Who's selling the m18 5.0 and 9.0 amp hr batteries the cheapest?
I don't mind buying new but the prices seem to be all over the place.I wouldn't trust a Craigslist seller for a battery ,who knows what or where with that.I wanna expand a little into m18 but only have 2 2.0 amp hr batteries that i dont wanna have to swap off of the tools there on.Just wondering best source pricewise thats a legit seller
Thanks guys
Anyone have the Milwaukee Miter Saw try using the smaller M18 batteries on it. Obviously won't carry the same life as the 9.0, but I'm wondering if they'll do in a pinch.
I'm also looking at the M18 hedge trimmer. If I nab the miter Saw for Black Friday, I'll have two 9.0 battery packs. Then I can start rotating them between the bigger tools.
Listen, the BEST place to get 9.0 batteries right now, esp if you want more than 1, is the 9.0 promo starter kit. They are still available. The regular 9.0 starter kit is $199. It comes with one battery and the dual rapid charger. The promo set comes with 2 9.0 batteries and the charger for the same price of $199. Its right from Milwaukee, so no chance of anything shady. Find a 10% coupon if it's worth it for you, and you'll get it for $179 if you can use it. So basically that's like $75 per battery and $30 for the charger (which might be a good idea for those batteries, they take a long time to charge on standard chargers)
You can order it right from Home Depot with free shipping or store pickup.

even without a 10% off coupon, that's a great deal, and worth the extra few $$ imo to have a store that will warranty them, and the piece of mind. Considering the single 9.0 retails for $169, you be hard pressed to find a better deal on multiple 9.0's.
I'm a little skeptical myself of some of these eBay things.. I'm sure some are legit, but it looks like you can buy genuine EMTPY Milwaukee m18 battery cases with the circuit board on some of these direct from China websites, 18650 batteries for under $2 a piece. I've bought batteries from eBay before, but paid a little more for ones in sealed retail packing that would be hung on a peghook.
Look on eBay for "beats headphones". Most of them are fakes, some of the ads even use the same pictures from the counterfeit manufacturers. If they can make good counterfeit headphones and sell em for $22 a pair(not on eBay of course) with fake retail packaging so real it's almost impossible to tell the difference, what's so hard with batteries. Wanna laugh, go on YouTube and search for counterfeit 18650 batteries..
But then you don’t get two batteries.
They say the 5.0 or any XC battery will work fine on the saw though I think they said avoid using the compacts.

Is the code for any thing?Allright I'll be the Guinea pig and preorder the 2488-20 bare tool solder iron using ACME's current 15% off EXPLORE code
Wouldn't doubt there will maybe some free battery offer coupled with it sometime down the road though

I'm hoping the new ratchets will be popping up any day now at HD. As for the vacuum, NO WAY lol. The wet dry vac goes though a 9.0 in 30 minutes, and it's not even that powerful. It would take like 3 6.0's to get even close to feasible. I just wish the M12 vac had a bit more balls, because it'd be really nice to use it for quick stuff with it's size, but as it is the reviews are awful. So I stepped into the battery operated tool pool last Christmas when I got an M12 Fuel 3/8" impact and a M12 3/8" drill. I love them both especially withe the new M12 3.0 compact battery pack.
I sure wish they made an M12 Wet/Dry vac even if it required 2 M12 batteries (Hmmm ...)
I think my next purchase might be the new M12 Fuel 3/8" ratchet. Or a Hackzall or BOTH !![]()

This.
KC is talking about the starter kit with 2 batteries not 1.
The M12 vac is just a dust buster, it works well for what it was designed for.
The M18 vacs are better, but I would never use them as my primary vacuum, they are for portability and they work great for that.
Some things are not really ever going to replace corded tools, at least not with the current architecture they are designed on.
Guess that depends on your definition of anything but for most Milwaukee products yes.

Also, any rumors on Milwaukee doing a tablesaw to compete with DeWalt? I'd really like to use my Milwaukee batteries on a table Saw too.

Milwaukee M18 Miter Saw is the Special Buy for today only (10/9/2017)

$469 (down from $599). Comes with one battery.
Tempting, but last Black Friday, the saw was for sale for 599 for two batteries. I might hold out till November for the extra battery.

Most of the boxes with 2x9.0s are gone, though there has been promo with 2nd seperate 9.0 free with kit. Dont understand why all HDs dud not clear out the boxes with free 2nd 9.0 inside. If any of your stores still have them, eventually could be clearanced, lowest was $350.
Do you have SKU? I may go investigate. Hoping they bundle a 2nd separate battery for Black Friday. I might also consider the metal saw stand.

All stores that had them at $350 went back up to full/reg price. So you won't find them currently at $350.
The stores I know that have promo box never had it on clearance, if they are not sold soon they may go on clearance. Stores that had it at 350 either no longer stock the saw at all or have the bare tool. Somebody doesnt like batteries aging on thr rack too long.
Just ordered my first Milwaukee M12 tool (3/8 ratchet) and I already have the multi-voltage charger from an M18 set.
Where do you guys recommend I purchase a 2.0 M12 battery from? I saw they're $49.99 through the "legitimate" outlets but I'm also finding them for $26 on eBay and $33 on Amazon- claiming to be authentic. Any thoughts or precautions?
