I certainly understand why you would sell the Jeeps to focus your energy on the BMWs, but selfishly I really want to see you work some magic on those awesome Jeeps!I think my dad and I are going to actively try to sell the XJ wagoneer and the Cherokee Chief. Once the E9 is done we are going to work on the white 02 so it will likely go to my dads shop.
the E9 looks nice and coming together. any timeframe on when you want it finished?

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrSadly during this process I noticed some odd wear on the front tires so this little wash became expensive. I had to order two 20" Michelin's and made an appointment for an alignment next Monday. That being said, this thing does clean up pretty nice, and I need to do a full detail this winter.

That thing is begging for a debadge, pinstripe removal, and black wheels, man [emoji16]

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrIt really needs a detail and the bumpers repainted. Shes not big on modding cars but she does want to white or black out the bow ties. Its kinda nice having a normal car around the house.
Speaking of.... I removed my gas pedal last night.

And installed a pedal tuner. It cleans up all the lag associated with the drive by wire set up. I need to dial in the settings but race mode is way too strong. It has stock, stage 1, 2, 3. I think I have stage 1 set up for daily driving and Im working on a stage 2 set up for spirited driving. Its pretty cool to just reach down and change the car like that.

what product is this? for an e91? don't you have "DS" sport mode already? is it a 328xi? sorry so many questions![]()
Here is the link to the tuner. It allows for finer adjustments than putting it in sport.

And its a 328i. RWD!

Saturday I spend the morning in my happy place. It was in the low 50's when I started washing so I really appreciated my hot water hook up. I started by washing my wife's Tahoe and boy did it need it. I need to wash it more often because it was pretty bad. I did finally get to try P&S Brake buster on wheels that were actually dirty. It worked great and it might be the best tire cleaner I have ever used.

BTW, what wheel brush do you use? My wife's two sets of wheels each have annoying little gaps which are hard AF to clean well.
It seems BMW put a charcoal filter in the airbox to filter the filtered air that the air filter filtered.
So after putting the pedal tuner in and enjoying the better throttle response the mod bug has kinda bitten me. I did some research and it looks like the best bang for the buck is to swap and intake manifold from an earlier e90 330I and have the ecu flash tuned. This nets 30 or so hp and runs about $1000 total. Add an exhaust and intake box and you are looking at almost 50hp. Nothing earth shattering but it could be fun. The wagon is supposed to be my daily and I have other stuff I need to buy but it is very interesting. During my research I found there is a "Free mod" for the airbox.

I put it all back together and took it on a test drive to the local beer shop to pick up some celebratory IPA. The results were astounding..... I mean I cant even explain the amount of raw power............ Ok it did nothing. Nothing at all. Oh well, I guess I might have to do the intake manifold after all.

As a Dad who reads a lot of Dr. Seuss books, that made me laugh.
It really doesn't do anything but I did it as well. K&N filter and the charcoal delete. I very much want to do the 3IM upgrade but I have too much up in the air right now.
I have german eibach springs and koni fsd's sitting in the garage waiting to be put on![]()

I something like this.
And this little 4 finger wash mitt.
You can get the brushes anywhere but Obsessed garage is the only place I have found the mitts.
Thanks!
Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrGreat plan for the additional space for the wash bay. Curious, as I'm not sure if its more of a country or area specific thing, but had you also considered asphalt?
Your actual garage is 22x20? I would've sworn it was way bigger.
Kinda gives me hope. I'm in the slow (tediously slow) process of searching for a piece of land, and each and everyone I find that's (kind of) affordable is way too small to have a shed of at least 24x24 (that's what I'm aiming towards, at least).
Back to Sweet Home 3D it is![]()
Its 22x20 for the main box but the area with the table and walk through door is an additional 8x11.

Oh, ok.
Thanx. I'm trying to figure out how to fit a 21x21ish (ish, because we use meters here, not feet), in a 32.8x131.2ft land, that's the most common and affordable type o land you can buy in this town.
Sorry for the thread-jacking, if and when I finally buy, I'll open my own thread. I'm gonna need all of GJ's experience, expertise and advice.![]()

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrHope it's a simple fix on the wagon CEL.

Yes, the t stat and water pump are electric for some reason.![]()
I get the water pump but the T Stat is confusing... the normal one is pretty fool proof

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrHey there, that wagon is looking good! I'd like to lower my cars but there's so many pot-holes and speed bumps down here it's crazy.
How about the washbay update pictures?? I'm pouring some concrete myself and building a little steel structure to cover my vehicles and wash them, there's a long way to get to spec though (even further to "OG spec" lol).
Cheers,
Luis A.
