SK made that one!
SK also made the bit sockets and ratchets awhile back. I believe Stanley / Taiwan is the current source .

Picked these up for a couple of bucks at a former Indiana Bell lineman's estate sale.. Not sure the wire cutters are Klein.. the logo is marred since that part of the plier must have been used for a hammer quite frequently..... Neat cutters.. tiny hole at top for stripping.. guessing a 25 gage wire.. bottom was a bit larger.

I have been searching for this specific pair of pliers for a while (3+ years on and off), but they seem to be in the $50-55 price range and I wanted a better deal than that. Guess my time was finally up.

Got lucky on eBay for $35 new in package. Just bought them, these are ebay pics.

The bad boy of the Klein pliers lineup.
D2000-9ST heavy duty rebar/ironworker's pliers

I love that model. A true brute. I have a couple pairs of those too. I use regular linemans for electrical/maintenance work but I like the 2000 series ironworkers for mechanic work cutting, pulling and twisting all the **** that really stresses dykes and slipjoint pliers. I take the spring out of them though, I couldn't ever get used to it.

I’ve been in the cable telecommunications field since 1981 and we have always used Klein tools. I have a few of my own I’ve collected.

The Klein tools I've kept in the toolbox so far. The crimpers are probably my favorite out of the bunch.

...

At the risk of sounding stupid, what crimpers? All I see are pliers/cutters of one sort or another and a bottle opener.

The red gripped pliers are crimpers, 1005's. They are quite nice.

Not stupid at all. It was hard to see in that picture. Here's a better picture where you can see the model number and crimping section.

I like this style of crimpers, because they're simple, easy to use, and most of all the long handle and proximity of the crimping section to the joint gives a lot of leverage that makes string crimps require little effort.

Channellock also makes the same style for a little cheaper, model 909.

Yes, from left to right, they are D203-7, D301-6C, and D2291. The D201-6C has a spring that I usually keep out, because they don't fit well in the drawer with it in. The D2291 has a cross hatched grip pattern while the other two have lines.

I also forgot to pay these other 2 pliers and pair of cutters I keep in the precision tools box. From left to right, these are D335-51/2C, D321-41/2C, and 24005.

I’ve made my living with Klein Tools, been an electrician for 24 years now. I will try to remember to snap a pic of my tool bag when I get home.

I wear this hat every day.

I’m sitting in class right now, while my students are taking a test. First year electrical apprentices. They are just getting started in the trade, and accumulating their own Klein tools.

I love that orange Klein cap. It's almost Texas Longhorn Burnt Orange! Are they still available anywhere?

Not sure if they’re still available. I bought this one on Ebay.

It started out real orange, but I wear it every day, and it has faded to the color you see.

Went to my son's tonight to work on my chain saw and his snow blower... and walked away with his latest pawn shop find ($1) … Journeymen... rode hard and put away wet... but in really great mechanical shape... going through a PB Blaster bath right now.. loosened up nicely.. cutters not damaged at all... He says there re Kleins in decent shape there all the time.. I told him.. time to get going online with them... :)

Went to use my 85191 Conduit-Fitting and Reaming Screwdriver I've had my tool box since new about 1-2 years ago and found that it had a crack in the handle where the steel screwdriver was pushed in at the factory. I called Klein, Maureen there told me to take it to a distributor (Home Depot is where I got and returned it), and they will happily replace it. They did just that.. and the new design doesn't have the offending tang that caused the crack. Great customer service.

In late November I started using a pair of Klein lineman pliars. This is where I am as of the beginning of January! Its a sickness of mine. I couldnt be happier with the auto ranging multimeter. Not pictured is my Klein electrician scissors.

Home Depot lowered the price of the electrician multi tool by $20. It’s made in China but seams well made.

Yeah, she's a keeper! (The bag, and the wife :D) Needless to say I was jazzed when I pulled the bag out of that fancy box that Klein sends their signature collection customized stuff in. The presentation was impressive! I guess she saw my old Husky bag stuffed to the gills...

I’ve never searched out Klein tools before.

I picked these up for $1 each used. The philips wound up in my main box and I find myself grabbing it more often than not. It has a nice grip feel and the tip feels like it has positive engagement, more so than my other BRAND NEW screwdrivers from a different manufacture.

Definitely not gonna overlook Klein tools anymore.

I do have a question though. In the same spot I found these, there were a couple of Klein sockets. Are their sockets and wrenches worth picking up as well?

They never made their own, they were made for them. I know older ratchet sets are SK, newer ones not sure.

I got the Klein Folding jab saw to replace the DeWalt fixed blade that would destroy my bag.

It locks into straight and pistol grip, solid locks, bright orange so I'm the only one on the crew with one if someone tries to nab it, sharp enough to even cut thin insulation and has a good weight to it.

What is in the bottom of the pockets for your drivers and needlenose pliers etc? I've wanted one of the oval versions with interior pockets for a while but worry about pointy tools wearing a hole in the bottom of closed pockets.

Wouldn’t worry too much.. if you really wanted to, you could always throw something in the bottom of the pouch for protection.. like a small piece of a rag or something.
