I don't have one, gotten away pretty well all along with out one,
But you know how it is. It Is Tempting!

I'm a MINI shop foreman and the small size does come in handy when working on the engine bays. Although I'm using my Milwaukee cordless more and more.

For the price, it seems like a great product. I've been getting away from the tool truck stuff over the last few years. I just couldn't justify the cost. I have been extremely impressed by some of the HF stuff I've bought and use on a daily basis.

I'm sure this has received a pass already...but here's another thumbs up for the 3/8 composite Pittsburgh pro ratchet.

Nice handle, nice arc, smooth action and a pleasure to use in the cold weather.

Picked this up, pretty much on impulse, today.

Even though it's only 65 lumens, it's pretty bright working close and it will illuminate 145 feet away, just not sharply. Solid built, nice switch

$5 with a coupon (but only if you remember to use the coupon):lol_hitti

A quick note on this stubby.

AvE has a review on YouTube in which he's surprised by the construction of this gun.

From then on he found out, not exactly sure how, that the manufacturer for the gun is Mighty7, which apparently makes the guns for Hazet and others.

He made a video bashing Hazet for the fact that they are charging $399 for the same gun that HF charges $79. Even the torque/CFM test paperwork/results were the exact same picture. He then went onto Mighty7's site and the catalog link for the stubby gun was deleted but by going into the "way back" machine he was able to find the link and show the side by side comparisons - it was exactly the same gun just different colors and brand-name.

Others in the comment section started to look through the online catalog and started matching the offerings to well known and expensive brands.

This was about 2-3 weeks ago. Now if you look on his channel, you won't be able to find the video anymore. I'm thinking he may have received a "cease and desist" letter.

Sounds like they copied the Eastwood Co. business plan (only jacking up prices even more)..lol.

I'll second this. I've had mine for over 3 years and use it daily. Great ratchet for the $10 I paid for it.

Do I need to call somewhere CS to have an address change done?
Of course I am not getting my monthly sale flyer.
I've never gotten mine on time and sometimes even after the sales are gone. Being a member of their club was a waste for me as well.

There are a few websites that post the coupons. Just screen shot them and the cashier at HF will scan it from your phone. I used to get the 4 inch magnetic parts tray as my freebie but then saw there is a coupon for the 6 inch magnetic parts tray as a freebie and have been using that. Even the cashier was surprised it was a freebie.

 I've tried that but my phone sceen won't allow for scanning. So it's a big hassle for the females that run the two HFs close to me.

I'll try that but I should have mentioned that I was referring to their mail circulars.

HF 7 Function Volt Meter #63604. Fail

I have two 7 function meters part #98025 that are OK for checking a car battery but the #63604 is made even cheaper. The #63604 will not take longer banana jacks that come on better test leads. The #63604 does not have Cen-Tech on the package or in the meter.

Never been a big fan, of ****-splice crimp-on connectors, but I am of these - big-time.

They are clear, so you can ensure the wire is inserted properly. Hit it with the heat gun and wa-laa! They are not color-coded by wires size, per se, but they to have a color tint, correspondingly

PASS!

I have used these extensively and they have worked great for me on my trailer. The Small butane torch works great as well.

So my wife bought a counter top, in an auction for a great price, for our shared bathroom.
Only to find out that it is 5/8" to wide. So I had to cut it 5/16" on both ends to make it fit.

At Lowes the ONLY saw blade that had for my circular saw was about $55:wtf:
At Harbor Freight, $22:bounce: I thought it was worth a try.

Here is the blade, 7 in. Turbo Wet / Dry Masonry Diamond Blade

I also used the HF Straight line guide for the saw, which was AWESOME ALSO!!

Nice, thanks for posting
I probably would have tried cutting a slot in the drywall with a oscillating saw if possible, and slid the counter top in from the front, rather than cutting the stone.
Not be possible if the c-top has a molded in place sink though.
just me though,
:)

I probably would have tried cutting back the drywall with a oscillating saw if possible, rather than cutting the stone.

I thought about that, but I would have to take the door molding off on each side of it, and then repair the area that I made a slot in the drywall. So this worked out well. That blade still has plenty of life left in it.

Red,

So you thing the longevity of these connectors is good?

I've been a little leery of the electrical consumables even though I suspect they are made in the same plants as the more "name brand" stuff.

The metal components look good enough but I'm wondering about the plastic parts and shrink wrap etc.

Thanks

I picked up one of the new Merlin dual chuck inflator today, item#63570.

I am really impressed with this one. I had the old Central Pneumatic inflator with the dial indicator and it was very leaky. I warrantied it, got another, still junk after 6 months of casual use (1-2 times a month). The old Central Pneumatic one had difficulty inflating the inner tires on my dually dump truck, but the new Merlin model is much longer and better suited for this task.

Kind of expensive at $37, my local store has the demo model tethered to the wall with stainless steel cable. But for $37, it was worth it. This Merlin looks identical to the Milton industries model my local supply store has for $45.

Pass- 48inch floor scraper, heavy and solid. Used it to rip up old linoleum tile in a rental to replace with click lock flooring and it made short work in the kitchen. Wish it was another foot or so longer since I'm 6'4 but for the price I won't complain. Blade still looks new as well

I was considering this light but instead bought a similar 2 tube light at Cosco.
They are priced about the same but what sold me on the Cosco light is the plug in the opposite end from the cord that allows the lights to be Daisy Chained so many lights run off of one receptacle.

Was at Walmart and noticed they had 2 bulb 5000 lumin off brand for $22.

HF has had coupons twice now for their new 4 ft shop light selling at $19.99. I bought one and while I don't yet have it hung and running for some time, the initial brightness is great and for a HF item this thing is built pretty sturdy. My initial reaction was this light will never be this good again. It's almost built too well and I expect they will find ways to make it cheaper in the future.
Gonna get some more with coupons when available.

I’ve been going back and forth on the 26” base chest to replace a very old and beat up HF base from days gone by (before they started making nice chests). Current one has a pair of drawers and a large cabinet space, I feel like drawers would be nicer. I’m sure quality is fine, but does anyone have complaints about the drawer sizes of that 9 drawer base? I feel like the first few might be a bit too shallow considering I have 6 drawers above to use. Thoughts appreciated from current users.

It depends on what tools you need to store in it.

Mine is set up as follows, top to bottom:

1) screwdrivers, picks, brushes
2) pliers, cutters
3) ratchets, extensions, swivels, adapters
4) sockets
5) wrenches, hex keys
6) hammers, tap & die set, pullers
7) impact wrenches, grinders
8) TBD
