You know, if you added up the $$$ Ive spent on doubles, cheap tools that had to be replaced, etc....I probably could have just fronted $2400 and ended up with that same set that would last me forever.

Here's a pointer if you have a milwaukee repair center in your town. Habitat for Humanity is sponsored by Milwaukee. When they get done with a building they return the tools/batteries to Milwaukee, the repair center by me usually has bins of "refurbished" batteries for cheap. 25-40 bucks.

Accessories for the addiction

2601 before, 2601 after

Where did you find the bit holder?
- sorry, just saw your previous response to this same question. Just ordered a couple from another seller on e-bay for two dollars less each.

I'll have to post some pics to this thread. I just found it this evening. Some nice collections!

Just bought a house that needs the floors and joist replaced in most of the house. Been using my 15amp Milwaukee sawzall and ran out of blades. Went to the local plumbing supply for blades and bought the Fuel hammer drill/sawzall combo. This thing is wicked! Nothing like my old Dewalt recip saw. Gave $359 for the combo with 2 batteries and charger with trade in of my old Makita drill that was dead. Sure as heck beats messing with cords! Seriously thinking of getting the new Fuel 7 1/4 saw now.

Couple comparison pics of 3/8 ratchet. I like the size and shape of the Milwaukee better. Having a gauge for the battery is nice as well. However the Ingersoll is definitely built much heavier and does not flex and feel like it's falling apart when you break bolts loose manually.

Couple comparing the big 1/2 impacts. Not much difference. Balance is a little better with the IR but not a huge difference.

My 3/8 cordless IR right angle impact showed up yesterday as well. I looked at the Milwaukee right angle impact but it only had 60ft-lbs of torque. The IR is rated at 180ft-lbs which is the same amount the air powered version is rated at. The Milwaukee looks more compact but the way the battery attaches looks like it could get in the way. One thing I hate about the IR stuff is their big bulky chargers. I guess you just can't win in the cordless world lol. There's a few things that made me buy these IR products over Milwaukee but for a one battery system I still think Milwaukee is the best choice.

regarding the IR tilted body, is there an advantage?

Looks to me like 6 of 1..... In some cases the tilt gets the battery away from a surface in front of your tool. In other cases it'll kick the battery back into something if working "up" in a "shaft" and it appears to make the tool a bit taller overall. But all these cordless impacts are bulky so seems like splitting hairs.

I just want to point out that I tried something with my M12 hackzawl today. It's the non-fuel version, and at first with the 1.5 battery I was a little unimpressed with the speed and it felt underpowered.

So I put a 2.0 fuel battery in it and its slightly quicker in RPM's and feels great now! Anyone else try this?

Here is a picture of my current Red collection, the impact is the fuel 3/8th's and is my new favorite tool!

I am heavily invested in the M12 line, but swore that I was going to pass on the M18 Fuel stuff. Then those bastards at Milwaukee just announced their new 7-1/4" circular saw.

And now the new M18 stuff comes with the multi-voltage (12 & 18) charger standard.

ARRRGGGGHHHH! MUST RESIST!

Yeah, me too. Then I decided I needed the 2763 impact so that opened the flood gates. It didn't help that I did the free battery promo w my 1st kit so I had three 4.0's.

Anyway, like the Borg resistance is futile. Give in to the M18, it's only a matter of time.

Do you happen to know if the 20 Volt chargers will also accept the 12 Volt batteries? I have the W7150 and W5130 and love 'em, but I'd really prefer to NOT have to have yet another flippin' charger for the 3/8" ratchet...
