I finally closed yesterday on my new house, so after months of lurking here I have a garage of my own. No more building in the parking lot!:willy_nil
once I take care of some odds and ends in the house the garage/ man cave build will begin!

It looks like a great "blank canvas"! What are your plans, epoxy floor, cabinets, paint on walls?

First off is cabinets and benches. A perk of working for a govt GC. Plenty of barley used steel lab cabinets need to be "disposed" of.

All the walls are painted so it's just going to get a wide mid stripe.

As far as the floors I'm a bit undecided.

Yeah I know I'm just deciding if I'm going to build new doors and paint the wall cabinets or wait for some glass slider wall cabinets to free up on a job site.

How do you like your new fenders on the Jk, I like the stance of your jeep.

Epoxy on the floor will make it easier to clean, there are some fantastic options out there, just look up floor coverings in this forum..

Nick.

I love the armor/fenders. It has helped getting through some tight trails being able to rub trees and not damage anything. as for the floor I will probably go epoxy but I'm looking into VCT as well seeing i have a lot of good contacts with my line of work.

Small update. In between all the house work and busy work schedule I managed to bring home a solid core black counter top so I ditched the old grey and extended the bench to 10'. I have a couple more steel floor cabinets on the way and another 5' of top coming soon. I also acquired new wall cabinets off another demo project. I got the fist section up and I have enough to finish out the section between the windows.
Like I said nothing crazy but at least I got to spend some time in the new cave.

Are you going to have room for a hardtop lift or will you put that on a trolley.

Slowly getting there.

I sold my hard top years ago, I run a trek top NX in the winter and typicality nothing in the summer.. I have a work truck so if its raining the jeep stays in the garage.

I completely agree. trust me the bike I just sold has black spokes w/machined lips is still setting in the garage cause my buddy hasn't picked it up yet and it's taking some will power to not swap them.

Looking good so far! I love the bike, hopefully we'll get to see more on that in the future.

I'm curious as to the dimensions of your garage. The wife and I just moved and we are trying to figure out how to make a big Pontiac, little Beetle a motorcycle and tools/work area all fit in our somewhat restrictive 18x21 garage. Sadly the washer and dryer are eating up very practical space of which my bike (and hopefully her future bike) would otherwise be able to reside.

Kudos JKcrawler - LOVE the toys. I see you are OCD like me - everything must be straight and fit nicely in it's home. :) Garage is coming along nicely... keep it up.

Hey at what height did you hang your upper cabinets?

Looking good. I wish I could be abit more organised.

A buddy of mine would love your beer fridge. I've sent him a link to your pic.

Love the cafe racer. Been a long time fan of this style of bike and home built bikes in general. I built one myself a few years back.

Aussie Mike: I love the bike. Very clean! mine has a way to go in that aspect the guy I got mine from got it started in the right direction it just needs some loving in the fit and finish.

Diggler: I meant to measure them last night but I ended up tinkering on the bike then taking a ride and jumping directly into the pool, the wall cabinets to have a 4" light cove, do you want the measurement from that of the cabinet itself?

Bike Progress: lowered the headlamp and gauges. For now I drilled the rivets and flipped the factory headlamp and gauge brackets. I will probably end up going a bit lower later. installed new bars. Although they look better than what I had I'm not loving the clubmans, the center section of the ones I have prevent me from rolling them up to the angle I want them at so I'm going to switch out to clip-ons or drag bars in a week or so.

Does he need a gutted VR intake? I know a guy who has a sweet polished one built for a turbo vr just setting on the wall cause hes too lazy to sell it.;)
