Where did you get the metal cups? Those look great....

He grabbed them from West Marine. Like 12 bucks each. It’s a boating supply kind of place. Kansas may have them, but I’m sure the internet does.

Do they come out for cleaning? I love little containers like that. I always wanted to do a workbench with holes cut in it to have stainless pans like that recessed.

Spent some time getting organized in the shop once the rain cut in to my yard cleanup.
Added a stick to the wall to hang 2 pairs of keeper wheels. I don’t want to hoard extra wheels, but I need a few. I have the original pair with tires that came on the tandem. They were switched out for aluminum and newer rubber, but I feel that the stock ones have to stick around.
Adjusted and added a few more hooks to the ceiling to maximize storage while being able to pull down any bike easily.
It’s hard to get a good pic. Here’s from just outside the door. 8 bikes hung in 9 spots. I’ll add one more to the left for 10. That’s it! Well, plus the tandem on the floor. I think I can manage with 10. If new keeper bikes move in, someone will have to go.

It always amazes me at how much you can fit up there, looks great. You are starting to catch up to me, just a couple more and we will have the same amount, of course mine burbs don’t hang quite as nicely as your bike do!

Squash, just read through the second half of this thread the past few days (read the first half a few months back), and I'm impressed with what you've been able to do / fit in your space! Gives me hope that I can be more productive in my own little cave.

Keep up the good work!

Been a while since I’ve posted. Focused on bikes lately. Now it’s time to get the shed/shop purged and organized so that I can actually accomplish something this winter. Need to be able to work inside with the door closed when there’s snow on the ground.
And a pic of the roadside finds from yesterday. Just sitting on a pile of scrap by the road.
It’s not everyday you need a 1 and 7/8 wrench, but when you do.

Needed my genny a few weeks back after a big wind storm blew through. The genny all seemed good, but after a while it started surging.
A buddy thought that it may be due to a lack of air cleaner, needing some back pressure.
Decided to fab up a plate to use the stock air cleaner on the replacement carb.

All exciting things do Captain.
Like this sweet bracket I made to hang this 30ft extension cord reel. Can be used inside or out of the shed.

I haven’t touched this thread in a while.
Came upon this beast, so it’s time I mix it up and get away from the bikes. Let’s clean up an old Snap On Showcase.
The lid is bent where the top hinge thing broke and got forced out of place.
Googling brought me to a GJ thread where someone said the Showcase panel had ghosted wrenches painted. Now I need to get out to the shed with some cleaner and find out. Anyone confirm?

Thanks Bob!
All excited I grabbed my Lysol wipes and headed out to the shed. Huh, can’t see anything. Start wiping the light coating of dust off. Huh, a wrench. A single wrench? On that whole panel? Painted brown. Like, that’s really what they did for the 65th anniversary?
Felt like Ralphie with the decoder ring.
Jokes on me Snap On.

Tweaked some bends and got the drawers a little smoother. Needs 1 slide that I couldn’t help. Then I gave the top a quick clean and 3000 grit wet sand to see what would clean up. Good enough to find it a new home.

Ended up with a gift certificate to the HF. I’ve been meaning to grab the wrench organizers. I really like them. Perfect for the standard and metric, but what about the rest? Buy more. Well, I’ve got a template now and a bandsaw.
Here’s a shorty I made for the ratcheting wrenches.

The shed has been neglected for too long. The boy convinced me that we need to re-arrange things. After a bunch of thinking, we decided to ditch the old Craftsman drawers, up for sale if someone is local, lose the peninsula style and use the low Vidmar under the bench. Lots more room for activities.

The boy got a flat on the Devinci this week. His bike came with a set of “downhill” wheels and tires, so we switched them over. Now we need to do our first tubeless tire slime redo.
How much residual slime is ok to leave?

Going to get back on the shed posting. Got a bunch of little projects planned. Cleaned the rust off the slides of this beast sliding saw that the neighbor passed along. Also, made that second shelf that I mentioned to hold the rest of those matching boxes for parts.
