I just bought this set. Klein #32378. The tips are combination robertson #1 & #2 and slotted. Guaranteed once you try them on electrical stuff (receptacles, breakers, etc) you'll fall in love. The screws have to be where the square is at a 45 degree angle to the slot (I've come across a few that were not). Made in USA. I couldn't find them at any local brick and mortar so ordered online. Home Depot has them, free shipping, used Discover cash back for a 10% off e-certificate... ended up being $20.

Those are cool and a bit of a unique Klein product as far as I can tell. The Vessel, Knipex, Wiha, etc. Ones are flat/phillips combo instead of flat/robertson.

I think the Klein might be more limited in application depending upon the fastener, but I bet they fit really nicely on the right screws.

I really need that stupid tri-point bit and I don't want yo buy into Kleins proprietary 3.5mm non-standard sizes. I'm so tempted though. If Wiha made the tripoint I'd be all set, but I can't seem to find it.

What was Klein thinking with going to 3.5 mm bits when everyone else decided on 4 mm? I like a lot of their new Knect stuff but I won't be buying those 3.5 bit sets.

I just wrapped up my project (cleaning out a nutribullet), apparently a torx bit works in place of the triangle but due to geometry :).

For you Klein fanboys and or anyone directly in the sparky trade I thought you might find this interesting or maybe make that a real WTF!.

Last year I hooked up all my guys and myself with the latest and greatest ModBox ****. One thing about these I've grown to dislike is having to unstack the stack to get to a tool. Mind you I rarely put tools on but still when I do and I wasn't a fan.

Several months I saw they were coming out with boxes that had drawers and I wanted both a base box and two mid size boxes. So occasionally I'd surf Klein's site and never saw a part number for the bottom box. Well today I saw one for sale at Lowes so I reached out to my wholesale house to get a price.

My question:

What’s my price on these please – no rush.
Klein - Model #54801MB

This was their response:

Hello Cam,
I was just told by my Klein Tool Rep that Klein 54801MB is not available for wholesale partners. Currently only available in retail channel.

This was my response:
GTFOH!, I’ve seen the pictures of this new base box floating around for a while and could never find a part number on Kleins site. Today I saw an add at Lowes plus they showed stock.

Now Klein is going to focus on a retail market for a product that is truly trade based!?. You can tell your rep I said they have their head up their azz.

My inside sales guys response was he agreed.

I'm floored I tell ya :headscrat

On a similar note, it looks like Klein and Lowes are conducting a marketing experiment. Otherwise yeah, I have no ******* idea what they're doing.

I keep finding Klein products not on the Klein website but on/at Lowes, or sold in-store but not online, or sold online but not in store, or some variaton there of.

Anyone try these out yet and have an opinion?

I'm looking mostly at industrial use so I don't need a million teeth.

Those sure look like the wera jokers. If they are they don’t get good reviews. You’ve probably noticed but I’m a Klein fan boy but I’ve never seen any value in their wrench or sockets kits to warrant the price. Personally I’d suggest pricing proto or Blackhawk and comparing.

I'll have to see if I can feel them in the store. A little concerned that I believe they're being made in South Korea. As I think I posted here or elsewhere the South Korean adjustable wrenches are total trash.

I just pulled up some pictures for both to compare. It’s kinda close but I’ll take back my comment. However I’d really suggest you look elsewhere as a complete set of these is under $100. There’s no way that’s a quality product out of them for that kind of money.

Thanks. Generally I'm not a fan of non-serviceable wrenches. Might just bite the bullet on the Gedore which can be opened up.

Probably the only Klein tool I have. I chose it over the Milwaukee because of the bits. I carry it every day and it's been a good tool so far.

Both it and the Milwaukee have some nice features, but I like the Kershaw 1920 Select Fire because of the real knife blade and ability to hold multiple bits.
