I will have to agree Stephenw i use one of these in my small powdercoat bussiness to get a ruff idea on temp for the curing process i was impressed for the price.

Question where is the blasting media at in the stores? I have yet to see any
Usually there is a bench with some smaller blast cabinets on top. The blasting media is beneath this bench.
Ask.

At our harbor freight you have to ask for it they keep it in the back due to lack of display room im guessing.

I saw that at that price i might get a few more to use in other places since i have work shop, Barn and garage everyone knows your in one building the tool you need is always in another building or in the other tool box.

My store has them on a 2 shelf rack next to the 40 pound cabinet on display.

The problem I had with the HF vise grips is that soon after I used them they stop locking, and I found the curve in the jaw to never be right. It is just an uncomfortable tool for me. I soon went and bought a pair of Vise Grips made in the USA. Other items from HF have done well so far. Pittsburg long needle nose pliers and there metric impact sockets have held up so far. I use these in a part time job at a repair shop along with US General tool box.

If you can't make it out to HF or able to print the 19.99 coupon, just go to sears and pickup the one they have on sale for 23.99. I'm not sure how they compare but they're probably similar.

I'm debating if I want to get that 10 lb or 15lb soda blaster (the blue one) I'm not sure how effective it is on removing paint with clear coat on aftermarket wheels..
For the past view days I've been removing it by paint stripper but I'm having a hard time getting the paint out in the tighter areas so I can respray.

if I posted a picture you would understand.. also its not old paint.. the wheels are brand new but I don't like the color.
Stripping the larger parts no problems.. the hard part is the tight areas I can't really remove all the paint from.

In the two stores I go to, it's on the bottom shelf under the casters. If you don't see it, just ask someone. Since they all sell the cabinets, I'm sure most all stores normally carry the media too.

I purchased yesterday the chrome steel, 3 piece (1/4", 3/8", 1/2" drive) clip socket rail set (item # 01147). The set is made in Taiwan. I paid $2.49 for it.
I gave it a PASS. Each socket rail has 16 clips. The rails do not bend easily. The clips hold sockets securely even when positioning the rails upside down and shaking vigorously.

yes they do, i have that set and the ratchets area ok, the spin disk is really nice. I don't use the set any longer though.
I also give them a pass. Bought a bunch when I got my set of Cman sockets, they work well for the amount of use they get at my place. Had to buy the 3pk though to get the Taiwan brand ones the bulk ones were made in China and I have heard bad things about those. Oh well a few extra rails never hurt anything.

Multi-Use Transfer Pump #66418 - PASS
I've used it to siphon gasoline to and from gas tank to jerry cans and it works without a hitch. I put about 3 drops of 3-in-1 oil where the shaft meets the pump housing, pump it a few times to lubcricate and its worked every time I've needed it (about twice a month for the past six months). When done, i was it with regular dishwashing soap and water, then re-oil the pump. And, you can catch it on sale for $7.99...or less.

Multi-Use Transfer Pump #66418 - Piece of s&*t , I bought one of these and it never would work. Forced me to remember how bad gasoline tastes. (never used to taste that bad) any way it was a replacement for the bulb type HF sells which melted when I used it!

Low Profile Motorcycle Dolly (#95896) - Provisional Pass
Good: Good Steel, hard to tell thickness with the powder coat, but its not tin foil. Some engineering involved with the design. The end ramps fold down and lock the dolly in place so it won't roll. Price - $80 with tax after T-day 25% coupon.
Bad: Powder coat finish, itself good, but it was packed by monkeys who gouged and scratched up the finish getting it into the box. The hardware is made of swiss cheese and the hopes and dreams of small children. Broke one bolt clean through and stretched two others so now I can't tighten or loosen them.
I put my namesake bike project on it and moved it around my carport. Rolled smoothly and supported the bike w/o flexing. Supposed to take up to 1500 lbs., but I'd cut that safety factor down by a third to be safe. The hardest part is moving the whole shebang without pushing the bike of its kickstand.

I somewhat disagree; yes most all of their drill bits **** "donkey ****," but these are fantastic. I have had zero issues with them.

I will 2nd that the cheap bits (black oxide) do **** there colbalt and tin bits are good there multi step bits are good too i have a couple of set like listed when there on sale i stock up also bought a couple of set of the step drills

OK I was going to get that $10 spring compressor from HFT but I decided my life is worth more and got a better tool.. I picked up one from Autozone with the pins.
It also says on the package to make sure the threads have oil on them.. So I guess motor oil is ok?

47844 clamping work bench / workmate clone I'll give a pass to. I bought two of these for my dad, they seem very sturdy and stable. The top faces of the MDF are easy to chip but I don't think it's a big deal for the price, if I have to replace with A/C marine plywood it'll still be a cost savings over a Black & Decker Workmate. I initially wanted to buy my father a true Workmate but wasn't happy with the one I looked at in Home Depot this week and I'm glad I ordered these over theirs.
