The new M12 ratchets look nice.
I got momentarily excited about the new trigger, but alas no reversible rocker switch :( . I guess I don't get too excited about more torque since accepting all of these need a little manual action and complimenting with impact tools anyways. A small form impacting version + some beans + a rocker switch would sell me in a heartbeat though :).

I can't understand why anyone would want that with an 18-volt battery hanging off the bottom.

I think I could justify lugging an M18 battery if I could ditch the cord on this...

The Mellif version for $50 looks nice. I wonder if the 3x brushless Milwaukee is worth the premium? Alternatively I've thought about 3d printing a attachment to run a flexible tube off a m18 blower.

Forgot to post this for the packout fans...

What would you use that for, inflating air mattresses and river tubes?

Actually really useful for blowing off small areas/crevices were a full size blower would be cumbersome. It is 100% a nice to have tool but by no means a need to have tool, basically luxury tool.

Fortunately or unfortunately I don't have to inflate blow up furniture/dolls too often. My use case is mostly indoor household dusting.

I have a hilarious story, but it's definitely a thread tangent, and has nothing to do with Milwaukee (or tools)...

Have you tried the right angle impact? I love them, used the **** out of them when I swapped my motor a few years ago. Admittedly the head is quite a bit bigger but I far prefer them over the ratchets. I haven't tried any of the newer ratchets though.

I would use it in place of an air compressor and a blow gun.

I want to buy one of those because I don't have a compressor and don't want one.

I have been holding out for a V2 of that to be honest. The form factor deterred me from giving up on my pneumatic impacting ratchet.

Thats fair, they are not particularly compact compared to the ratchet but its remarkable where they still fit. I was able to get my crank pulley bolt off with one and be no where near the radiator. If they do make a V2 I don't know if I'd upgrade unless it was a significant difference. Its done everything I've ever asked of it, even if it was just barely a few times.

Remember someone in this thread mentioned he got a -hot- deal on a MX Breaker
I wonder how did he fare .....

I've only seen it once in real life...house around the way had a water leak I suspect. Evening crew came out on emergency call and surprisingly.....the MX breaker was easy work on the street blacktop and what not for the initial pass of locating the main source of the leak before the backhoe arrived

Anyone own the Milwaukee

For a looong time, I used to have my eyes on owning a Collomix.
Gotten too busy, I find myself hiring contractors a bit more than DIY

I just used my M18 Hole Hawg as a mixer.....which got me thinking about the Milwaukee Mixer that came out, but I never really looked into it as it wasn't on my -want- list.

A lightbulb just came on in my head...

I've just started thinking about getting some basic M12 tools to use in the RV....

THIS happened last week on our trip to NY...

20250815_082526.jpg

After waiting for 3 hours for the service truck, I'm now thinking that a M18 impact wrench would be a worthy investment. Along with a better jack, of course...

Oh, and the 3-hour wait was in a safe parking lot just off a main highway (I-90, Mass Pike), 10 miles from the tire shop that sent the truck. Twice before, I've had to wait until the next morning for my roadside assistance company to even bother calling around for available providers.

Big and heavy seem to diametrically oppose "precision." Even an M12 would seem like overkill.

I use a M18 blower with a stubby nozzle to dry my car after washing and blow water out of the cracks. The smaller form factor, even if it still has a M18 battery, is a welcome addition.

I’ve had a gen 1 m12 stubby for years, one of my most used impacts. I’ve been putting off upgrading to a gen 2 since they came out but I think I’ll go ahead and pick one up tomorrow.

I’m curious however, does that new mode selection procedure with the trigger double press while the selector is in the middle, do you get used to that? Does it become second nature or is it just something your put up with to get almost double the power of the gen 2?

I got used to it almost immediately. I thought it would be a big deal, but it ended up not being one for me.

Haven't paid attention to Red offerings at all lately....hit a plateau....
On the new list...the new M18 Nibbler.

Pretty content with all my drills/drivers for now to not warrant another one...

Think I might be stuck in a plateau as well. At least a 4 month one. Just saw in the deals thread the sub compact brushless drill and impact are finally going on sale.... but then I thought I could justify it as ... I am down to 6 milwaukee impact tools after giving two away. A sub compact screwdriver might get me off the pot.

Also hoping the m18 brushless fan goes on sale one of these days.

Apparently someone at Milwaukee Electric Tool has a real tool addiction because he allegedly stole $1.1 million dollars worth of Milwaukee tools over the past year. He only got caught earlier this week when a shipping company delivered 9,000 pounds of Milwaukee tools to his West Allis, Wisconsin apartment and the shipping company got suspicious and contacted Milwaukee Tool. YouTube has a news clip up on the alleged theft today.
Can anybody say “Packout?”

I haven't gotten around to actually using it yet because my kitchen remodel went almost 6 months over after it had already been extended 2 months. Also the trigger came broken and Milwaukee wouldn't warranty it since it was an ebay purchase. Milwaukee also literally didn't want to sell my any service parts for it/didn't have a part number to sell me. They wanted to sell me an entire assembly which would have been crazy expensive considering it was just the switch which was broken. I did figure out how to fix it and it wasn't particularly hard to fix. I haven't done a final fix on it but I've tested it out and it works fine.

I might use it this fall. I need to demo the rear cement pad in my backyard which broke in the 94 earthquake. I'm not sure if I'm doing that project first or if I'm gonna work on the driveway. Either way, I'd use that jackhammer.

Well, my first 0880-20 shop vac crapped the bed this weekend. Wont run at all, even after switching batteries.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this one?

note to self - pay for a legitimate warehouse front to properly launder goods

Hopefully you have had a chance to -exercise- the battery at least just to keep it healthy

Did Milwaukee stop posting pipeline videos and go back to on site only? I looked for pipeline videos and could only find stuff posted by people who were there.

Completed my Milwaukee wrench set with these flex heads. Keep them all on my work bench.

Tell us how these work in real life. I own exactly ZERO Milwaukee wrench sets, but I noticed these are on sale currently for $500 for both flex head SAE/metric sets. I have the two of the clear top Packout socket sets and they have been decent, but $500 bucks for these seems salty if the are just run of the mill, Taiwan made flex heads with the Milwaukee name on them.

As far as function, they function the same as any other flex head.

The small details is where they shine, and where a tool pusher will notice the difference. The 2.5 degree arc swing is tight, and the open end side has their "Max-Bite" design which works extremely well. You really have to work to strip a nut or bolt, they bite that good when properly sized to the nut or bolt. The adjustable set screw for flex head tension is very convenient as well, and keeps the flex heads from being too floppy after a lot of use, although some people prefer them that way.

Its a very nice wrench set, and they will be trouble free for you as long as you aren't trying to use them as a breaker bar, which no ratcheting head should be. However, if you aren't going to use them a lot then you might consider a cheaper alternative since none of the aforementioned "details" will ever really be apparent or needed, but that's not the GJ way :).

Milwaukee's version of RBRT?

I would be using these in the field and mostly in medium duty automotive, with some heavy equipment mixed in from time to time. I like the head adjustment option. Have you had them for a few years?

I have had them for a few years, but I find myself reaching for a combination wrench far more often than the ratcheting flex heads. When you need them, and actually have them, its super nice and you'll be glad to have them, but I find myself not needing their specialty purposes as often as I thought I would. 95% of the mechanic work that requires a wrench can be completed with a combination wrench and/or a regular ratcheting wrench. The remaining 5% is where having a flex head is saving me time, and its usually a substantial amount of time that is being saved.

Overall, I like them and would buy them again if they ever got stolen.

I did some research on the new nexus shop vac stuff and it looks like the nexus gen2 inline accessories are backwards compatible with the the gen1 shop vac stuff. If I got a good enough deal on a gen1 vac I might bite but I'll probably still hold out for a good deal on the gen2 with a dust separator as a package deal.

I stand corrected Looks like it is a slight improvement in CFM - 106 for the gen 1 dual battery vs 115 for the gen 2/Nexus vs 125 for the dust extractor.

Not sure why they standard spec a 1 7/8 hose when they have a 2.5 inch option. Also the dust extractor has a weird 36mm hose apparently.
