Home Depot has dropped the price of the standard (Xenon) M12 worklight to $14.97. These lights basically **** compared to all the LED offerings, but for $15 it's worth it if you just need a basic light. All the LED stuff is sweet but hovers in the $50 range, $40 if you shop real carefully.

Funny you say that. I noticed this yesterday as well. I decided to get the M12 LED work light. It was $39. This thing is super bright. I'm impressed with it.

Cool, was it $39 at HD? If so that's a really good price. Either way you made the right choice, the LED's are nice and bright as you said and they throw a nice wide, even beam.

Yep $39. I think the M18 was $49? I liked how much more slim the M12 is. This thing really puts out a good amount of light.

Yep I've got both. Best I could do on the M18 at the time was $49 w free ship from Northern. Looks to me like the M18 is the same reflector & LED, which would make sense. The M18 has a cool hook tho. I wish the M12 magnets were a little stronger, they could have learned from the Nextec fluorescent.

The UPS man showed up today with my new M12 lantern and recon M18 2764 3/4" impact. The impact has some blemishes as recons sometimes do, but works fine and appearances don't bother me here.

I never fully understood how the light tubes rotate in the lantern for flood or directional, really cool!

How much did you get that lantern for?

Which would you recommend for a cordless gun the Milwaukee,IR,or snap on?really want to get one but can't decide, really thinking about the IR.
Flip a coin. I'd by the IR but if you want more tools and a one battery system there is nothing wrong with the 2763 Milwaukee.

Just the standard $59.99 from CPO. I'm planning to see if the USB will charge my iPhone tonight.
I have the dedicated charger that goes onto m12 batteries. Charges my Galaxy S4 very quickly. One of the quickest chargers I have. The 2.0ah M12 batteries are nice an compact so I can take it with me if needed.

Here's a partial shot of some of my latest acquisitions in my Milwaukee collection. Got some other stuff I've had for a few years, and I'll get a better pic this weekend.

Anyone ever had any of the Milwaukee multi-meters?

My Fluke finally died the other day after 20 years of service, and it's time for a new meter.

I planned on only buying one of these as my brother's birthday present this coming weekend. His current cordless drill is a 14.4V Craftsman I bought him more than 10 years ago. You can imagine how good the batteries are...

I left with 2, one for myself too.

And this looked like it needed a home too.

You are a really nice brother. I gave my brother a 4d Maglite when he moved in his apartment last year, said no and gave it right back. Only tool he has gotten me is a screwdriver I left at his place by accident.

I like to have good tools to "borrow" when I go over to his house to fix his stuff...

Yes love my gray one. Just ordered a black one.

Actually just washed my gray one for the first time, need to make sure it still works but they're supposed to be machine washable, hang dry

When I though I was done with my M12 needs (fuel drill, impact, multitool, jigsaw) They came out with a rotary tool...

I'm I'm holding back on the fuel hacksaw until I see a deal.

I'm waiting for some sort of mini circular saw with a guide. I bet they will make something like a lil track saw. Such as mafell but m12.

There's been 3 versions already, I can't even begin to tell them apart.

Not of the hoodie, no. 3 versions of the jacket and I'll tell you this much: my wife has the original red one. It's stained and well-worn but still works great & she prefers it over her woman-specific Milwaukee jacket. On the women's Milwaukee chose to move the front cells down to kidneys, apparently thinking women don't want their breasts heated. My wife decidedly says no, chest heat is awesome, but in fairness she battles costochondritis (if you don't know what it is, that's good).

NOW, as for the hoodie, I'm honestly unclear on if the recently-released black hoodies are considered a V2.0. My black hoodie should be here today!!!

edit: my gray one still works great after washing and now it's clean, which is weird.

I'm just convinced Milwaukee will come out w a real die grinder, and so I'm avoiding the rotary tool with its limiting 1/8" collet. However if they do it may be M18 as Makita's is 18V:

Ok so the black hoodies are a V2.0. Most notably, the power button has gone from a square to a parallelogram of sorts. It does look cool(er). Also the battery pocket is considerably larger to make room for an M12 XC or M18 w adapter.

Also at 5'11" 165# the black Small fits me much better than my gray Medium.

I bought the 28V combo package from the local electrical supply house over 10 years ago. I've added two more batteries and an additional charger and I have worked the tools to death -- they are still running strong. The supply house pushes the 18V stuff now, but I love my 28V saws and hammer drill.

I'll post pics later, but I stopped by Home Depot tonight and they have some deals on the kits. Up to $150 towards another tool, or batteries, etc.

I bought a multi-screwdriver for $9.95, and it came with two free Milwaukee can coozies.

Just got these goodies in the mail. Bought both on e-Bay, brand new in the package - the voltage detector for $9, and the multi-meter for $52. At Home Depot, the meter is $129.

What impact wrench would you recommend the normal garage dude. To take wheels of and work on your car

I have been very happy with this one. In fact I swapped to my winter rims and tires today with it.

I just bought the M18 Fuel 1/2" impact bare tool. I got it for $189 with a Vet Days sale. If I was to do it again, I'd get the non-Fuel M18. The M18 fuel impact is a big tool. I under the non-Fuel version is smaller. I also have the M18 Fuel 3/8" impact. I took a picture of the two in order to compare the size difference. I'll post the pict. tomorrow.
