That’s what I keep hearing on the radioYou can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime you'll find
You get what you need
Luckily it's not a rare collectable. Clean'er up.Oops.
F’d up this time.
The door was fun. Crew is currently working on two more. Unfortunately, I’m stuck in the office![]()
That is one serious door!!!
The new salvage place you found looks like a honey hole
Did you leave that plane outside?
First “woodworking “ tool I ever bought .Luckily it's not a rare collectable. Clean'er up.
Your trusty little block plane is now your rusty little block plane.

I did have it cut. Didn’t want to F it up, because I’d never find any more.Nice work on the cabinet, Riv.
Did you have to have the glass cut?
Always wondered how they cut wire glass.
I built this cabinet years back, but just got it hanging in the new shop today.
I was doing a structural retrofit to a historic building that was completed in 1901.
The original builder was a ship builder that was in a prime position to rebuild Seattle after the great fire. He also was the Mayor of Seattle.
He went on to build the Rosario Resort on Orcas Island as his retirement home.

The cabinet doors are made from the rough sawn timbers, and the wavy, grooved chicken wire glass came from the elevator shaft.
It is probably my favorite work project I’ve done, and a great piece of Seattle/ Pioneer Square history.
Happy to have it hanging in my shop again.

Cuts like normal, then ya gotta wiggle it til it lets go![]()
My dad, the cabinet builder, lived in our house for 20+ years with no cabinet doors.I've had my kitchen cabinets open for about 5 years waiting to figure out the doors. This is the perfect look!
Now to find some....
Sad part is, I’ve been asked to demo a lot of it in retrofitting buildings. The bad/funny part is, I remember that glass being in lots of places when I was a kid! Gosh I'm old!
