umm.. more info on this 2002 project for sale??

I vote for E9x M3, but I'm biasedLove my DCT for daily use. Have the Cobra if I need a manual itch to scratch. Which I did yesterday before the game.
I love my wagon, but they are bringing decent money on BAT so I am kinda tempted. The other option is to keep the wagon but sell the Chief, xj wag, my 2002 project, and maybe my 944 and get an e92 m3 manual. If I got an e90 m3 daily it would have to be DCT, so the wife can drive it. That scares me a little because she said the wagon was fast after the intake swap.![]()

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrMan, as much as I love the wagon, I think getting rid of those 4 other vehicles would be a tough pill to swallow in order to pickup an E90 M3. My vote is to see what you can get on BaT (like you said, they're fetching decent money) and keep the other rides.
That said, did I not know you had a 944???
Non Turbo 944, sell it now while market on them is still decent. The 02 if it's clean shell it should pull decent money being a southern car. Imagine someone would swap on early bumpers and maybe a M42 or a built M10 would be quite fun with it and a modern 5 spd.
How has progress been going with the E9?
Its the 74 that I crammed into my basement. The biggest issue I have with selling it, is that I have had like 10-15 people interested in it and I don't remember who was first and I am bound to make someone mad.

I honestly don't see myself ever getting the 02 and Chief on the road, and the XJ was an investment from the beginning. I think a clean e92 would be a better long term investment car than those 3 combined in their current shape. The 944 would be a tough sale, it was my first car and its currently sitting with a snapped timing belt. I have everything to fix it, but its not that fun compared to my m3 and more prone to breaking.

I'm willing to trade you a 944 Turbo straight up for your 944. Mine has zero miles on it too, still in it's original garage.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrOh, I just commented this on IG, lol.
As I said, as long as it's not "wood", you're good to go (in my book at least, I hate "wood" trim). Nevertheless, I'd go with the matte black finish, the aluminium finish on a tan interior doesn't go that well (for me, of course!).
I like how you can't even leave the daily alone, even though you've got loads of project cars![]()

I have been looking for one of those... my Target and Kroger have a terrible Hotwheels selection.

Pics?
cough cough
I have dark interior waggy, if you end up nixing the aluminum trim please let me know

I posted on IG as well (03BeastCharmer). If the car sits in the sun the aluminum gets very hot on the center console.
Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrIt matches the handle. But yeah, I'm on the same page. Way too clear for a tan interior.
Matte or satin black![]()
So a few days ago a woman on my local BMWCCA facebook page posted about "finally getting rid of the ugly alum trim in her wagon." I asked her what she did with the alum trim and she said, "its in the trash." After a few messages she agreed to box it up and ship it to me for free. I offered her money or even a donation to her favorite charity in her name but she said, "pay it forward."
It needs some cleaning, and one of the pieces needs the mounts repaired but the price was right. I'm not sure if I like it with my interior but I might put it in and experiment with wraps on my wood trim. Im thinking matte black to match the steering wheel trim or piano black. Or I may end up liking the Aluminum, it matches the shifter, door releases, and rings on the cluster. What do you think?

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrLooks great. I wish I could keep the insides of our vehicles that clean. Can you please share the wrap and heat gun you are using? I'd like to make some upgrades to the interiors of our vehicles but have never done any wrapping before. Thanks!
Looks great! I had contemplated that for a couple previous cars, but thankfully for my patience i ended up selling the car priorNothing like wood accents to date an interior.
One of my favourite garages Nick, don't see the basement section too often anymore. What do you use that space for nowadays?

Looks good!
My all time favorite trim wrap (and maybe even overall) was a wrap that someone had done on a black 2011 335xi M-Sport I test drove, it was a black anodized brushed look to cover up a wood trim in a black interior. Cool car, but I wanted a N54 RWD manual and ended getting one with diamond pattern aluminum. (Hides marks better, than the brushed aluminum, but I don't think it looks quite as good.)
