There are a number of threads on this website started by members asking "Who made this Klein ratchet?" or "Who made these Klein sockets?"
If any of you out there OWN any Klein CHROME sockets or ratchets, would you mind posting a photo or two showing the markings on the tools?
There is something of a "theory" that they were outsourcing from XXXXX but thus far there really hasn't been any sort of definitive evidence provided that might lead to at least a reasonable guess as to who was actually the OEM manufacturer.
NOT interested or concerned with later-production laser-engraved impact sockets - only interested in chrome.
My dad has a couple.no... nobody ever came forth with any information.
The reason for my question was:
I had purchased some trays of Klein sockets - three sets, all the same.
The buyer of the first set sent me a P/M asking "How do you know these are KLEIN sockets? They don't say KLEIN on them anywhere."
I've yet to see any Klein sockets on which Klein had their own name on them. Maybe I just don't get out enough.
Maybe they don't exist.
My hope in asking the question was to see what other Klein chrome sockets might look like.
How long have thread holding pliers been around ? ( I have a box of crescent NOS tenite grips aggressive knurl ) are they a Klein design? A good construction tool for cuphead bolts .
They are designed for the bolts on utility poles. Not sure how long they’ve been around. How long have thread holding pliers been around ? ( I have a box of crescent NOS tenite grips aggressive knurl ) are they a Klein design? A good construction tool for cuphead bolts .
The reason why I asked I could have used them many times in day to day work . I see their value and worth , threaded rod and unistrut , cable ladder, service line work. Being in my part of the world they are not readily available an import tool .They are designed for the bolts on utility poles. Not sure how long they’ve been around.
Just found this as an addendum to the 1963 catalogue . 1963 is the date of start of manufactureThe reason why I asked I could have used them many times in day to day work . Willf, if your furd is a crew cab, these things fit like a glove back there. The passenger side of mine has the base unit and deep box on top with the handle between those and the back seat.I’m finally embracing the modbox stuff. I need to get my truck organized and hope this will help. Lowe’s has them on sale at the moment for $40 off all the drawer units. I have another on order showing up this week.
Trying to do electrical work out of a short bed truck ***** big time. They are nice to ride in as they are quiet but I cant seem to carry squat compared to what I used to have in a van.

Unfortunately I have an extended cab, not a crew cab.Willf, if your furd is a crew cab, these things fit like a glove back there. The passenger side of mine has the base unit and deep box on top with the handle between those and the back seat.
Middle facing forwards is a two drawer with a medium and two thin ones on top. My ice chest sits in front of the drawers
The drivers side has four of the medium units with my bag between those and the front seat.
The best part is all of it is level with the bottom of the windows so it doesn’t crab any attention.
The only thing I lack at this point between electrical and metal fab is a welder. There’s a lot of **** in there.

No kidding. I can’t stand this short bed. All I wanted or needed for a company truck was a long bed reg cab with the V8. Now corporate is buying mavericks and the little trans vans for work trucks. They’re flipping clueless about the fact a truck is a tool.Unfortunately I have an extended cab, not a crew cab.
I have a 70% bed slide in it and think I could manage it better if I had a 100% bed slide. Being a short bed and having a major issue access the last 3’ of the bed over the tailgate ***** due to the cap.
