This counts as a you ****!

Where did you get it from?

Home Depot. More specifically the Home Depot I work part time at. The store normally doesn't carry this in stock so when it came in as a return, it immediately went on clearance. I could of had it for cheaper and stacked my military discount on top of the clearance price plus the discount that magically appeared as I went through self check out courtesy of the head cashier but I wasnt trying to be greedy nor did I ask for it. I was content at the clearance price of $73 [emoji23] it pays off to be friendly to the cashiers AND work in the hardware department.

Toolguy posted that the packout combo 269-279, is gonna be $199 for the holiday season and HD stores will have it, still think that is too much even with 10% off.

Acme just posted a good sale on the 18v 10 inch miter saw kit with one 9 amp battery. $479 plus one of several free tools or 2nd battery. Probably works out under $300 for the bare saw if you sold the battery and free tool.

I had this loaded on my iPad in bed last night (bare tool $499; kit $479), but the Acme site froze up so I put iPad down. Went to the Acme site today, and the saw kit is back to $599. Oh well

I did get the M12 Fuel Impact from HD with the compact Packout organizer. Impact, battery, and charger all fit great in the packout.

I really liked the case and thought I could find a use for a few more. Everywhere I saw was $32.99, including this eBay seller but they accept offers.

Got 2 more organizers at $25 a piece shipped.

So safe to say the insert for holding drill/driver and batteries is removable so the whole case is available for storage items?

My local ace had one in stock and it was priced at 21+ tax, I thought it was good.

For the people that missed the deal

Certain HD still have the miter saw kit with TWO 9.0 batteries in the box.

New HD promo is $599 for miter saw and you have an option of one "free" FUEL tool. Find a store with the miter saw with two batteries and take your free promo fuel tool. That makes a great deal for those that didn't get the miter saw for $350 with the 2 9.0's

So I tried gathering all my red goodness for one photo, and then I ended up forgetting a couple things at work still(M12 rover light, m12 impact). I also have the m12 handheld vac, soldering iron, and the fuel 1/2" Ratchet on the way. Not as bad as some of you guys, but I def have a problem. 04a2b2d3fb66fa5f67bcc19ba2b150e3.jpg

Wish they would stop moving the price on the M18 Fuel and OK kot back and forth. Even with the free light and tool I got better deals on the OK kit last month.

Even better was the 2696-26 kit $200 off with 2 free tools, but by mid day they realized the mistake and took off the 2 free tools.

Correct, it's just a cheap piece of plastic and is removable. They also make a set of 5 inserts to hold hardware that can be found for $5.

I have been using the M12 copper tube cutter

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/cordless/2471-22

The tool works great for cutting out copper pipe in a crawl space plumbing retrofit. Unfortunately when the tool gets wet it shuts down. It took 3 or 4 days of drying it out till it worked again. Kind of silly for a copper tube cutter to not be able to cut pipe that has had water in it.

Oh well. It sure worked better than using pipe cutters, especially when I didn't have the clearance to use the larger ones.

I have also been using the M12 propex expander tool

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/cordless/2432-22

This thing is awesome. Making fittings is a breeze, the use of propex stuff is great, easy and well done. I am extremely satisfied with this tool. It is expensive, but worth every penny.

The copper tube cutter and the pvc cutter are great, saves a lot of hand cramps

I was looking thru the HD Black Friday email I received. They have the M12 FUEL Hackzall with several different optional free tools for $169. You get the saw 4.0 battery and a free tool. I am eyeing up the kit with free tubing cutter

Used my M12 3/8 ratchet today for the first time. I set my expectations, according to the feedback I received here, and I love it! What a time saver! Great product.

That seems pretty good. 90$ at HD vs. 60$ at Amazon. Might try to grab one. I've only got one 3.0XC battery so getting a 6.0 would be nice.

Ya I should get one too, bet it would be some amazing run time. Most the M12 tools get done what I need. AH is AH though..its funny I get what seems like endless hours using a 4.0XC in my 2891 BT speaker, I have posted about that before but I popped a M18 1.5ah in just cuz it was handy and I couldn't believe how quickly it ran out

My store finally received them...pricey for $199 but I'm loving all the storage bins it comes with. I still use my ridgid setup but this one is so tempting...

I need to hit the store to grab a few more things to really have a full selection but I think it's going to be very useful at 2AM!

I had added the M12 6.0 to my wish list on Amazon. I watched the price for awhile and jumped when they where at $48. If you watch for awhile the price varies. YMMV though.

That’s the Kobalt rack, right? Looks great! What are the dimensions of your box? I’m looking at building the same thing.

If someone tries to charge an M12 or M18 battery in a foreign outlet, do they need an adapter to prevent damage to the battery or if the charging station good to go?

Where's the Reese's?? 😆

Eww, those are in my GF's packout set. She gets all the Reese's and I take the rest. She loves them.

48$ is a great price. Maybe I'll do the same and watch it for a bit.

I would think as long as you use the right power adapter, (or plug adapter, whatever you wanna call it) you should be fine. But I'm just guessing. Don't see any reason why it would be a problem.

Chargers are only rated for 120v. You'll need a transformer if you're input is more than 120, otherwise you'll fry the charger

If you had a charger that had an input of 120-240v then all you would need is a plug adapter to fit the foreign outlet.

Meant to check, good to know. Would not of guessed only 120v as most electronics especially battery chargers are typically 120-240v these days.

Obviously, the European market gets a 240v version but I have yet to see one that has the 120-240v switching abilities.

This might be a stupid question - (and you'll immediately be able to tell how well traveled I am) - but when you buy plug adapters to use YOUR stuff IN foreign countries, isn't that what those stupid things do?? I they aren't knocking down voltage, what's the sense of it just converting the plug style if you still can't use your own things? What would even be the point of people buying them then?

Some electrical items/cords are designed for the higher voltage. For example, if you look at your cell phone charger, it probably says, "input: 100-240V". For electrical items that are designed for the higher voltage, all you need is the plug/prong adapter. Since these adapters don't have to convert voltages, they are pretty cheap.

For electrical items that are not designed to work on 240 volt outlets, then you need an adapter that not only changes the prongs/plug, but also converts the voltage from 220-240 volts down to the standard 120 volts. These convertors are typically more expensive.

So it is much cheaper to just buy the plug adapters if you don't need to convert the volts. Moral of the story, check your electrical components before traveling internationally, check the standard outlets and voltage at the destination country, and buy the right adapter ;)
