Been struggling forever on socket storage. I’ve been a USA craftsman guy since I was a kid and bought my first set in like 1993. Still have it and bought other sets and loose pieces. I don’t hate the blow molded stuff, but it just doesn’t hold what I have and wastes space.
I’ve finally decided to make a modular wooden organizer starting with the 3/8’s stuff.
Here is rough layout plan for the sae deep, 12pt, and 6pt. Nothing too wild. Holes will be drilled with Forstner bits. Then a similar piece for metric, just deep and 6pt. Then a divider panel to hold the old speed handle, hex, torx, and adapters. Ratchets and drivers in the front.
If this goes well, 1/4in will follow.

Been dragging my feet at work for years to grab my cdl permit and start the classes. Took today off to take the permit test. Then I started laying out the 3/8’s sae socket organizer.

Of course the wood is the drawer fronts off a roadside dresser.

I’m pleased. Now to plan the metric side, hex, Torx, and ratchet display.

Saved this little guy in the pool. Just got her open.

I never had a pool before I moved into our current house. My motto is, "No one drowns on my watch" and that includes any living creature if I can prevent it.
I've saved a lizard, some bees, a couple June bugs - though I've found more already dead than alive, and one dragon fly. The lizard must have been in the water awhile and being cold blooded I thought it was dead at first. I set it down on the warm concrete and it was moving a bit in a few minutes, then it ran off - A good day.
