Im guessing someone painted them. I dont know Klein to have ever done that.Knurled.. hadnt seen that crack.. havent had much / any time to study them other than dig the PN out of the rust.
Jeff, thanks.. knew they had to be common. What's more curious to me was the black paint.. did Klein use paint to keep them from corrosion? Or maybe previous owner applied.. ?
I wonder how loud Klein would laugh if I tried to get them replaced under warranty.... ??
