All my M12 and M18 batteries were purchased through kijiji, not one problem yet

IF you are in the southwest Missouri area you might want to checkout the Team Tools tent at Farmfest in Springfield. I picked up a M18 grease gun for $100 and a couple of 5.0 batteries $60 each.

Thanks guys

Listen, the BEST place to get 9.0 batteries right now, esp if you want more than 1, is the 9.0 promo starter kit. They are still available. The regular 9.0 starter kit is $199. It comes with one battery and the dual rapid charger. The promo set comes with 2 9.0 batteries and the charger for the same price of $199. Its right from Milwaukee, so no chance of anything shady. Find a 10% coupon if it's worth it for you, and you'll get it for $179 if you can use it. So basically that's like $75 per battery and $30 for the charger (which might be a good idea for those batteries, they take a long time to charge on standard chargers)

You can order it right from Home Depot with free shipping or store pickup.
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...ree-9-0-Ah-Battery-Pack-48-59-1890P/301952901

even without a 10% off coupon, that's a great deal, and worth the extra few $$ imo to have a store that will warranty them, and the piece of mind. Considering the single 9.0 retails for $169, you be hard pressed to find a better deal on multiple 9.0's.

I'm a little skeptical myself of some of these eBay things.. I'm sure some are legit, but it looks like you can buy genuine EMTPY Milwaukee m18 battery cases with the circuit board on some of these direct from China websites, 18650 batteries for under $2 a piece. I've bought batteries from eBay before, but paid a little more for ones in sealed retail packing that would be hung on a peghook.

Look on eBay for "beats headphones". Most of them are fakes, some of the ads even use the same pictures from the counterfeit manufacturers. If they can make good counterfeit headphones and sell em for $22 a pair(not on eBay of course) with fake retail packaging so real it's almost impossible to tell the difference, what's so hard with batteries. Wanna laugh, go on YouTube and search for counterfeit 18650 batteries..

Anyone have the Milwaukee Miter Saw try using the smaller M18 batteries on it. Obviously won't carry the same life as the 9.0, but I'm wondering if they'll do in a pinch.

I'm also looking at the M18 hedge trimmer. If I nab the miter Saw for Black Friday, I'll have two 9.0 battery packs. Then I can start rotating them between the bigger tools.

This weekend I went camping down in Southern Ohio. The only available campsite did not have electricity. So I brought my M18 Rover, the M18 LED light, and the Jobsite Fan. Also brought my new M18 power source to charge our phones. The fan was a MUST with the warm night's we had. The rover was great because most nights we didn't get back to the campsite until dark and gathering firewood and kindling and starting the fire would've been awful in the dark. I had it on the lowest setting and it was more than enough to light our entire campsite. I was blown away by the little cheap M18 LED light. It was extremely bright and perfect for walking up to the bathrooms or through the woods in the pitch black, and the runtime was fantastic. I used it for about 6 hours at least and didn't even go through one bar on a 5.0. Finally the power source kept two phones charged all weekend only using one 5.0. First time my girlfriend was actually happy I have so many tools. I think next time I'd bring my hackzall for firewood and maybe even the Wet Dry vac if I had enough space to blow up the air mattress and keep the tent clean.

All that camping and no lantern?? Wtf... oh, and just FYI, the compact blower also comes with the tips to use as an inflator/deflator. Might save some room.

They say the 5.0 or any XC battery will work fine on the saw though I think they said avoid using the compacts.

Do some searching around on ebay,I just bought the starter kit with the 9.0ah batt and fast charger on ebay for $112.50 with shipping.

Can't saw to the actual miter saw as I have and have used the **** out of the fuel circular saw. The last cut before the 9.0 battery shuts down is noticeably more powerful than a fresh 5.0 off the charger. Although it's still usable. Never have actually taken the 5.0 all the way down on the saw though.

I've used the 5.0s and they work great. I don't have any 4.0s or less to test. The 9.0s not only last longer, but they are capable of putting out more amperage... so they can power high demand tools like the miter saw with more oomph. But I didn't have any noticeable issues doing cuts with the 5.0.

I LOOOOOVE the M18 miter saw by the way.

Allright I'll be the Guinea pig and preorder the 2488-20 bare tool solder iron using ACME's current 15% off EXPLORE code

Wouldn't doubt there will maybe some free battery offer coupled with it sometime down the road though

So I stepped into the battery operated tool pool last Christmas when I got an M12 Fuel 3/8" impact and a M12 3/8" drill. I love them both especially withe the new M12 3.0 compact battery pack.

I sure wish they made an M12 Wet/Dry vac even if it required 2 M12 batteries (Hmmm ...)

I think my next purchase might be the new M12 Fuel 3/8" ratchet. Or a Hackzall or BOTH ! :bounce:

I'm hoping the new ratchets will be popping up any day now at HD. As for the vacuum, NO WAY lol. The wet dry vac goes though a 9.0 in 30 minutes, and it's not even that powerful. It would take like 3 6.0's to get even close to feasible. I just wish the M12 vac had a bit more balls, because it'd be really nice to use it for quick stuff with it's size, but as it is the reviews are awful.

The M12 vac is just a dust buster, it works well for what it was designed for.

The M18 vacs are better, but I would never use them as my primary vacuum, they are for portability and they work great for that.

Some things are not really ever going to replace corded tools, at least not with the current architecture they are designed on.

I have two of the M18 vacs (the big rectangular ones), and I find myself using them nearly all the time now. The M12 I threw in a box and never use.

Mainly what I do is cleaning out the cars/trucks, but general house cleanup I often pull it out, sawdust, etc. I think a very powerful portable shopvac will eventually come out with the 9.0s out, or even a dual-battery setup.

Every day I get farther and farther away from corded tools. I haven't even taken my DB Glide Bosch out of the box since I bought it... my Milwaukee M18 gets all the work it was supposed to do, and replaced my old Bosch 5412L nicely.

Just ordered my first Milwaukee M12 tool (3/8 ratchet) and I already have the multi-voltage charger from an M18 set.

Where do you guys recommend I purchase a 2.0 M12 battery from? I saw they're $49.99 through the "legitimate" outlets but I'm also finding them for $26 on eBay and $33 on Amazon- claiming to be authentic. Any thoughts or precautions?

Most of the boxes with 2x9.0s are gone, though there has been promo with 2nd seperate 9.0 free with kit. Dont understand why all HDs dud not clear out the boxes with free 2nd 9.0 inside. If any of your stores still have them, eventually could be clearanced, lowest was $350.

Speaking of the Devil:

Milwaukee M18 Miter Saw is the Special Buy for today only (10/9/2017)
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...ng-Compound-Miter-Saw-Kit-2734-21HD/207178988

$469 (down from $599). Comes with one battery.

Tempting, but last Black Friday, the saw was for sale for 599 for two batteries. I might hold out till November for the extra battery.

Do you have SKU? I may go investigate. Hoping they bundle a 2nd separate battery for Black Friday. I might also consider the metal saw stand.

Dont have SKU, UPC is what I search by most nowadays. Model 2734-21HDP, UPC 045242494163. Last time I searched by the model it did not come up, UPC is best bet.

All stores that had them at $350 went back up to full/reg price. So you won't find them currently at $350.

The stores I know that have promo box never had it on clearance, if they are not sold soon they may go on clearance. Stores that had it at 350 either no longer stock the saw at all or have the bare tool. Somebody doesnt like batteries aging on thr rack too long.

I'd kill for one of those at $350. Or I'd trade my Bosch DB glide for it. (new in box.)

Our stores started to run out for a while once people started posting those $350 prices on here, but they have been in stock since with no appreciable discounts.

Doubt I'll find it for that at my local stores.:(

Probably going to have to wait and hope Black Friday has a two battery combo deal.

Question, what version ratchet did you get? The reason I ask is because if it's the original, right now you can buy BOTH the 3/8 and 1/4 versions with charger and 2 batteries for $199.. just FYI..

Eh, out of stock online now.. maybe call corporate and see if they'll honor the price

I swear I have NO ******* PATIENCE for the Home Depot website anymore.. it's takes a full 2 minutes before it stops spazzing out until I can actually type and search for something.
