The blue Handle J12098 is the toughest tool I have ever owned . The use and abuse they have taken is a statement to Klein quality. Well done Klein .

That’s a good looking assortment. Lots of capabilities there. Those J12098’s you mentioned aren’t very common around here. They look intriguing. I’ve never seen any in stores, supply houses or jobs. They look like a well used favorite. What got you on a pair of them?

I buy every used Klein tool I find except strippers, used ones are always trashed. I have never seen a pair of these, so I may have to pick up a new pair and try them out.

strippers like the ones you use in the USA do not sell very well here , I have a pair from Xcelite bought in 84&87 next to no use . Automatic and the plier type sell ok , but we hardly use any solid cable it’s stranded. I don’t think Klein produce that type of stripper but I have been wrong many times before . Cheers

Hi Jeff are they double dipped the grips white then red ? What’s a comparable composition? We won’t see them here ,
and they don’t look like the Journeyman.

Well they look great, a nice item for your collection , do you have a pair in the presentation box or other limited pliers ?
the ones with the Stars and Stripes look Fantastic.
it’s really nice to know their are other hand tool / pliers collectors out there, we all seem to have a appreciation For nicely made items . I always treated my tools in a respectful manner rather than abusive.
Good tradesman uses good tools , and you are only as good as the tool you use .

thank you for posting ,yes your a addicted to Klein, but owning quality tools and knowing how to use them is a skill worth having . Regards A

I've used Klein for decades for electronics, auto electronics, and electrical work. They're among the last USA made companies but they are now selling China stuff so I won't be buying Klein for long. I sent them an email telling them what I thought of it. Got a nice reply explaining that it's just the few things going offshore.... For now, says I.

Thanks for that information regarding China , that’s the reason I collect Crescent USA and Australia , Klein. Chinese stuff is throw away , I do not know how a American company could put their name on the junk .

I picked this set up at a recent estate auction.. $10....

Another socket set (auction find, $5 in a box lot short 2 sockets). Replacement sockets 9/16 and 7/16 for $15.. Not bad for $20 investment. The new sockets were both the longer deep well. The pns are right.. so the sort deep wells must have proven less utilitarian.. or ??

These arrived today from a local supplier for Aud $44 Usd $33 which is cheap by our local standards ,
after 11 years of hard work I am retiring my old pair to the collection. I see the new ones have been redesigned, and changed the grip colour slightly
