OK got traded in the plain drill and hackzall for a hammer drill and impact. I ordered an m12 hackzall and full size sawzall in M18. Also looking at some work lights.

I'm guessing the idea is to push a bit of voltage into the "dead" battery so that the charger doesn't detect it as "too low" and abort its charge cycle?

I have been looking at that really hard!!!! If it would charge a battery while plugged in I would be all over it. If I remember one of the other companies had a patent on that so others had to pull theirs that would do that.... But a decent rugged radio and the M12 driver for $99 is still really hard to pass up. I am going to Lowes today for one of these 200 piece Mechanics sets for $99 just to keep around the house.

Screw you guys. This thread is killing me!

I've spent over 4000 grand with milwaukee in the last 10 months.

I can't take much more of it!

I picked up the radio and driver set as well for those that own them does the battery light flash on your LCD when not turned on..I thought it meant dead batteries but have swapped them a few times and nothing changes

Mine is doing the same thing. I am wondering if its something to do with the AAA's that came with it maybe....



On a side note where is a good place to keep an eye open for deals on Milwaukee.... I think my next purchase will be a few extra batteries M12 and M18 and a porta band... Not sure on 12 or 18 for that but do want that next.... Looks like it will be much better for cutting conduit.

Seems to mean installed M12 battery dead, or none inserted.

I just purchased (2) 48-11-1840 4.0 XC batteries on amazon for $68.99 plus $6.34 to ship. I had to search a bit but I found them. The seller is Tools Tools & More. I just checked, they are still on sale.

Some of us are stuck picking up USED stuff like this holeshooter I got at a garage sale yesterday .......








For 4 bucks.

for semi frequent use would you all recommend spending double the money on the m12 fuel line, starting with the drill and hex impact? or should i save a few bucks and get the red lithium stuff.

also what is the compatability between the tools and batteries?

The Fuel won't be doing you any good. Buy brushed and save your money. The batteries are the same no matter what.

hey guys i'm wanting to pick put the m18fuel high torque i guess i should have bought it like two weeks ago when i saw them for sale at like $169 tool only i just looked tonight and best price i can find is $219 can any of you point to to a place to get it for a better price?

Plumbing contractor. I have (5) M28 4 piece combo kits plus some plumbing specific Milwaukee cordless tools. I have a few DeWalt pieces and they don't come close to Milwaukee in quality IMO.

I've never seen that gun any lower than 219. Where was that at?

idk maybe i was looking at the old one then cuase i just noticed they are at 169 so **** i better just pull the trigger.

also what do you guys think a good asking price is for a used m18 1/2" drive non fuel impact going to probably sell mine as soon as i get the fuel.

anybody else thinking m12 ratchets are going to be comming out with a fuel version soon... i keep thinking that they will soon since they had that big sale at homedepot buy fuel tool get the non fuel for free

It's hard to say, but i would like to see one. I think one problem is, brushless motors have more size to them. So they might have to figure out how to deal with that first.
