My M12 requires a alen wrench to change blades. It works OK for small projects, never used a M18 to compare power

Do any of you have an opinion on the M12 vs. M18 multi-tool?

I know the M18 advertises a tool-free blade change, is that the same for the M12?

Any notable power differences that would make you choose one over the other?

Kctyphoon, how do 2 of the snap on lights compare to the m18 light on the stand?

I haven't really tried them side by side to do a comparison, and the m18 has the advantage of the head being 7' tall with its own stand.. I'm just taking a guess for now, but it seems like the Milwaukee has a brighter more intense light in the area it illuminates.. Both are very good though as you can see, and the m18 is just SO easy to set up. Youre up and running in seconds.

I have the newer brighter snap on lights at home (2000 lumen model) and I don't remember one of them being as bright as the m18, but still very good. The lumens spec out the same, but the lux is probably different. If I have another call at night in a dark area I'll try to remember to test them out side by side, but no telling when that might happen.. Tonight is my last day on night shift for another 2 months I think..

The paint markers - will there be a Fuel version?

Those are the FUEL version. The normal Inkzalls are using older sharpie technology. However, soon to confuse the market they're going to come out with a brushless version that looks exactly like the normal Inkzalls, but bleeds through two sheets of paper instead of one.

Just scored all this stuff for free at my local Home Depot. I was walking through the tool dept and the manager was re-setting the shelves. He had two full carts of miscellaneous cordless tool tidbits so I asked him if it was clearance and he told me it was all free take whatever you want.
Scored 5 M12 chargers and a new M12 battery plus what you see here. Great start to the weekend!

LOL... but what will be the benefit of Inkzall Fuel Gen 2 markers and do we have to wait until 2017 for them?

Checking the fill level with your cell phone. Well, you can but I can't. Of course there won't be a Windows Phone version of the OneInk+ app.

OneKey is supported on Android & iOS but not WinX Mobile? Is there a PC app for OneKey or is it mobile device only? Not that I'll ever get into OK.

Where are the new nailers Milwaukee promised for early 2016 and the 6.0/9.0 battery. Saw something that said the 9.0 battery was going to be $249, damn thats expensive.

OK well that might come sooner.. I just finished typing and got told I need to go out and set another pole got hit.. People need to learn how to drive.

Thanks for the info. I've got a couple new SO lights with 1 mounted on the CM stand and had contemplated either getting the m18 stand or adding a second SO to the stand using a 2-3' piece of flat bar to have both on the same stand. Trying to decide if the SO would be (about) just as good and it would save me money to buy other tools.

Well I didn't get a chance to compare them side by side - got caught up in other stuff and wound up not having to go out and do anything after all.. My feeling would be this - if you don't NEED the lights to be cordless, the second snap on light is probably the best choice, and honestly it's cheap enough that you can buy it "for now" and then upgrade to something else later if you still want to..

For what I do, and where I work - which is somewhere different everyday, outside, and sometimes in multiple locations working on the same jobsite, that m18 just makes life SOO much easier.. No cords, no propping up lights, it's up and running in seconds. The downside is I know I have to babysit the thing cause it's all plastic and will NOT survive I good hit. Keep in mind - I didn't pay for mine. (I had to buy someone some tequila instead) if I needed to buy another light, I would have went with another snap on too..

The new smaller m18 dual powered light is only $150 and is 1/3 brighter than the tripod .. Also - there is a 2700 lumen version of that snap on light floating around - maybe on eBay..

I'm hoping that Milwaukee M18 Flood Light deal with the battery comes back in stock at Home Depot before the deal is over. Finally decided I'm going to purchase it and it's out of stock once again.I like the Snap-On drop light for right in front of the garage where I already have electricity, but for grilling on the patio or gardening late at night in the summer I think that M18 is going to be really nice. I was also thinking if I have to go "rescue" somebody then that would be invaluable. I've done two serpentine belt replacements now in a dark parking lot in the last year on roommate's cars.

The 2754-20 3/8" compact impact I ordered arrived today. Sold my 2654-20 for the same price I bough it for, $129. Now I need to sell my boot for the 2654 and buy one for the 2764.

What are the 4 different settings on that impact? i understand the settings on the drivers, but not on the impact wrenches.

Does anyone notice a difference in power while using their impact wrenches with a 2 Ah vs 5 Ah battery? I can't decide between the 2754-22 or 2754-22CT.

That would be greatly appreciated. I'm on the fence about getting one of these.

Where'd you sell the 2654? I've got a 2654 that's used, but has had a boot on it since new. If I could sell my 2654 for $130, I'd be kicking myself for not getting the 2754 during the HD $150 off promo.

CraigsList surprisingly. Had it listed for $145 and got offered $130 which is the exact amount I was hoping for.

I think I want the m18 lantern for work now.. I wish they made a protective "boot" to put over the lens while it was being stored though.. I might try to bribe my way into a second m18 tripod light too.... I have some serious organizing to do at work. BOTH of the trucks assigned to me are packed with tools and equipment to the point I'm struggling to fit things..

Wonder what I can sell my first gen flood light for..? I really like how the new one can be aimed more precisely vs. just rolling around on its sides

Hmmm. Just looked at eBay - auctions that completed seemed to be anywhere in the $70-90ish range. Don't use eBay so can't comment as to why the prices would be there lol.

I really don't NEED another light - but, it states this one is LED 3000 lumens - can I assume it's just as bright/brighter than my old school double-1000 lumen halogen stand light?

Don't know if that's a stupid question - just not sure if it's as straight forward as comparing the lumen output. Hoping that someone who knows more can comment.

The 5.0 battery is a nice bonus - would be nice to use it with my new circ saw or sawzall.

Rwil23 said $70-$90 on eBay for the floodlight but don't forget to subtract 13% for fees (eBay and PayPal) and $** for shipping. Ends up cutting in to your sale.

By no means is this a professional set up of comparing the 2 lights but here's a few pics. Both lights are at the same height from floor and same distance from wall.

I've got a vinyl type tent as a workshop and its light outside so here's the control shot.

I'll try to take pics tomorrow AM before sunlight so it'll be completely dark inside the tent.
