I will not own a blow gun that isn't made of metal. But then I use 175 psi of air pressure. Don't think I'm a HF snob, because I own several HF blow guns!
Back in school one of our safety rules in the shop was blow guns all had locked-out regulators on them so they blew 30 psi. I know you can get the safety blow ends now but they weren't as common before.I honestly didn't even consider a blow gun to have a limit.
I'm sending you a PM with the email address for a person who's helped me out at HF everytime I've contacted them.

Welcome to GJ...
What was it about the flux core wire you didn't like?
It is the cheapest flux core wire I have been able to locate, especially with a 25% off coupon. I have run at least three 10lb. rolls total without problems in a Hobart Handler 190 welder. The only complaint I have is that the slag is hard to chip off, but not unreasonable.

There was one of those safety videos we had to watch, according to it as little as 60 psi is enough to break skin. Something that always stuck with me if i'm blowing off dirt & dust I will turn it down every time.
Anyone own the 90 amp flux wire welder from HF? If so do you think it's a decent welder for the average do it yourselfer? I see it's on sale for 79.99 March 7-9 and I was thinking about picking one up.

Bought a "Badland Winch", 9000lb capacity. After getting the main winch assembly installed..found out two cables were swapped. Swapped them and found the trigger wire was on the wrong power source. Swapped that. Then found the switch operated backwards. Swapped that and it worked. Two days of figuring this thing out. It works now but have not yet tested it's abilities. So far it's a fail in getting out this far with so many things wrong.
Snap On website said not to use non-vented blow gun above 30 psi.
How about sending that email my way? All stores are about 1 hour each way from me. Bought a textured paint 7 drawer end cabinet. Opened it up and its got a huge scratch, plus the drawers don't even match my box, upper chest and end cabinet i bought a couple years ago. This thing must be really old??
When did you buy it? The stores haven't had the textured finish in probably 2 years. I doubt anyone at HF would do anything about it.
This torque adapter has good reviews so i bought one... http://www.harborfreight.com/digital-torue-adapter-68283.html
I was interested in seeing if my 15+ year old craftsman torque wrench could do for a calibration...and the harbor freight 1/4" and 3/8" i bought. Well, it worked out of the box but after a few attempts at higher readings(anything over 40 ft.lb.) it kept shutting off and eventually wouldn't power up. I returned it today for another...same damn thing!

HF Multi function tool finally quit but a resounding PASS!
I bought the base HF multi function cut off tool when they first came out with it. I have been using it nearly every day for years. The first time it quit was because of a bad crimp on one of the wires. Easy fix. The 2nd time it quit, ( a few years later) the braid to one of the brushes fell off. I knew that the tool came with spare brushes, but I couldn't find mine so I jury rigged it to supply current to the brush through the spring that tensions it. A couple of days ago I went to turn it on and nothing! I kinda got a smile on my face because I had a 25% coupon for HF and I have been wanting the variable speed version of that tool ever since they introduced it. I bought the new unit but I'm still going to take the old one apart and see If I can get one more rodeo out of it.
We all know about the general reputation of HF stuff but this tool has been a real workhorse and well worth the 20 to 30 bucks I paid for it years ago!

Ok, Time for an update. I have been using the HF variable speed multifunction tool for a few months now and this thing kicks ***! So much quieter than the original fixed speed unit, but that may be partially due to the fact that I haven't had the need to run the thing full tilt. I have found that blades (even the HF crapola blades) last much longer at lower speeds. I think a lot of blade failure can be attributed to excessive heat. So, I'm getting quieter operation, and longer blade life. I'm a happy camper.
Here's a new item that showed up in the march flyer today. I wonder how useful it really is ?

That's the big downfall of the fixed speed one. It goes at 21k and the variable speed one tops out at 20k, both of these numbers on paper of course. But yeah, for the difference in price the variable is a no brainer. So much quieter than the original fixed speed unit, but that may be partially due to the fact that I haven't had the need to run the thing full tilt. Well as an update, HF replaced my 20T bottle jack for my press. It's working great so far.
