I don't know yet. Haha. I ordered a bunch of new stuff and threw it on the order. I was mostly using the corded band saw yesterday. The hacksaw seems decent for the little use it saw yesterday. I have a dozen or so new houses to rough in the next few weeks. It will get some good use and ill report back then.
Ordered me one of these + magnet earlier today...
Just used mine for first time last night....looking up a duct chase to figure out how the heck to insulate it.
Dont have the magnet (yet) but was able to hang it off some nearby armored cable....worked great, tons of light that looked like daylight instead of a yellow incandescent bulb.
My M18 2654 3/8 impact wrench and M18 2653 impact driver look identical. The outer red shells look interchangeable and the only visible difference being the larger motor housing on the impact wrench. The similarity is so close that I'm guessing the protective boot might fit either tool since the vents/ports locations are also identical. I'm skipping the M12 impact wrench for now but interested in the M12 stick light

It's really really hard to beat that 2654 3/8 brushless. I have the bigger one but almost never use it. I originally thought I wanted the biggest/strongest one they made, but in hindsight the 2654 is strong enough for almost everything and is not much heavier than a small impact driver. Hard to beat that.
I've almost bought the M12 3/8 brushless impact I was so impressed with the 2654. I haven't done it, yet, though
I like my 2643 1/4 impact driver but I am thinking about getting the 2654 since I have been reading a ton of good things on here about it. Also I was curious to know, does the 4.0 Ah battery really provide more power? My very limited basic battery knowledge, it doesnt seem like it would but didnt know if there was enough power that you would notice, like bolts you couldnt break with a 2 ah battery you could with a 4 ah.

I've never used the 2654 heavily with a smaller battery, so I can't really speak to that.. I doubt it's noticeable unless you're constantly using it on stuff it can barely get off with the larger battery. I'm not sure there's a difference, but I'm no electronic engineer either.

Yeah, I think when I get the 2654 ill just buy a 4.0 battery instead of the whole kit. The 1/4 brushless impact driver did a pretty good job, there were some stubborn bolts but again, it wasnt really made to tear down a 10KW generator.

Yeah I just bought the bare tool then had two of the big batteries from the $399 home depot driver/drill special that they were running around Christmas.
I really wish I had more batteries when I'm using them heavily though. I have two (soon to be three) lights.. so those being on for hours at a time can **** through some batteries
If I could only have one electric impact it would be the 2654 though.. I use my little impact driver some too on smalls tuff, but primarily just use the 2654

I bought the Fuel M12 3/8im impact and to be honest, did not think I would have much use for but felt like I needed to buy it using the HD promo. Kind of like buying that gallon can of corn at Costco because it's such a good deal.
Well, I had to remove all the seatbelts in my Superduty this past weekend and it came in handy. Half way through removing the first belt with my 1/2in ratchet and making small movements because of the space, I brought out the 3/8in impact and it worked like a charm. I'm very happy with the tool. It took a few hits to break the bolts loose but did it with ease.

Got my M12 stick light + magnet in today. Very bright for the size. Magnet is strong. And of course my windshield wipers didn't work today.. so I had an excuse to use it.
It's really NOT very good at lighting large areas (nor is it supposed to), but it does work well for specific spots. The magnet & hanger thing was kind of hit or miss.. I wish there were multiple spots for the magnet to screw on to. That would make it more versatile for sure

if you want a REALLY good lithium led light thats great for under the hood, check out the one from capri tools.. $40 - and honestly its prob worth twice that.. i love mine.. cant say enough good things about it.

I went looking for grinding wheels tonight and had to empty a cabinet to find one. Here's a quick pic of some of mine. The Sawzall up front is from 1968 per the serial, my oldest Milwaukee that I still use regularly. The M18 drill and driver set are my newest, bought them last summer when HD had them marked down to $120 for the set. I'm not really a fan of cordless but couldnt beat the price for occasional use. Call me old fashioned but there's nothing like the power of a plug, I've got a 3/4" Hole Hawg that sprained both wrists a few years ago when a bit grabbed.
You really cant beat the power and durability of Milwaukee motors, nor can you beat the low price and availability of parts. They still carry every part including the s/n plate for my 68 Sawzall.

Yeah I had that problem too.. I think it'll still be useful, but I know what you mean. I wish the metal arm thing would lock in more positions instead of just these two. The magnet also needs to connect to other spots instead of just that one in the middle

Was in HD and they had M12 battery charger and battery kits on the regular display with a yellow sticker for 25$ so picked up a couple of sets. Also wandered by the clearance table, brand new M18 Fuel tool only sawzalls for 150$ when the non-fuel model is on the main shelves for more money. Asked if it was a mistake but nope, so grabbed one of them too. Good deal for cdn pricing which is usually 20% more.

Well thanks to this thread I am now a Milwaukee Tool Junkie. So in a effort to save a few dollars ordered a battery from Amazon, not an original battery but one from AK Tools, it hasn't arrived yet but this morning I received this email from the seller. Needless to say my expectations are now very low. It is a M12 extended battery. Will let you know after it arrives what the results are.

Well, got back last night from the Cornwell Tool Rally in Orlando. Milwaukee had a large booth there and some smokin deals. I dropped $3,000 and got a ton of stuff. When the shipment comes in Ill take pics and post for drooledge
I would find out what is their return policy. I woudn't use a generic battery on tools that the originals are still available. For something older where you don't have a choice, maybe. But there are so many M12 tools you can buy a kit and have a real battery today.
You might want to look into photography mounting products? They have a lot of very effective articulating/clamping stuff. It gets very expensive quickly, but some is really well made.
Depending on the weight, I would check one of these out.

brand new Milwaukee batteries sell on ebay for only a few dollars more than the generic ones you bought, so I'm not sure why anyone would ever buy a generic battery.
Picked up the fuel drill and fuel impact driver with 2 batteries and charger for 299 and got the sawzall bare tool for free. Then I bought the fuel grinder on clearance for 149 and the M18 led flashlight for 9.99 because the package was open. Also pictured is a m12 screwdriver that i purchased a couple years back with the shockwave bit set. In the next coming weeks i plan on ordering the 2763-20 HTIW with a boot and the 2646-20 grease gun along with a 5.0 ah battery for use with the 2763. Im a heavy duty mechanic so these tools will get plenty of use however i do look after my stuff very well. Ill be sure to post a pic when my new stuff arrives.

no idea how old this is, but seems like it could be really usedful.. found it on a site that sells lineman tools.. 12v outlet and usb port for m12 batteries.

Has anyone ever thought about putting a trade system together. I've got an extra 1/2" M18 Drill, 1/4" M18 Hex Impact Driver and a 3/8" M12 Drill all in great shape. I'm sure others have extras around from kits and deals etc.
The USB port on that version has very low amps. Get a USB car adapter and stick it in the barrel, and you can charge newer phones at 2.1A or more if needed.
