More Updates from this weekend.
Installed the cabinet doors after they were painted and hardware mounted.
Once the doors were intalled, I moved onto getting my "stuff" cleaned and organized. Took a few hours but it was well worth it.
Once the "stuff" was in the cabinets, I moved onto setting up my AV system. Receiver is in. Mounting the speakers tonight....I hope....

Yes, however I have a truck and the wife has a SUV so it gets a little tight when they are both in there. Most of the time my truck will be parked outside and her vehicle inside.
Last night I hooked up the XBox, mounted the speakers to the ceiling and played a little Need for Speed. It was nice to finally enjoy some the space after putting in so many hours this summer. Still a long way from completion as I need to get started on the walls. The walls need a final sand and prep for primer/paint. As we all know, a mans garage is never done however its nice to see it coming together.

Suscribed! The garage is awesome! I wish to one day do a full built in unit like you have.... but, there is one thing that erks me every time I see it in a picture. The two doors on the far right have the center painted the same color as the doors. All the other pairs of doors have white in the middle, but those two don't. My attention to detail borderlines on obsessive from what I am told, but it is what it is. Either way, awesome place and can't wait to see it all done!!!

Nice garage by the way, you obviously know the importance of organization. No matter what the size of your garage, if their is no cleanliness and a spot for everything, the garage will run out of room and become a wasted space.
What I mean is that there is white completely surrounding all the doors on the cabinets. When you look at the doors on the far left, the center piece is painted the same color as the door themselves. I think everything looks great and the garage is awesome, but that's a thought that constantly enters my mind when I see photos of it. Not a mistake, just an observation....

Did I miss it in an earlier post, but is your garage door track mounted directly to the face of the cabinets and the support angles removed?
If so that is a nice solution as I have been struggling with getting around that bracket for my cabinets. Never thought to remove it completely.

Hey guys. The reason for this is it is a double door that opens fully. I didn't think of painting the center white. Maybe I will. Either way its getting too cold here in Edmonton to be doing any painting. I was hoping to get the walls primed and painted before it got too cold....Looks like I will be waiting till spring.
Yes the garage door track is mounted to the cabinets. I seems to be working quite well.

Garage is really shaping up nicely.
A small update on the progress of my garage.
I installed a 4ft overhead light to my workbench. It provides a lot of great light. Ran the wiring through the cabinets so you don't see anything other than the light and switch. Flush mounted the switch too. I think it looks pretty good.
Ordered my black vinyl strip for the walls. They arrived a few weeks ago however it has been too cold to prime/paint and install. This will be a project for next spring/summer...
Prints for the walls came in too. Mounted them up in some frames and hung them to see what they would look like. I am pretty happy with the results.

Another update:
I have purchased a PolkAudio Subwoofer for the A/V system. I did not want it sitting the on the floor so I built a bracket to mount it to the ceiling. I also did not want ugly wiring hanging around so I added an electrical outlet and ran the signal cable from my receiver (which was located on the other side of the garage). Here are a few pics.

It has been quite a while since I have last posted an update. I have been working on a few other things recently - parents kitchen renos (will post pictures later).
Here is what I have been working on at my own home.
First we will start with the upgraded home network. I have been running into issues with the wireless coverage in my area. My neighborhood is a new development and there are a lot of new houses going up quite quickly. Needless to day, that means more wireless interference etc....So I decided to direct line as much as possible. Upgraded to a kick *** Asus router and went to a switched system.
Network before: (yes I know it was messy - just didnt get around to cleaning it up until now.
I also wanted to change up the drain lines from the HVR and Hot Water Tank to allow for a full size filing cabinet and have enough space for the drawers to fully open. This is what it looked like before
So I got to work with re-routing the 3/4'' PVC lines. Here is what I ended with
Once this was complete, I moved the filing cabinet in and made sure it fit correctly and allowed for enough "working room"
It turned out pretty well and I am happy with the results. Next was to tackle the home network. This was a longer job than I first through.
Mounted a 4' x 4' sheet of 3/4'' plywood for the backing board. Mounted up a small rack for the patch panel and room for the NAS and battery back-up unit.
Here is a shot of the back of the patch panel where I connected the CAT5E. Looks like a long process but it wasn't that bad.
Connections were done and it was time to hook it all up.
I picked up a airline reel for the garage. Mounted it up too.
Re-build a broken depth-guage on a small workbench drill press. My father in-law and I redesigned it on a CAD program and cut on the CNC mill.
Also - re-designed and made a new welding tank holder. I was tired of dealing with chains and the tank not being secured down.

I picked up a small shelf from Ikea for "trinkets" or little decorative items. Also picked up a few items from a local antique shop. The "M" is for my last name.

Thanks. That was the main reason for the tile backsplash. Now that the grout has time ti dry, I should probably seal the grout.
