What are you talking about? I wasn't being negative to you, not at all. I was replying to someone else who inquired about the light I posted in my picture. After that, when you responded, I sincerely thought you were referring to a non-LED version of the M18 light. And I misunderstood, that you mistakenly thought that was what was in my picture.
When I was commenting on the LED M18, I was comparing it to the earlier, non-LED 18v versions, like this 18v light...
I own one of these (buried somewhere in the garage), and it *****. So bad, that I never used it. It sucked when it was brand new. It had low light output, high battery use, quick degradation of light output when the battery power starts decreasing, etc.
All ******** aside; why don't you like it? It seems to provide good flood, and it's bright. No, it's not as bright as a spotlight on a flight deck, but it's worked well in the situations I've used it. The first time was mounting some under-cabinet light fixtures. Naturally, the battery allows the light to sit firmly, and the flex head allows the beam to be positioned however necessary.
Of course, it's too bulky to be carried around a jobsite in a toolbelt, but I don't think that's the intended purpose. Sitting on flat surfaces, tables, floor, counters; and it really seems to work well. With the integrated hook, it hangs under vehicle hoods. It doesn't point the beam down, when hanging from just the hook, but I cheated that by looping a large zip-tie around the battery and hooking it under the hood as well. It made a good beam down on the engine compartment then. Battery life seems endless when using a freshly charged battery, with not much light degradation as the battery wears down. The LED seems to be really efficient.
I don't care if you don't like it, I'm just interested in hearing your opinion, if you care to share it. It's possible you've used it differently than me and it was completely inadequate. As a consumer, I'm just interested in the review, good or bad. It doesn't hurt my feelings, or my ****.

Great idea, never thought about that. I kept searching the Milwaukee site for a part # on the bag and not finding anything. I'll check it out.

What kit are you referring to? I didn't know it was available in kit form.
Like I said earlier, I'm sure I wouldn't have bought the light, retail. But for $25, I figured I couldn't go wrong.

It's part of HD's Christmas/BF sale. I got it with the Dewalt kit (returned Dewalt kit) for roughly $50 OTD.
not very impressed with the 2735-20 (m18 LED worklight). i got the m12 LED light previously and thought if it was that impressive, the light output of the m18 was going to be awesome.
i was wrong, the m12 seems to be brighter, maybe its because the 4.0 battery that came with it was in brand new charge state? but they put the exact same LED and light assembly on the m18 and the m12, the only difference is the handle and battery attachment.
light is good for the price though. those sets were still on sale at 79, i was able to use a 20% HF coupon and knock it down to 63.. so i don't think it was too terrible of a deal to grab a worklight and a 4.0 xc battery for only 63 before tax...

Never was aware they sold that in kit form. At the sale/coupon price, it seems to be ok. The M18 4.0 battery is certainly worth $50. The same guy I bought the light from on craigslist for $25, had (and still has) brand new batteries in the original retail package for $50. Naturally, I bought a few of those from him too.

just ordered the 3/8 right angle impact for automotive repair use
it was a holiday package, came with the single light (part number shows its a bare tool, -20 on the end) and a 4.0 xc batt.

Yep, but I already have a jacket and the 3in1 is ~$250 and the regular is ~$120 vs ~$60 for the hand warmer.
true, didn't realize the 3 in 1 was that much more than just the jacket.
Yea I was surprised when I saw the price.
I just cant justify dropping that much when I already have a really nice UA jacket I wear.

im playing with the idea of a bare tool purchase.. what r u selling? havent decided on anything just yet.. the 3/8 fuel, 1/2" high torque fuel, or MAYBE even the regular m18 1/2" impact.. 450ftlbs is more than enough for me.. they are all just toys for me anyway..
im actually proud of myself.. sold my old dewalt 18v circular saw.. i think its the first tool ive EVER sold...

Torque wise I think the 3/8 fuel and 1/2 non high torque are pretty much the same.

If it makes your decision any easier, I got the 3/8 fuel tool only for $90 plus tax yesterday using the $150 off sale and returning the kit.
Did this a couple weeks ago.
Trying to see if I can do the same with the circ saw, just have to find a store with it in stock and willing to match the website price (store price is 199)

Picked up the 6.5" fuel circular saw. First Home Depot said they don't match their own websites online pricing. The one 10 minutes down the road matched it instantly with no questions asked. I wish there was some consistency amongst these stores.
The second one is also the one that didn't give me any grief for lowes or northern coupons. It may just become my go to store, even tho it's 15 minutes further from my local one.

Yeah thats what I was worried about too. The store Ive had price match the website gave me no grief doing so, but they dont have the circ saw in stock.
I have something like 5 or 6 HD stores within 20 minutes of me, 2 of them have the saw listed as in stock but the quantity is 2 or less so I dont know if it is accurate or not.

None of the ones near me were showing any in stock, so I wouldn't go by that. In fact, the store I got mine had none on the shelf by it's price tag, they had a couple hidden at the end of the aisle amongst some other stuff. Make sure you look around.

i think i get it.. he bought the $400 fuel drill/impact driver combo and landed $150 towards another tool.. the bare tool (3/8" impact wrench) is only $125 i think - but the sale deducts the $150 off the combined price of the purchase of the $400 kit AND the $125 imact ..
so together the price would normally be $525, but it deducted $150.. ($25 more that the second tool) and got the total down to $375 for both.. then he returned the $400 kit.... and im guessing somehow came away only spending $90 for the impact when he was done.. am i close?
The 150 off is spread proportionately across eligible items on the receipt. So the kit is 399, the impact is 125... total receipt is 524 before tax.
125 is a little less than 1/4 of the whole bill so the impact gets about 1/4 of the 150 discount... 1/4 of 150 is about $37. 125 - 37 = about 88 for the impact.
Then return the 399 kit and keep the discount on the impact.
To maximize the deal this way (to keep the smaller item and return the kit), buy the cheapest kit to trigger the 150 off (the dewalt kit) if you plan on returning the kit anyway.
The net result is about 27-33% off most m12 or m18 tools. Not the greatest ever but better than most coupons and you are sure the tools and warranty are on the up and up because they came from home depot

When you return the item, is it as simple as them scanning the receipt and the kit you're returning, and money being applied back to your account( if paying by credit/debit card)? I have to do things like this at different stores cause Im always at the return desk scheming to get one thing or another, and Managers get suspicious.. Lol.
It's all a game with them anyway - cause they raised the price of the fuel combo from $367 to $399 when this deal started.. I'm gonna have to start asking the other HD i visit if they will match HF 20% coupons. My local store will not..
