Maybe you're over-thinking this. Shunted sockets are the most commonly used in old fluorescent T8 fixtures. That's why they make double-end powered LED tubes...so that you dont have to change out the sockets. Find the right sockets can be a pain because they come in different sizes, heights, mounting methodes, etc.... It's much easier to get new tubes...double-end powered.Well I finally got to work on my light. Cut out the bad ballast and did some checking with my volt meter. Turns out that I have Shunted Sockets. The tubes I have will not work with Shunted Sockets. So I'm back to replacing my Sockets (Tombstones.)
Looking for suggestions where to purchase them. If possible I would like to find some like are in my Maxlite fixtures. They have Hot and neutral both wired on one end, the other end has no contacts.
