Just ordered one yesterday. My little Ender3 was good for what it was,
but it's enough trouble to use and not quite reliable enough that I don't use it as much as I could. Plus, being basically limited to PLA and PETG limited me in what I could do with it.

Hopefully I'll be able to make better use of this one.
They are generations ahead of the Ender 3. Mine just sits now because it doesn't print reliably.

The K1C took some time to adjust and get it working the way I wanted, but now it is very near Bambu quality.
Their K2 seems to be on par or better than the X1C, so time will tell if these improvements extend to the K1 series as well.

Raising the Bed temperature for PLA from 50C to 60C improved the first layers while Pressure advance and slicer settings improved the rest. Bambu has the best filament settings out of the box, but most printers can be adjusted to the same quality.

Pushing Plastic on Youtube has info on these settings in Creality Print.
The new 5.0 version is also an ORCA slicer base like Bambu studio.
Creality Calibrating Pressure Advance
Creality Top Layer Settings

This vid tipped me over the edge, looks so much fun

Finally Upgraded my crappy laptop to a Top of the range Dynabook Portege a month or so ago, way more power and smarts than I'll ever need, so want to use some of it, immediately deleted Windows, and added Linux mint Cinnamon and downloaded Blender to start having a geek at, which I haven't really done yet.

Also know I want an enclosed Prusa, just a matter of researching/finding what will work for me.

LOL, the above vid has incentivized me, and good to see she is using Prusa/Blender as well.

Had a quick look around, like the look of them as well

Will take me a few weeks of musing over the options, love Linux but I still haven't worked out a few things, namely Mobile Broadband ( want a backup as I don't have a mobile phone and will lose landline phone /internet if power/access goes down) before I start doing more stuff that will explode my head.
Currently using ethnernet connection and have Wi-Fi on my old laptop which has come good after also switching that to Linux.

This is a really good printer. I had one and really liked it though I did upgrade to a Creality K1 max for the extra print volume. I did the DIY enclosure kit for my 5M. Depending on prices I would suggest looking at the 5M Pro instead or possibly the AD5X. The pro is enclosed from the factory and offers good filtration as well as a camera. The AD5X is the multi color version.
Anyway, big fan of this printer.

Thankyou, I will look into them, I need an enclosed as I'm in a studio apartment and it'll be in my laundry, don't want the fumes

So what do people think of the Prusa Core One?
I love mine. Absolutely great printer. I started off with a cheapo Aliexpress/Ender3, which got me the 3d printing bug, but I wound up spending more time fixing failed prints than actually printing. So it sat and collected dust. I watched while 3d printing tech matured, and then Bambu hit the scenes and _really_ showed what 3d printing could be. It was amazing.
I was ready to buy a Bambu printer, but then the Core one was announced. I like Prusa as a company, and I value open source _greatly_. I didn't like that Bambu used Open Source software but kept everything 'closed'.
The Core one just works. There were a few rough edges getting things setup - I've had a couple failed prints - but nothing major.
Core one is a bit pricey, and doesn't come with multi spools/material (yet) - I am very excited about the Bondtech multi spool thing.

Bambu has a great product too - their AMS2 is amazing. Their price point is legit.

I just really like my Prusa. :D
