That is my thinking. But I may look into filters. I drove it around Saturday and the filter was starving it for fuel, it revs so much better now and pulls all the way to red line. I think its up to 80hp now. Haha
I have been looking, and that filter was garbage. It made its way to the trash last night. I might just get off my **** and put the side draft 40dcoes on.
Saturday morning I woke up bright and early to address the CEL on the wagon. I am getting codes for a DISA valve failure, and of course its the one that requires the manifold to be removed. I jumped in the car to pull it in the garage and light was off. I looked the car over and started to gather tools and... decided to wait. I just really didnt want to pull it all apart even though the parts are sitting on the work bench. Hof judging me for being lazy.

Rather than tearing the engine down, I gave it a wash.

Then I took a long cruise in the 02 to test out the fuel system and as I said earlier, it is running much better.
Sunday morning I was going to go to a carshow in Atlanta but they made it clear that they wanted everyone to wear masks, and it was hot as hell and I didnt want to deal with it. I decided to tackle the oil change and filter housing gasket on the M3. I started off with a Liqui Moly flush.

I drained the oil and pulled the filter housing.

While I was pulling the housing I noticed that the gasket was probably okay and the leak was likely from the Vanos oil supply hose. I got one of those on order. Since the car isnt going anywhere for a few days I ran home to get the steamer and cleaned up around the leak.

I got a lift home and ran some errands. I found this cool little alley while driving around.

And ended the weekend by sampling a couple bourbons I recently picked up. Both were very good.

Hopefully I can get the parts for the M3 this week and I might tackle a couple of other projects on it this week.
