The Husky shelves are most definitely made by Edsal. They don't even have "Husky" anywhere on them. The packing has Edsal instructions and customer hotline inside.
Great shelves though! Super sturdy

Sam's Club also sells a version of the same shelves also made by Edsal. Same dimensions, but gray.

Wish there was a way to find the Edsal shelves in 96" tall for a reasonable price.

"I bought a couple of these from Home Depot:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-77-...2?N=5yc1vZcapp

Man... They are nice. They go together in minutes and are as steady as all hell. Plus, they are perfectly sized to store the plastic bins that I use for project storage."

Could you tell me more about the black and yellow bins? They look a lot better than what you get at Wally World or Box store.

Ryan.......the place looks great. Which lights do you like better....the T*'s or the CFL's? I would think the CFL's would really save on electric, but might compromise on light output if working on something.

I'm adding on a 28' x 36' with Cathredral trusses and 10' walls, and trying to decide what sort of lights to put in.

I'm also looking at lifts, and don't know whether to go with a midrise and leave it stationary in the middle of the floor, or go with a 4 post and have it on wheels where I can move it. Your place has given me a lot of idea's though. Great job and looking forward to updates. Mainly the one update where you have ran out of room and need to add on.

Haha... IT's a 2.5" chop... very mild... And yeah, it's getting glossy black paint eventually.

It looks wonderful!

Where are the little red square bins from? All from the same group as the storage system?

This is a pretty awesome idea and good execution. Too bad lista is way out of my price range otherwise I'd be tempted to copy.

Thought behind different drawer colors? Looks good, just curious.

They are color coded. Read this:

You'd be surprised how much cheaper the scratch and dent stuff is from Motorhead. It's still not cheap, but a lot cheaper than I expected. You just gotta be patient and wait until the right stuff shows up.

I bought all of the red and green drawers brand new. They are not scratch and dent stuff. Had I not done that, this whole storage wall would have been under $2k I think...

madness. complete madness. wow

Complete madness is this:

I have number form synethesia... which means that I involuntarily associate every number with a color. I have since I can remember...

Growing up, doctors told my folks that there was a very good chance that I would be a genius of some sort... or, at the very least be REALLY good at math. So, I had that going for me and when I was younger I really looked forward to kicking some major math *** when I grew up.

Thing is, it never happened. I'm average at best with numbers...

And the down side is that since I associate numbers with color, organizing something like this makes me a total mental case for a while... It takes my mind a little while to accept that I have 1/4" hardware in a green drawer when, to me, green equates to the number 5.

And then, I start thinking - "It's cool... 1 + 4 = 5. Green. Cool."

But, what about 1/2" hardware? And so on...

I gets really, really crazy around here...

Now, that wouldn't work with Common Core...everyone knows that 1+4= the square root of green minus 20. ;)

I recently did a bunch of banks of this Borroughs Shelving. As you see it with the same dividers you have and the drawers were 9",6'" and 3" tall this was around $3000 a bank of 5. Customer wanted Lista blue but there are lots of different colors.

Dang Ryan, I love all you've done with the garage, but I gotta say I love your coupe. I'm pretty picky about what I like and don't like as far as what people have done on the HAMB and I'm a stock kinda guy that spends the most time on fordbarn- but that thing looks niiiice... That's a worthy build that has class. I like it.

The wall unit is sweet. The jack stand storage is genius. That can easily be duplicated in metal or wood. Sigh, another GJ inspired project added to the list.

Man, I don't see a scratch or dent. Nice score.

I love having hardware at home. The sanitary-ness of your set-up really makes me want to get a label maker and clean up my index files.

Someday.

C'mon Ryan......get rid of the green, associate a number with white, then you will be Patriotic as you can be with storage. Red, White, and Blue. Plus you have an all American rod sitting in there, so make it.... True Blue and You!!!! :rocker:

BTW....what number is white

White isn't a color... But white correlates to the letter O in my mind. Zero is actually black.

This is how I see numbers:

IIRC from school, isn't white all of the colors combined, and black is the absence of color? I may have that turned around.

Nonetheless.....it still looks killer. And in school I was piss poor in math, and never even heard of associating colors to numbers. :headscrat Always something to learn everyday on this site, no matter what the age :rocker:

White is all color combined, black is absence of color.

Think of the sun as the vessel that all color originates from. If the sun is "off", black is the result. If the sun is "on" at full intensity, the result is white.

In between on and off is where the color spectrum lives.

Those damn drawers are just the cats whiskers. The nuts and bolts in 'em are the icing on the cake.

Evil... one of these days I'll contact Motorhead Extraordinaire for some Lista stuff. My wallet will hate me. But they are probably 10 minutes from my office.

Torture I say!

I'm going to move the green stuff into the red drawers when I'm out there in April. Hey, what does RED + GREEN equal?

Ryan, that is an awesome setup.

I have to talk to Joe about it. I wonder if I can make older drawers work with it. Regardless that is something to put on my want list for sure.

I may not have number form synethesia, but when it comes to organizing I want to have things separated down to the finest detail. It really kills me, I am working on being a little more vague in my descriptions, but I feel I should have a label and a place for every single component. It can severely hamper the process when you start arguing with yourself over how many bins should be labeled for 3/8" bolts. I have 3/8" corse, fine, socket cap, button head, socket cap with slot, shouldered, full thread, allen head, 1/4" to 3 1/2" length and all that is just in stainless. :willy_nil
