The Car Dollies came in.
I ordered the #1016 "Upgrade" set. They come with the roller axle bearing wheels as well as ball bearing casters.
Featuring:
1. Ball bearing swivel caster wheels.
2. Steel wheel housings.
3. Roller axle bearings.
4. Hard, non-marring wheel material.
5. 6000 lb weight capacity.
6. One brake per dolly.
7. Grease fitting on each wheel.
8. Floor to wheel elevation of 3 1/4”.
Assembly was easy and they look great.
There were only two and a half things that I thought could be better, but they are minor issues.
First, there is only one brake caster per dolly so when you put it together, remember this.
---> First & 1/2, with only 1 brake per dolly you need to pay attention to how you place the dolly under the wheel so that you can reach the brake if needed.
Second, greasing the caster is not the easiest on some. About half of the casters were very easy to grease and took about 3 pumps each. The others would only take about 1 pump and push the grease out of each end of the axle. I think that this problem will solve itself after the dollies are used a bit & "loosen" up.
I put the new Car Dollies under the same car I had the HF dollies under. I had to lean against the car pretty good to get it moving, but it is a huge improvement over the HF brand. After I moved the car around a bit, they seemed to loosen up and I had no problem at all moving the car around by myself.
Overall I would rate them an
8 out of 10.

HF dollies get a 3.
Where:
10 = You lean against it & it starts rolling.
1 = One person can't move it at all.
