought I remember seeing pics of his shop and work, toolboxes and furniture? If anyone knows please post the thread link or PM it to me so we don't muck up this thread.
