Aye that's the one - The design reminds me of the tip of a the cross head attachment on some of larger swiss army knives - the soldat messen. I really like the Wera's anti-cam laser etch they do - it appears to make a difference.

Bought this 3/8" drive aluminium handled ratchet at my local car boot sale on Sunday. It weighs 143gms (5OZ).

It looks like it has been wrongly reassembled in the past with the selector lever on the wrong side.

Got these this morning at my local car boot sale. the three smallest were still covered in Cosmoline.

I passed on a lot of other King Dicks including a couple of very big DOEs.

These two SOEs have the same size opening. One is marked 3/16 W (Whitworth) and the other 7/16 AF. I don't know why they did not dual mark them. In theory, the two openings should be 0.445" for the Whitworth and 0.437" for the AF, so 8thou. difference.

I received a surprise package from humber2 in New Zealand. The early Barcalo DOE wasn’t too surprising but the King **** with the engraving was kind of a shock. IMG_0972.jpeg
If I was better with an electric pencil it looks like I would have done it myself.IMG_0974.jpegIMG_0973.jpeg
He told me that he found it last year at a sale in Christchurch. Much appreciated, Peter!

I picked up the 1/2" drive aluminum alloy ratchet this morning at a car boot sale for £1. It's in much better condition than some I have seen.

I now have 9/32", 3/8" and 1/2" examples. I have two of the 9/32" drive ratchets and have passed on a few others but I haven't managed to find a 1/4" drive example yet.

The 3/8" ratchet looks like a PO took it apart and rebuilt it with the anvil the wrong way around.

Found a King **** 3/4" drive ally ratchet a few years ago. Seized up and one screw missing, bit of WD and a similar screw and all good.

I have a set of King **** Whitworth combination spanners, very nice, bought new a few years ago. Bought from a webshop on the internet just before brexit kicked in. That company, Abingdon tools something, seems gone. I'd like to buy more, but now I can't find any good retailer stocking the more obscure stuff like Whitworth spanners. Ideally in EU, but I can live with the customs hazzle that comes with buying from UK, Any ideas?

As "kyrbz" has stated in post #60 above- British Tools and Fasteners in NY, here's their British website you might have been thinking of which mentions Abingdon King **** :-
https://britishfasteners.com/tools/abingdon-king-****-tools.html

I know this is an older post, but this link might help someone outside of the U.S., especially if they want a 'free' T-shirt...

Also have four Whitworth double box end wrenches that are made in Canada. The only brand name I see is BSW. If the don’t belong here then let me know and I’ll post to where you suggest.
