Used my sawzall for the first time today with a 9" Diablo bi metal nail and wood blade to break down and cut some pallets. Life is so much easier... so much easier to handle than my grandfather's older makita corded saw.

Thinking about snagging that M12 fuel kit for $179 too

Not sure having the m12 version of the m18 stuff is worth having if I already get the m18

Size matters. Some situations the smaller tool wins! Get both

Picked up the 3/8 Milwaukee Fuel Impact after my pneumatic impact took a dump after 10 years of service:

And of coarse you have to get the boot too:

Did you get the new impact at Home Depot? If so, how much was it?

No, I had to get it this past Monday... Got it off the tool truck at MSRP.

Funny this is I have been using the **** out of it this week and that is how it looks after wiping it down.

The big 1/2 is on my list to get. This 3/8 has a lot of power, takes off lug nuts and installs them no problemo (unless you run into lug nuts that were WAY over tightened.)

I have the M18 Fuel 3/8" impact with the 2.0 battery. Anyone know if a xc5.0 battery will increase the power or just a longer run time.

I had a few lug nuts I couldn't take off with the 2.0 batteries even with hammering on them for like 20 seconds. I threw on a 4.0 to see what it would do and surprisingly it took them right off. Both batteries were fully charged also.

How much longer of a runtime and power increase would I see butting a 5.0 battery over the 4.0 or 2.0? I have the 3/8 fuel impact, fuel drill/driver and now a fuel sawzall. The sawzall came with the 4.0 and the impact the 2.0 x2 kit, the drill I got bare tool and use the 2.0 in it as well. Been debating on getting the 5.0.

well the numbers stand for amp hours... so a 4.0 will run twice as long as a 2.0.. a 5.0 longer still.

I picked up my dads Christmas present today. He wanted a cordless drill but being cheap only want a mastercraft one. Home Depot had the set on sale for 179 when I checked online. When I got to the store I found out they included the extra battery for free. He's not getting the extra battery, I am keeping it

I understand that but how much longer between the 4 and 5 is average for any tool. I know all will be different, just curious for day, a drill. And do they really improve power noticeably?

that same set goes for 149 in my local home depot but no extra battery... was a local store promotion?

The price is in canadian dollars, we always have higher prices even when the dollar is above yours. It must have been a store only promo as I didn't see it online.

just think of it like gallons of fuel.. if "said tool" will run continuously for 30min per amp hour under no load.. a 2.0 will give an hour.. a 4.0 will give two hours, and a 5.0 would give two hours thirty minutes..

its all speculation for every tool, and dependent on the load its under and how hard the user is with it.. something like a grinder, thats used constantly wont last long.. i think my 4.0 made it about 35 min sanding paint off a light post.. but my m18 fan can go for something like 10 hours on the low setting..

I know it will run longer with the larger battery, but I was most interested if there is a noticeable increase in power with the larger battery

Regarding the 3/8 impact #2754-22.... is this a "new" model, or just incl the 5.0 battery? I noticed Amazon does not have the 2754-22. Only the 2654-22 is listed on Amazon, and the 2754 is also not in stock at my HD.

Toolbarn has 24 in stock, and a side note on the site: Instant Rebate: For a limited time buy this tool and get a Free 5.0 Ah Battery Instantly in Cart!.

I am wanting one bad now that Ive seen all the videos/reviews, etc.

Also - while on fastenal's site looking up the 2754-22, they listed a 5.0 3/8 impact, part number 2754b-22.

How many models of these are there, lol?

After searching online reviews of the XC 5.0 batteries there is no mention of additional power. Just longer run times. Any mention of more power is when comparing with a standard battery.

With all these deals floating around i think its time for me to get into this M18 fuel game. Google brought me here so i figured id join up and post along.

I already played the HD discount game to get the 2763 impact for $146, just gotta wait until my store gets more in stock so i can go pick it up.
Now Ive gotta decide if i want to do the CPO 2754-22 + free battery deal for $329 or the International Tool 2897-22 deal +free tool+$50 off+$15 gift card for $349. Really would use that 2754 more but could make due with the gen 2 1/4 inch impact for a while until i could save up for one...

My decision would be so much easier if someone wanted to buy or trade a M12 bandsaw kit for a 2754...(or any of the other available free tools from IT)

Zoro has the 2754-22 for $263 using the 30% off promo.
I chatted with Home Depot online and they will not match.

Not sure if it has already been said as I have not read the rest of the thread but you can order a head kit for the ratchet for like 15 bucks

Thanks! I'll look into that.. that sounds like a winner

What do you guys use to clean the grime and dirt off the Milwaukee Drills?

I use goo gone on mine. It does a really good job.. especially on the black rubber sections. I use it on soft grip ratchets too.. works great

I usually rub them down with goo gone, then put a little bit of Dawn on them and rub that around to help get the goo gone off. Then run some hot water on them (doing my best to avoid water going into any major openings) and all the grease comes right off. Let them dry out for a little bit and there ya go, clean tools.

I haven't had any problems doing it that way so far

I may just do that, pretty much the same deal as the cpo/toolbarn minus the cost of the free battery

HD online chat told me they would do 5% off 206581428 which is the 2754-22+anoter 5 ah battery... That makes it $312.55

Saw that a couple days ago and picked one up. Not a bad bag for $60.

i really had to force myself to wak away from that.. its a really well made bag, but if your not gonna use it as a toolbox then its a bit of a waste IMO.. you loose so much space to the tool storage stuff, and its so friggin heavy..

i got a ripstop nylon carhartt bag last year for work on sale for like $35.. its much better suited to carrying cold weather stuff than the milwaukee would be. too bad..
