To cut things...
They make other models with wider handles and shorter blades, among other things. This is just the model I like.
To be more specific, it gets used to cut off electrical tape, strip insulation off self supporting inner duct.. basically anything the requires a knife that you don't have to baby. It would be nice if one of these companies would make a blade out of better steel like D2 or something. But it sharpens easy enough with a Klein or GMP hand held sharpener. Wish I could say the back of the blade doesn't get hit with a hammer on occasion, but that would be a lie.
Thanks KC.
I have a couple Klein sheath knifes, and the GMP one with the thicker handle. Used to use a hook blade too, but I haven't seen that model you have. Looks interesting.
Love me a good knife.
I work around the water these days.....I like the Spydercos.
I used to hit the back of my Klein knife too.
Never had to worry, good knifes. Doesn't hold an edge that well, but bulletproof.
Cool thread!
