I'll play. I think I have everything except the big impact. One dill has started to let the smoke out, but otherwise problem free for lots if use since '98.

Love all my dewalt stuff and will buy nothing but... Milwaukee and the rest can decompose someplace lol
Will try and get a pic tomorrow of my cordless stuff, but the dws780 is on the shed

yea i thought the same thing until a few months ago - the only new dewalt stuff i got was 5 pieces of the 12v stuff, which i honestly do belive is better than the milwaukee m12 (non fuel) which i also own.
however i couldnt get past the abnormally loud CLACK when you let go of the trigger of any Dewalt drill, and after having to replace a motor and transmission from my old Dewalt 18v drill, i was a little surprised this hasnt changed with Dewalt. it was tough to do, but when i finally picked up the Milwaukee fuel drill and compared the feel, and sound between it and the Dewalt 20v stuff, there was no denying there was a difference. i do very much like and prefer the 12v max stuff to my m12.

The clack isn't that bad with mine and really doesn't bother me because it means nothing bc the drill is as strong or stronger than competitor brands...

For me Milwaukee has the most uncomfortable grip out there and could not use it on a daily basis, terrible design...dewalt wins hands down in comfort dept... Milwaukee might have more specialized tools but for most people that need the most common contractor tools dewalt makes the best...

People seem to think Milwaukee has more specialized tools...I think dewalt wins in that department. They also tend to think Milwaukee has the largest 18v line-up, but that's Makita's claim. Also, my dcd995 hammerdrill has that clack as well. Doesn't bother me either. Still has higher rpm than Milwaukee and, also as you stated, way better grip. I must admit though, Milwaukee looks so sick and their side handle is longer and stronger. (metal). Also, their clutch selections are more and separate from operations modes.

I have the DCD 985, the older brushed model and I find the handle sturdy, I crank it down and it goes nowhere... the handle is metal except the grip is plastic

Honestly I like your model better. The light placement is best under the chuck IMO, and the clutch setup is a time saver, or at the least it isn't annoying. The only reason I went for the 995 is its brushless. For me that's a huge huge huuuge benefit...and my handle is also very sturdy and doesn't move at all, and I can't picture it ever doing so...but Milwaukee's is sturdier. In a drop, the dewalts plastic handle will surely break before Milwaukee's. But...let's not forget Milwaukee's only offers the four positions.

I don't have any pics but the current list is

Tracksaw with (2) 59" tracks, (1) 46" track, clamps, right angle guide, case, track storage bag, and hex key set for adjustments
3"x21" Belt Sander with sanding frame and case
4 1/2" Angle Grinder with Case and assortment of wheels and brushes
12" Sliding Compound Miter Saw with LED worklight
1 3/4" Router Kit with 2 bases and tracksaw edgeguide attachment
About a dozen T-Stak cases in almost every configuration they make along with the 4 wheel cart
Fence pliers
Linesman's pliers
Slip-joint pliers
Needle nose pliers
Side cutter pliers
Couple of utility knives
Numerous drill/driver bit sets and saw blades

I've never committed to buying just one brand of hand or power tools - just buy the best available for my needs that fits the budget with the occassional deal that's too good to pass up thrown in.

Small collection. Love the dewalt line. We use them at work that's why I bought them at home. Have seen first hand how tough they are, dropping hammer drills of of 6 and 8' ladders with no issues. Not pictured is my 18v circular saw and dual 18 and 12/20v dual charger.

I like that saw too.

I have been really impressed with the impact so far, very little use out of the drill so far though

The dewalt 20V drills are awesome, huge torque and they are tough... Gravity has taken mine off the 6 ft ladder a few times... Battery run time is really great too, but not much warning when they die!!

Even the hammer drill feature works better then I thought it would... I parked my corded hammer drill, don't need to drag it around anymore...

Next I looking at the Dewalt 20V framing nailer... Doing a huge reno this summer...

I havdnt had mine die on me yet. I usually push the charge indicator button periodically but it lasts all day no matter what for me so far. The impact at least.

built a shed and 3 sides of my 40x40x10 shop so far with it. (Metal roof and sides on both)

id like to try that framer out too
