Just FYI - the indent on the top of the gun is to hold the Milwaukee voltage detector.. So you can hold/use 2 tool with one hand.. I don't plan on buying the voltage detector myself - but just so people know.

Good to know since I have one! I wouldn't have guessed it honestly so saves me some time looking it up.

Amp hours are amp hours.

The 4.0 battery will give you about 20-25% more run time than the 3.0 battery, depending on the tool and discharge rate. Apparently, some of the Milwaukee 18v tools perform differently based upon the battery used.

The larger battery also means that it will take longer to charge. Getting the fast charger may be a good idea.

One of the HD's in my area has the remaining 4.0 batteries on clearance for $65.00.

Note that there are apparent significant differences between the 4.0 and 5.0 batteries per product labeling (construction, internal electronics, venting, water intrusion protection and operating temperature range). The 5.0 battery may actually be a better buy.

There are 6.0 and 9.0 Ah batteries in the pipeline.

lol I want to demo it before I buy it's hard to find a charged battery pack in the store.. I'm tempted to bring mine in to test.

I wore my heated hoodie in today and one of the HD workers were asking about it and how do I like it and I said I love it.. it's a little short on run time on high but I was curious of the extended batteries fit or it's just the normal and the 2.0 batteries that will fit?
