The Festool 564558 gives you a 1/4 hex driver, a drill, a 90* hex driver, an eccentric offset 1/4" driver and a proprietary Centrotec chuck. All can be controlled through an electronic clutch.

The 90* and eccentric adapters (chucks) are also indexable to several positions on the face of drill motor. Chuck removal leaves a 1/4" hex on the drill motor itself for really tight spots.

The Milwaukee Surge driver is nice, but it isn't in the same league as that Festool.

True! But it takes the batteries I already have a drawer full of.

One9gt, Thanks for posting photos of the light. Looks pretty cool and will likely be priced accordingly especially with the size of the light plus the large bracket for mounting it which appears to stretch the width of a hood. I expect $200-$250 price for the bare tool. That said, if I did much work under a hood, I'd be buying one.

My new my Milwaukee charger buzzes like crazy when a battery is plugged into it. My old one never did that.

Is it defective? I emailed Milwaukee a few days ago, no response yet.

This is all of the Milwaukee stuff I've picked up so far. I haven't even had a chance to use all of it yet. I've been impressed with everything that I've used especially the sawzall compared to my old Craftsman C3 one. I've sold off all of my large collection of C3 stuff except the the stereo which I'm in the process of selling. The C3 line has become stagnant with no innovation and rarely any new additions to the lineup. Plus, I figure that Craftsman's power tool lineup will be updated to a different battery platform now that Stanley will be involved.

I'm still looking to eventually purchase the following:
0882-20 M18 compact vacuum.
2360-20 M18 Rover flood light
2353-20 M12 spot light
2861-20 M18 mid torque impact wrench. (Hoping Zoro adds this one soon and can use a 30% coupon)
2792-20 M18 job site radio/charger (On the fence about this one as have read spotty reviews especially on acme.com. I noticed they are on clearance at Home Depot and it makes me wonder if a new model will be coming out soon)

I'm sure I'll find other things I want as this stuff is additive for sure.
Thanks for posting all of the eye candy.

Huh, kind of annoying, but 90% of time time I'd never be able to to hear it over the noise around it, so I'm not bothered

maybe i need my hearing checked, i haven't heard a buzzing from it while charging M12 or M18 batteries. have not tried both at the same time, though . . . .

The rapids are still sequential, no? So it won't actually charge 2 at once.

Now I'm trying to remember if my old charger was a rapid charger, because it never buzzed

Anyway my rapid chargers definitely hiss but since they're in a metalworking shop it's the least of my concerns LOL.

I've joined the dark red side...Local kmstools had a good sale I couldn't pass up.

I think w some good 3/8" impact sockets you'll be amazed (or at least fairly impressed) with what the 2754 can do. You'll just pull out the 2763 to tear **** up when you need absolute brute force.

I would recommend the M18 wet/dry vac over the compact, not sure what benefit the compact has over the wet/dry one.

The original M18 Flood now also called Rover is perhaps the best Milwaukee light when all things considered, especially if the updated model is 1500 lumen.

M12 spot is good, but the M18 search light is better, I would even choose the M12 Mag over the M12 spot, unless you need the really long range.

M18 Mid Torque, we all want it.

M18 Jobsite Radio/Charger. I love it and have had all the radios/speakers except the new M18/M12 bluetooth speaker.

I'm still looking to eventually purchase the following:
0882-20 M18 compact vacuum.
2360-20 M18 Rover flood light

I'm surprised there has been many things released or teased that were not shown during NPS 2016. Wouldnt need 2 M12 Sticks and 1 M18 with this thing.

Just gonna leave this here

I'm going to bring it to work and see what it can do. My box is filled with snap on 18v and 14.4 power tools so it be a good test on the field. The Milwaukee will mostly spend its time at home anyways...

If that comes up for sale I'll be buying that.. the hf under hood light I have *****.. no idea why people recommend that thing... If you have NOTHING else, I'm sure it's better than nothing, but it's a far cry from being "good" in my book.

Its a step up from the M12 version (which I have) with its 2 speed mode option and rotating head feature

But oddly it only produces 75in.lbs. of additional power over the M12 unit

There not big nut busters but do drive screws and tighten things amazingly well

$119 is also reg. list price for the bare tool too.

You have the m12 version and you're happy with it? I wasn't sure if they had an m12 but I wouldnt mind that one...

wish they made that light in m18

i have just added a deep cup fuel band saw to my long list of m18 stuff and love it all. Im a SO guy but they dont have the warranty of prodcut line milwaukee does. Ive also started moving my entire fleet of line man tools to milwaukee m18. The guys love the cordless stuff and it kicks *** in every aspect.

Perfectly happy with the M12 and its list for $99 retail 600 in.ibs. vs the 675 of the M18 so only a 6 ft lb difference on the torque spec. (56 or 50) I really like the inline form of M12 using a compact battery. It is the longest of the M12 RA tools (the drill and ratchet)

I went round and round about this but I use the M12 more often though I have said before if could get a good discount on the M18 3/8 wrench I consider that for sure even with the larger heavier battery.

I really have been hoping they would step up the M18 RA drill and the two impact tools performance levels a bit with something new.

Some of the others here have or had the RA M18'S and there have been post and pictures before. Maybe try searching posts with right angle or RA keyword

M18 Rover flood is almost like a must have...its one that probably has the most useful directional and mounting arrangements of the portable lights they offer.

Thought the new m18 spotlight does looks pretty useful too with the rotational head.

I have the M12 Spot light. It is very light weight and compact. When I first received it was surprised how small it is when compared to most of the rechargeable "floodlights" out there on the market. I like to think of it as tool bag sized. Pretty good light for maintenance inspections around a house, checking roof shingles soffits or eaves. I think the price has been dropped at least $10 since it was first released Seems to $59 retail a lot places now

Thanks for the info, I use the m12 stuff at work more and the m18 at home. I might look into the m12 since I'll be using it at work too.

Do either the M12 or M18 Right Angle Impact Drivers accept bits LONGER than 1"? All I can find is that they take 1" bits. Hoping, provided there is room for it, that they'll accept the hex to square socket adapters in case my 1/4 Impact Wrench (2452) can't fit. Even with the 2-3" length of those adapters it should be shorter than a 2452. I already have both the M12 1/4 and 3/8 ratchets but the impact driver has about double the torque. I prefer the right angle impact driver to the right angle impact wrench because I will still be able to drive screws and drill holes in those confined places.

I realize I have other options with the tools I already own, but it's been two weeks since my last M12/M18 purchase and I want something! (Not counting the two hoodies I ordered yesterday...not tools)

I've got a line on a new 2712-20 rotary hammer for a good price. Does anyone have any experience with these compared to a corded version? I'd be replacing a 5359-21 corded tool if I did this.

Absolutley true...except now that we already have the sticks it's going to be hard to want this thing unless it is $50 but I'll bet it will be 3 times that at least.

Where did that pic come from? And what madman didn't take a pic of the model number?

The cordless snap on is not crazy expensive as a bare tool, so this might be reasonable, and would explain the stick light being marked down to $49..
