I'm wanting to believe this product will help me in some way, but I can't think of any way where it would provide any improvement. It's not for torque and if there is an obstruction, then a swivel works to get it out of the way.

Am I missing something important?

Thanks for the question!

Just as a swivel socket works for tight spots, this extension can work in tight spots without binding. It allows the relocation of torque application along the linear plane that the fastener sits.

While we have found many times we needed to use one tool or another for a tight spot, our tool is really aimed at just giving the user options. Sometimes a different tool would be the proper choice, as there is no "golden" socket or wrench that always works on the first try, neither was this ever our intent.

Hopefully our tool will help others in preventing another swearing match between at least one person and that nearly impossible to reach fastener :)

We are trying to work with the company that treats us well and so far we are impressed. We will keep everyone up to date as we progress.

We are into the 2nd week of manufacturing wait, however we should be on the line by the end of the month and hopefully product within the first week or two of November in time for the holidays.

Thanks again, and please continue to let us know if you would like to be on the confirmed list. We will have an announcement concerning those on the list very soon.

Thought about this, but knurling is only for grip. The hex grips better than any knurling.

I tried the tool with an oil and ****** change. Knurling works, but the hex holds your grip better.

Something to keep in mind though.

Great suggestion. Please feel free to post your comments.

I would buy one. I'm not a professional but the knurling would come in handy to get a fastener "finger tight" before tightening.

Just tell me when and how to order... I want one of each.

Hi BirdMobile. If you haven't already done so, just send a PM to Shaun_Logica to get on the early order list. We'll be sending out notification and special pricing to those that sign up before we have our product.

not a tool I would use but once or twice a year, but when you need it, it could save your ***. - don't price it like a tool truck, you don't have the name yet to pull that one off!

The way to make me pay a premium price and use it as my go-to extension is to make a locking version, and not the crappy cheap locking mechanism, but use the Armstrong (Matco) as a reference, they are the cream of locking extensions.

If you can keep it as low profile as a normal Armstrong locking extension, I could justify a higher price as my everyday extension.

Hey Guys,

Good news. We are very sorry for the delays that have been plaguing us these past few months. In order to secure a US manufacturer it took us additional time and resouces.

We are happy to announce that we should be receiving stock sometime next week (permitting we don't run into excessive holiday shipping delays). We will make a formal announcement once we receive our first batch in. We are allocating first dibs to everyone here on the forum.

We have received considerable interest in our product but please do not hesitate to PM me to get on our list. Ensure to include your e-mail as well.

I promise to get you our latest pics which include our final machining and plating progress. We are currently having the plungers installed and laser engraving processes completed.

Thank you for your continued patience and support!

Since I'm the "hater" I'll give my opinion. The pictures did provide good shots. However, many of us were looking at them saying this is how I would overcome the obstacle presented. Our options probably did not involve the hextension because a wobble, universal joint, stubby, or long handle ratchet probably would have accomplished the same thing. Now, with that said, would I pick up one of these for less than $5? Yes, to support you guys. Is that in any way a $30 tool? No.

Pretty sure these guys will manage without your $5 of "support".. that was awfully nice of you to offer though..

Thank you kctyphoon for your input. Mcfarland is entitled to his opinion, however not everyone understands the immense cost that goes into tooling development. Remember the final product presented represents hundreds of unpaid hours spent in conception, CAD drawing, and final prototyping (often multiple times).

This is accomplished much faster with the likes of Craftsman, Snap-on, ect. that have established tooling methods and engineers on hand.

What we are soon presenting is the culmination of work from over a year of development and personal finances. This was done to bring conception into reality, a feat all in it's own.

Andrew and I are committed to bringing the tools out because we respect every wrench turner out there. Especially the guys who "don't have the right tool for the job." We have all been there yelling at a bolt or needing an extra hand. Our extension does not do the job of all the tools in the toolbox, it just lets you have more options with what you have.

We love tools and we love cars, that is our primary drive.

You have solved a non-existant problem. You have failed to even explain what benefits this adds? I know why a screwdriver has a hex on the shaft, but I have the ratchet ALREADY on the extension for leverage to turn.

I can see this being great in rare situations, one of those tools that gets you out of a jam once a year, definitely a buy for someone with a fairly complete tool collection.

I would say if you already own locking extensions, then get this, if you don't own locking extensions, those are far more needed than this tool, so put your money towards that first.

This is my point. I think some are going to say sure I'll take one. Others are going to find the tools they have work perfectly fine for them. I'm not knocking the product, just saying that the time and effort to make it isn't going to pay off. I'm a business person, so that is my view.

Pretty sure these guys will manage without your $5 of "support".. that was awfully nice of you to offer though..

If you want to get one, go ahead! Free country. I'm saying there are other options that already have solved the problems this tool is trying to do. Is the idea there? Yes. The fact is the took a hex shaft for torque, when in reality, a longer ratchet solves the same torque multiplication issue. The only time this would help would be a very weird area with no space. In all reality, I would never need it because my tools already solve this problem for me.

Thanks for your comment as well. Really helped everyone.

I am not following this...seems like there are some typos...

Plenty of tools out there that are very specialized...and not absolutely necessary to get the job done...heck I worked on more cars than I could count with a basic craftsman tool set when I was 16 to 18 years old. Just because the job got done does not mean I do not enjoy the better and more efficient tools I have today.

Ive wanted the set for a long time. I was on the list..hope I still am.

Bottom line is these are tools that will work in rare situations sometimes when its MUCH easier to work smarter than harder. Yea they wont be something you grab every single time probably, but when you run into a situation and need something like this you will be glad you have those tools. Its like ratcheting wrenches, does everyone really need them-not really, but having them when you need one makes all the difference. Those who dont want these, then dont buy them.
