Suppose I've been scouting for a 2754-20 (3/8" Fuel impact wrench) to go on sale. Am I better off buying from Zoro on their 25% off deal day?:

https://www.zoro.com/milwaukee-cordless-impact-wrench-180v-2754-20/i/G0704140/

~$127

OR

waiting for the HD holiday $100/$150 off combo kit deal, and pulling the 'ol switcheroo and returning the combo?

I can't seem to recall or find out how they applied the %off, so I can't calculate the savings there.

I don't mind waiting for Christmas anyway, as I don't have a pressing need for it right away.

I've seen some sites doing preorders, was Toolup, Ohio Power, Acme or one of them.

But I'd suggest you wait until there released to see if theres a promo. Like the One Key stuff that came with a free Fuel sawzall or circular saw.

So has anyone tried the cordless finish nailers yet?

Edit: I see it says coming May 2016.

Any idea if we are able to place preorders?

Yeah if you just want the bare tool and nothing else, best to wait for Zoro 25 or 30% off.

The HD xmas promo was applied proportionally, kit was $399, if you bought something $200, the $100 off kit and $50 off on other thing.

Been off of here for awhile and just went browsing through HD while I had some time to kill. I saw the new Milwaukee boxes that I didn't know about.... And it followed me home!

Is Milwaukee about to launch a 30" rolling tool box at Home Depot? I noticed this Sunday afternoon in the rafters and the guy couldn't get it ring up in the system.

I was at my local HD yesterday and they didn't have the 60" and I didn't see nailers or 30" boxes in the rafters. They did have like 10 sets of the older 40~" tool boxes.

$498? $497? At my local HD. Forget the exact doller. But right under $500 for the 30"

$498 is correct.

If you already have a 46" or are planning on buying both note that the 30" is a few inches taller than the 46". If you're OCD like me this might be an issue for you (then again, I will never own enough tools where I need both in the same space).

I'm betting it will be paired with the 9.0 battery. Takes some balls to shoot 16d ring shanks.

I picked up the M12 Stick Light to use in ceilings and data closets with bad lighting. It's working out pretty well for me so far, and it lasts a good while.

I didn't realize if you use the 4.0XC battery that it will stand up on it's own. So you can hang it from a hook, attach anything you want with the threaded insert, and stand it up on it's own. Pretty cool!

Greetings! I'm new to the Milwaukee area (har har), but as is typical I bought one tool and it rapidly evolved into a plethora of probably unnecessary powered compatriots.

I do have a question, though. I've seen quite a few people complain about a crooked chuck on the Milwaukee M12 drill/driver, and it looks like mine has the same issue—at least I think. It doesn't appear to be causing any problems, and the bits seem to be centered, but is this issue the one people say to ignore or is it something I should be concerned about?

Thanks for your help!

I don't think so... the successful Dewalt is 18v with regular batteries, and the 9.0 would weigh a TON and not balance the tool out.

I'm sure it is just more development time.

First off, let me begin by saying I love my Milwaukee circular saw and sawzall, and I have nothing against Milwaukee tools in general. I know they are very good tools

With that said, what is the obsession with Milwaukee cordless tools? Particularly, with the amount of xenophobes on this site that say "I only buy American made tools". I realize there's not a whole lot of American made cordless power tools these days, but there are plenty made in Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, Malaysia etc. I'm far from a xenophobe, I only prefer my tools not made in China. Nearly all my sockets, wrenches and ratchets are made in Taiwan. My Bosch cordless tools are made in Malaysia and gasp even America, and at least the money goes back to Germany not China like Techtronic Industries.

I'm just curious why all the "anything not American made is garbage" crowd is more than happy to buy made in China tools owned by a Chinese company nonetheless?

It's no different than fairweather fans for sports teams and such. It's about beating the drum when it's convenient for you.

I don't have time to read 203 pages of cool tools but I wonder if anyone has shown the most awesome and useful Milwaukee tool of them all:

I'm not a huge fanboy of Milwaukee tools but I do like them a lot.

The China-made logic is valid but there comes a point where we have to accept reality - there are no electric power tools made in the US so you have to choose from Chinese brands or not use some categories of tools. It's sad, very sad, but that's reality.

Dewalt makes some of their power tools in the US.
