Mig cart. I bought 2 of them for $39 each. They didn't have one on display at the store, so I knew it was a gamble. Bad idea. These thing are terrible quality. Thin sheetmetal, typical Chinese "easy-strip" fasteners and the famous HF wobbly wheels and wandering casters.

Fail X2.

I had the bearings on the front casters fall completely out...but i have my cart overloaded...I replaced them with bigger casters and this cart is pretty decent

Got this air hammer yesterday to break up some ceramic tile floors for a bathroom remodel. Performed flawlessly. Havent tested it yet on anything metal like rivets or anything, but it saved my *** yesterday. Cant beat it for 13 bucks.

Dude,

you got to get the quick disconnect HF sells...It replaces that stupid spring which is hard to get the bits off and do a quick change...HF sells the Quick changer for about $5.000 and it works great!!!

Has anyone tried the walk out and walk back in to use another coupon? I have one for the engine crane and generator but I don't want to make two trips back to the store.

x2. Got one for my dad and his olddd Snappy Air hammer and works great. He had no idea these even existed until i showed him my IR that came with one. Well once he saw it he had to have it. But i was in no way gonna spend the money to get him a Snap-On version. The HF version is great and does what its supposed to. All he'll ever need. :)

Just had to chime in, that I'm Youngstown born, Youngstown bread! lol We're still doin alright in these parts!

Reviews:

Impact Screwdriver - PASS/FAIL - Broke all phillips head bits on my Honda rotors, but those suckers were STUCK on. Not the tools fault.

6in C-Clamp with quick-release slider - PASS! Obviously I did a brake job, and this thing worked beautifully pushing the piston back into the caliper. Plus the quick-release was a big bonus.

what part number do you have for the clamp?

i need to grab the inpact screw driver. those honda screws are the hardest to get out. i had to put my odyssey kunckles in press and press the rotor off. the rotor snapped before the screw broke.

i did buy the pnumetic brake bleeder, but i have not got a chance to use it yet.....

I do it all the time. Especially when my 6 year old doesn't want to go tool shopping.

Two general coupons

Use them both at the same time. You just can't use more than one 20% off coupon per transaction.

As always with HF, YMMV.

Correct. I have never had a problem with using multiple general coupons as long as you are not trying to buy more than the max per item allowed (for example, 16 of the same hammers with two 8 per coupon limitations).

The 20% off coupon is only one coupon per customer per visit... so that you would have to bring someone with or make multiple trips.

So yesterday I picked up the following..

2 stroke generator
1 ton shop crane
1/2" 14mm 12 point socket
metal ruler
Automatic float charger

Since they seem to always be out of the free flashlights I got the free screwdriver set instead since you can never have too many!

So far the float charger works fine.. I will check the generator a little later on.

Not sure the part No. on the C-Clamp..sorry

The impact screwdriver works great most of the time! I bought a 2000 CX hatchback as a daily, 3 years ago. Just now had to replace the brakes. Those screws were absolutely rusted on FUBAR! My buddy's dad is a mechanic, and luckily he had a Blue Point impact screwdriver. It worked, but we had to hit the driver with the hammer for every turn of the screw until it came out.

I purchased the benchtop blast cabinet on the 4th of July, using a 25% off the sale price and got it for $89. It works really well so far for the type of use I am giving it. So I rate it a PASS!

7 Drawer End Cabinet for Roller Tool Chest... PASS

90321.gif

For the price it can't be beaten. The Power coat finish is excellent, the steel is thicker than any Craftsman/Waterloo side cabinet I've felt and the price is great. Heck even the shipping is fantastic ($11.99 others want 3 or more times that.)

If there is one thing HarborFreight did right, it was definitely their tool chest.

I just tried to order that 7 drawer side cart and the shipping went up to over $40, they claimed it was overweight (128 lbs)
Is it that heavy.

Try and see if you can order it and have it shipped to your HF store with there shipment they get weekly maybe you can save the freight that way I think they still do it that way.

Bought a Pittsburgh Pro 1/4 drive ratchet set today. Came with a bunch of Metric and SAE sockets. Used it in conjunction with a twelve point screw to do my CV Axles, probably the messiest thing I've ever had to do in my life.
For me, I say they are PASS, but something quirky kept happening: the ratchet kept locking up. I don't know if it was because I had some Moly grease pushed in (I was covered in the stuff) or what, but quickly rattling the thing got it going again. Kind of strange, I'll see how it works in the future, but I don't have much need for sockets that small on a regular basis.
By the way, if anyone knows a good way to get grease off of a rubber or silicon handle with out destroying it much, I'm all ears!

Who all has the 2.5 HP 21 gal. compressors?

It's a PASS for me

I've had the new black one for 4 months now, still works great! I probably fill up the tank 2-3 times per week (on average).

I probably should do a whole new list of everything I've purchased and how it's performed. Just would take a LONG time. One of my most recent FAILS is the tire iron I purchased. It looks poorly made, and doesn't seem very useful trying to take tires on and off.

I've also been enjoying my "new version" 1.5 ton compact alum. floor jack for the past few months also. Paid $60 out the door, jacked up plenty 1/2 ton trucks with no problems. Just wish it lifted higher, but that is why it's called "compact". It seems built REALLY well and is a PASS in my mind.

I'd like to know what you think of the generator.... would be just a cheap generator to have just in-case for various things.

I like it so far and I used my coupon so it was $89 I've only used it for about 3 hours now (going to be using an hour meter) but it was easy to mix.. I did change the spark plug out.. I can't figure out how to get the picture off my other phone but the Chinese spark plug looked like it was worn down vs my new NGK plug and the inalator was like a dark greyish color.. not something I would want to use..

I gaped the NGK plug to .027 It's been great.. the first thing i tried it with was a heater which only had two settings and from looking on the internet the two settings are 1000W and 1500W.. It did 1000W plus a vornado fan but you had to start the fan first and then the heater.. I was getting around 107 V.

What I did get this for was I have to run some audio in a park for at least 7 hours on the 31th of this month.. the genny is a tad undersized for the need Since I'm going to be running a 1500W power amp Plus a CD deck & mixer.. the max amp draw for the amp is 8 A..

However i did a test the other day with all the stuff I would be taking and it powered it fine and I think my voltage on the power conditioner was around 113V.

I'm glad I finally picked one up, I did a 50:1 mix it does not smoke at all when running only a little when it cools and you need to restart it but it's only for a few seconds like 10 sec at best.

here is one video of me drawing power what I will be taking to the park that day.. that's a lot for not hitting the 25 hour mark yet.

and this other one I was just testing.. it's not that loud.. it's about as loud as a 4 stroke generator.

That must be magic watts on the power amp, with max 8 amps at 120vac thats 960 watts going in, so more like no more than 800 watts max going out in real watts. Plus with typical music average power is only about 10% of peak power, course some peaks are longer than others. ;)

Make sure you let it cool down before refilling with fuel.
