Check ebay prices. The drill runs around $90 brand new, batteries run $35-40, charger is around $20. For that price, I would be buying the m18 fuel drill and impact driver kit with 5.0 batteries doing the $150 off deal at HD. If you don't want the impact, it will sell for $100 on ebay.

150 off deal is combination only

I'm hoping for a good deal this Christmas season on an M12 Fuel 3/8" impact. I would really like an M12 Fuel 3/8" drill (to replace an ancient 7.2V Black and Decker), but they don'r make one  I would also like an M12 Fuel reactionless ratchet. Again, MIA ! :eyecrazy:

They exist in the non-Fuel line but I really want brushless because I plan on using the smaller battery for lightweight.

I just purchased a used m18 fuel sawzall at the flea market for 40 bucks. No battery. Will post pictures later.

Edit: the chuck is worn out and won't accept a sawzall blade so will have to contact a repair place. I won't how much is it yo replace.

Freak,
Being a Fuel sawzall, the tool should only be a few years old at the most. Milwaukee has a 5 year warranty. Send it to them via their e-service for free and get back in about a week and a half. You'll have to print out a shipping label. They also pay for shipping back to you when tools are under warranty. We mostly run Milwaukee tools at work and I'm always surprised at what fix under warranty.

Long time lurker, first time owner. 2763-22 I can tell I already love it. One question though, I thought they shipped with the 4.0 battery's. I received two 5.0's. I bought it from ferguson plumbing supply.

What's the downside to the 1/2" chuck over the 3/8"?

I don't know if it's a good deal of not but HD has a deal we you buy the 3/8 FUEL impact wrench (kit with charger and 2 2.0 batteries) and get the 3/8 ratchet for free. I've been really tempted to pick it up myself but what stops me is that I think I would rather have the 1/4" ratchet instead. Any thoughts on 1/4 vs 3/8 ratchet?

I'd be happy to send you two 4.0 batteries in exchange. ;)

I'm assuming the newer Fuel kits have been updated, but the product number stayed the same.

Just scored the Bluetooth speaker on eBay for $36 shipped. Told the wife she can put it under the tree for me for Christmas.
Still eyeing the 3/8 Fuel impact and the circular saw. Just trying to justify since I've only used my corded saw once in 5 years and I have an air compressor and 3/8 & 1/2 pneumatic impacts.

Is it just me or did the price on that kit with the 'free ratchet' go up $100? It was $199 now it's $299 so it's not actually free. I was about to pull the trigger on it too.

I recieved it on a Saturday and brought it into a service center on monday. :)

It's out for warranty now. To see what they will do. It is missing a few parts, the adjuster for the blade, the locking piece for the blade adjustment, and the light on the front didn't work. Plus it was made in 2014.

Dizaam! It's not just you I recall it being 199 too. There are also comments on the HD website saying the same thing. Not a deal at 299 for sure but if it goes back down I may still consider.

home depot (or Milwaukee) did this last year as well with some things.. The gen1 fuel drill driver kit was down to $369 until the promo last year, then it went back to $399.. Not a huge jump, but still lessens the blow of the $150 off.

Yep it was $199, I ordered one which is scheduled to arrive on Monday.

I've got most of the Milwaukee tools I need now. Just waiting for a deal on either M12 or M18 stick light.

Why would they warranty missing parts? I've never heard of anyone doing this.

I'm just saying when I bought it from the flea market it didn't have those attached. Gone. Vanished. Original owner must have removed for some reason. I was mentioning the items it didn't have when I bought it.

So they're going to rebuild it for you and send you a bill? Or do you think they will cover it for you? I know the warranty covers defects like the light and such.

I brought it to an authorized milwaukee service center. The chuck where the blade inserts will not acept blades. It's worn out. So i brought it in to get fixed. The tool is only a year old. When I brought it in and told him the issues I had and what was missing he said "we will send it out for warranty to see what happens". I know they won't replace the missing parts, because I'll purchase the missing stuff. Just wondering about the chuck.

I'm sure they will replace that they're usually good about that. Milwaukee service is excellent.

Damn, I wish I would have known people on GJ were looking for the bluetooth speaker. I've got a brand new one I'd sell for $30 shipped.

My wife took our Bluetooth speaker to a craft show this last weekend where there were no other provisions for music. I set her up with a 4.0 battery and a couple spares just in case. The room in which the show was held was not that large, it's more of an intimate, high-end setting (she made $750 in one day selling her metal art!!) and she played the speaker from 8:30 to 4:30 that day, and remarked she was surprised she never had to change the battery. She got home and I used the speaker the next day in the shop; when I started it up it still said it had 3 of 4 bars on battery charge!

I gotta say I'm liking that little speaker more and more in the shop, too. It's so small I can easily carry it around and stash it just about anywhere, it's great for streaming Pandora and seems to charge my iphone5s faster than our wall chargers (I realize wall chargers vary in quality and output). Max volume isnt' massive but it's sufficient for 99% of what I do.

Love that milwaukee impact but the new makita is going to destroy it.

The problem is that you can point out individual "wins" for every cordless manufacturer. But you cannot compete with Milwaukee's selection in either the M18 or M12 series. The 2763 is mighty awesome and has done everything I've asked, plus it fits with all the other cordless tools Milwaukee offers that Makita doesn't.

I am a former happy Bosch owner (actually, I still have ALL my Bosch stuff... have to put it together and sell it)... all my Bosch cordless tools have been WONDERFUL. I would say for overall quality and battery fitment they are actually a slight edge above Milwaukee.

But they haven't been able to compete for selection - nor has Makita or Dewalt - at all with Milwaukee.

I haven't seen that deal locally. Any chance you have a link?

Makita's 18V selection is huge, it's just never talked about here. Milwaukee is catching up but I think in 18V Makita has more tools (I'm hesitant to pull up manufacturer's claims because of how they might count a "tool."). Put poking around Makita's site reveals some interesting results.

As for Milwaukee, I also find I'm really liking my heated vest. I wear it under a crappy sweatshirt in the shop every cold day. It's still too big around, even in Small, and I look a bit like the StayPuft Marshmallow man, but I'm warm!!

I got into the M12/M18 last year and even though Milwaukee surpasses the performance of the Bosch 12V tools from 2007 I just can't get rid of them. None of the Bosch batteries have failed nor the Bosch tools. The Impactor feels a bit weak but maybe because of the power of the FUEL. The Bosch tools feel perfect in your hands and seem to be made better from another time. Sometimes speed or power doesn't beat quality.

Is anyone having issues with their drill chuck not releasing? About 10% of the time it will just not let you undo the tension. Today, i had to use a strap wrench to get the bit holder out of the chuck. This thing is brand new and I have not even depleted one batter with it. Model 2704.
