I was messing around in the shop today and happened to notice all the variations in the handle design of the steadfast Duro ratchets. Anyone have any variations I don't have?

I like the middle two. With the pronounced bump in the middle - gotta be where the pawl spring is hiding! One of these days I'm gonna come across a non-working beat up one, and I'm gonna tear it apart and see how it's made.

I think that's the original patent design, too.

Todd,
I'm sorry about how small the ratchet picture was. That's how they load from my iPad. There are no other markings on the 3/8' drive ratchet as is common with the early Indestro ratchets. I will post some more Duro-Indestro ratchet pictures now that I am on my PC.

twertsy: be sure to take a look at the "Duro Ratchet?" thread HERE:

I have posted every photo of that style of ratchet that I can lift from Ebay listings.
My 3201 Indestro Super, as I recall, is just a little tiny bit different, but I don't know where it is at the moment. :headscrat

^ I think Outlawmws' take on that is on the mark: the "no name" units were most likely government or private label contract stuff. That seems to be the most reasonable and logical explanation.
