Kevin... funny you mentioned the hat on the light. I should have gotten a picture of it on Tuesday, it was standing straight up and kinda looked like Homer Simpson's wife Marge's hair. I don't like winter very much either, but your right it does look pretty awesome.

BUGTHUG... I 've had some pretty heavy snow up there before, this is concerning me too though. I'll knock whats hanging off the edge, but even with that , I don't know where I'll put it, where it wont be in the way of getting propane and in case of emergencies.

Hey Breeze,

Those pictures finally got me in the holiday spirit - takes me back to the Wisconsin days. Although, we never had 36" in one shot - WOW! Thanks for sharing.

Well I'm glad there is something positive about all this snow :lol_hitti With that said, Merry Christmas to all my fellow GJ members ! BTW we got another couple of inches last night.

Hey you guys. Don't believe Breeze's SNOW JOB. It's all FAKE!

He used MARTHA STEWART Christmas flock cuz he's tight with her and all her decorating stuff - haha.

I'm at the Western edge of that same Snow Belt and we just laugh cuz they get so much more than us. That is, until the lake freezes. Then we all get out butts kicked.

Hang in there, buddy. Only like, four more months of this stuff. April's a coming!

I have friend who was in the service stationed in North Dakota back in the 80's who all through High School wanted a Corvette. Well he needed transportation and the used dealer lot had a 'Vette for like $3,500 and a Jeep for something like $ 5,000. He wanted the 'Vette so bad, but he was in North Dakota for crying out loud. So he got the Jeep. He said it got so cold there it didn't snow hardly at all, and he could have bought the 'Vette and drove it most days. I laughed and said yeah, until you bumped into something and it shattered into pieces! He said every vehicle there needed a block heater if they wanted to start the next day. Weeks on end with below zero temps.

I hope your sucking up that sunshine! We got about 4 inches early this morning, and then it cleared up and the sun came out. It was 7 degrees F. this evening at 7:00 pm

Going to melt here today. Total Fire ban in Victoria and Queensland is flooded. Wierd weather. I'll need the Cooler (to make a cool breeze ).

HOTFR8... Today is the 2nd day in about 5 weeks that was above freezing during the day. Made it to 39F today, 45F tomorrow, and close to 50F on Saturday. Then turn crappy again Sunday.

Mark H... Thanks, I 've been so busy working on the can, I haven't posted much on here, Glad you found it, thanks for the kind words.

toranaback... Thanks for the kind words, I'll probably fire up the Fairlane this weekend and let her warm up a bit. I thought we had alot of snow, but my wife and I went to dinner tonight in Clymer NY, which is about 20 minutes away, and we couldn't believe how high the snow banks were, I kid you not, some of the banks of snow were easily 7-10 feet high. Some areas were carved out with giant snowblowers. It was like driving through snow tunnels LOL!

Hope things start to dry out down under! The USA has had some terrible flooding as well. California in some places had over 24 inches of rain in just a couple of days, I can't imagine that kind of flooding

We have 60+ degrees here in central IL for the last day of the year after last week's 6 inches of snow and low temps. Our December broke all records for snow - we had about 25 inches for the month!

Happy New Year and keep the painting projects coming.

Totally impressed with the Scripture in the lid of your tool box. It is an excellent reminder for all of us.

Thanks HSpencer, The top box was my dads before he passed away in 2004, so thats my little tribute to him along with his picture. It is a great reminder indeed!

I was looking at the red cabinet/desk this past weekend and thought to myself, It needs something. I was thinking about putting a Texaco Star on it, but then I saw a picture of the Esso oil drip man and thought he was cool. He was on a Handy oil can. So I designed it up, cut it out and stuck it on. I enjoy doing this kind of stuff.

I appologize Tony, I was just going through this and didn't see your post til just now. I like the way the cabinet turned out... much better than the garbage green color that it was when I got it. Someone painted it , it was plain grey originally. Aftet I painted it red, it needed something. I thought of decking it out in pinstriping, or maybe a Rat Fink, Then the idea of the old esso oil can boy came to mind. I was hoping it would look somewhat vintage. Glad you like it.

This winter just doesn't seem to want to end. I had to laugh when I read a thread yesterday about members already having to mow their lawns and complaining about it. I just wish I could see my grass LOL! The deer have been eating at our 20' tall rhododendron bush. These pictures were taken from our living room window just before I scared him off. The bush ( more like a tree) is a safe haven for the birds. I hope it isn't completely ruined by spring time. The funny thing, is there is a bird feeder not more than 15 feet away from this deer that is full of seeds and the deer hasn't noticed it - Yet

Breeze,

If you're sick of that snow, hop in that Ford and pay me a visit in FL. I promise I won't make you mow the lawn  but I might put you to work in the Asylum.

Actually, we've had a pretty weird winter this year too so I couldn't guarantee warm weather down here either :(.

Hang in there - spring is just around the corner.
