Thanks for the quick reply. I figure it would be good for any 14mm or smaller bolts u can fit it on with a socket adapter plus it should be great on screws with proper bits

How did you convince them to give you that deal in the store? My local one will only do a free something by purchasing two bare tools, but I don't remember what that free thing is. I haven't checked my other store, but I might do that on thursday.

Although I'll most likely buy stuff from cpomilwaukee.com, I'll have to wait for it but it saves me a **** load on tax. Sure would be nice if my second store will do the free tool deal though since they'll honor harbor freight 20% coupons.

Anybody have any thoughts on the m12 stick light? I'm getting the 3/8 impact with a free 3/8 ratchet, the 1/2 hammer drill with a free 4.0 battery, and the 1/4 impact driver, but can't decide if I want a stick light or another 4.0 battery.

The stick light is very nice. I've got a video on the light, and jerseykat1 has a blog post about it:

Also you might check eBay for it first. I got my M12 Stick for I think like 47$ shipped still in the clamshell brand new. You might pickup a more expensive free item when you buy a kit if you can get the light for cheap. The retail price on it is like 80$!

I have the M18 lantern and really like it. I do a lot of construction work and use it when working in rooms without lighting yet. The electrician was doing a service change in a building the other day and I was helping him to get power back on as quick as possible. We used the lantern in the utility room on high setting for a few hours and it was great. We had a generator ready if needed for a flood light but never had to fired it up. It could be brighter but it is pretty nice.

Anyone know how long homedepot is going to be having the sale where you buy the 3/8" M12 fuel impact and get the 1/4" ratchet for free, http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...-Ratchet-Tool-Only-2454-22-2456-20/205044519? I've been watching it for about a month now and they have been out of stock online and don't sell it in stores. Just don't want to miss the deal. They do have the 3/8" impact with free 3/8" ratchet in stock but I would like the 1/4" ratchet.

It's good until the end of march or supplies run out, that's what cpomilwaukee.com says, so I bet that holds true for home depot too since this appears to be a manufacturer run thing rather than a store special.

Thanks for the links. Guess I'll just get the 4.0 battery since I don't think I'll need any of the other tools, and then see about picking up a stick light on ebay instead.

Well, the 4.0 batteries often sell around the same price (~50$). I didn't know what other options there were for the bundle. There are a ton of people breaking up Milwaukee kits on eBay and a lot of deals to be had there.

You can get a sawzall, 1/4 impact driver, 3/8 drill driver, 3/8 right angle drill driver, 1/4 ratchet, 3/8 ratchet, oscillating tool, stick light, 4.0 battery, or a heated hoodie.

None of them are fuel though. I'm already getting a fuel 1/4 impact driver, fuel 1/2 hammer drill, 3/8 ratchet, and don't need a right angle drill or oscillating tool, don't need a 1/4 ratchet since I'm getting the 3/8 version, if I decide to get the sawzall then I'll get the fuel version so the non-fuel version is out, and Texas doesn't get old enough for a heated hoodie. So the only real options I have are a 4.0 battery or a stick light.

I saw several 4.0 batteries for $50-ish, but no cheap stick lights, so I'll most likely get the stick light free and then just buy a 4.0 battery on ebay.

Sounds like a plan. I'm sure you will like the M12 stick light, especially for the price of free. The hook on the back is pretty neat and makes it a good trouble light. I would recommend the heated gear if you didn't live somewhere warm as I don't really ever see deals on them. Cheapest I'm seeing any heated hoodies on eBay right now is 79$.

So what's the cheapest way to get my hands on a new 2754-22ct kit? That's the 3/8 Fuel M18 impact, two compact batteries, and charger.

The lowest online price seems to be $259. A few weeks ago, Northern Tool had a $50 off $250+ promo, but I thought on it too long and missed out. Now they're offering $25 off. Zoro wants $295.41, so it would take a 30% flash sale to make me buy from them. Am I missing any options?

If that's the case looks like the 1/4" ratchet is out of stock and most likely won't get anymore. I'll go ahead and order the set that comes with the 3/8" ratchet then.

If you really want the 1/4" ratchet they share the same body and you can swap the 1/4" head onto the 3/8"

Home Depot restocks things all the time so your best bet is to sign up to be notified when its back in stock if you're waiting on a deal. I did that with the M18 TRUEVIEW and after a few chances I managed to snag one.

I did that regarding the M12 fuel impact/ratchet kit. The email came several weeks after it was back in stock and I had purchased it. Best thing to do is just check everyday.

Are you ******* kidding me? The m12 hook LOCKS into position so it can hang down?? I've had it well over a year (maybe even 2) and never knew that...

Edit - yup it locks... But with an XC battery the lock isn't strong enough to hold it in position.. Otherwise, glad I know I can hang it from my hood.. Thanks.

Yeah that's like the best feature of it! I don't know if the M18 version does that as I would think putting a huge battery on it might make it hang sideways or something. It might though.

Also if anyone has been hem-hawing about the M18 TRUEVIEW I finally got my video edited together showing it in action. I compare it against two wattages of Halogen, and the Snap-On from Costco.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/k-gue6prKu4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I was a little surprised by my own final result there.

This thread is getting more addictive every time I read it. I used to like the blue and yellow tools but now I'm into red too. Just starting my collections...

You could order from cpomilwaukee.com, they have the 1/4" ratchet in stock, and shipping is free if you get your order up over $199, and they don't charge me tax, but I don't know if they will for you or not, might be worth looking into though.

Does anybody have any idea how to order from powerboltandtool.com? I think I'd get more use immediately from the m18 impact versus the m12, though by the end of the month I'd like to have both. However, I don't see a way to order from them online. Are they contractor only? Do I have to have an account with them to order? Or can I call them up as just some random schmuck and order that M18 impact with the free battery and charger?

Or do they not ship and I should try and find some online site to price match their deal? If that's the case, anybody have any insight on a site that would match the deal?

Edit: nevermind, just saw the dates on the ad are for 2015. Oh well, guess I'll just stick with m12 for now until they start a really good m18 deal.

The only problem is I don't want the sale to end before they get it back in stock. One member posted that the free ratchet deal ends the end of the month OR when supplies run out. If the 1/4" ratchet has run out then I want to pick up the 3/8" ratchet deal before the sale ends or they run out of stock on that one also.

I could but wanted to order the deal from HD since the ratchet is free.

Good job on the video. Is it me or is the cutout hole in your drywall where the outlets are getting bigger? lol

And there we go, with a $547 order I've started my Milwaukee addiction. Usually I prefer green tools, but the red with the white Milwaukee logo is starting to grow on me. Plus my favorite holiday is Christmas, so I figure a mix of red and green tools won't be a bad thing.

Also have a bid on two 2.0 amp hour M12 batteries on eBay, but I don't expect to win it, and if I don't then I'll probably just buy a 4.0 amp hour battery, since I got the stick light instead of a free 4.0 battery.

No idea when the tools will get here, but they should ship tomorrow and cpomilwaukee.com says it'll take 2-5 days, so hopefully monday or tuesday.

Start to my collection:
M12 Fuel 3/8" Impact Wrench with a free 3/8" ratchet
M12 Fuel 1/2" Hammer Drill with a free 4.0 amp hour battery
M12 Fuel 1/4" Impact Driver with a free stick light

For more information on the enlargement of the drywall hole, see the fixed Dremel Vacuum Rotary Tool video.

I need to fix that but I want to run some more circuits first, and I need to take down a drop ceiling before I can run the new circuits so it's slow going. I'll do it one of these days. In the mean time it gives me a place to test drywall tools!

Did you all see the pictures of the cordless nailers that are supposed to be available in May?

I'm very excited for those, and I'm kinda glad actually I went with the tiny CAT compressor now. If I can do all my nailing and impact drivering with electric I just need the compressor to use a blow gun and air up tires. I really wish they would have gone M12 though with the nailers and not M18 but I can deal with that.

The million dollar question is can you submit this promo offer for free tools on a Zoro order where you got 25-30% off...

If they will for 10% off then I'd assume they will for 25-30% off from zoro, since that's usually about the same as 10% off from other places.

I think the trade-in deal is only applicable to participating B&M retailers, because I assume you must actually have to turn over an old tool and batteries, and have some proof. Though I am speculating. But the other freebies might be applicable to any purchase. Too bad on the form theres no number to call to make sure you qualify.

So with this $100 trade in rebate, i could buy

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...ill-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-2897-22/206211756

and after rebate get it for $250? Good deal? OR use a coupon and come away even cheaper?

They look extremely heavy to me though, although they have streamlined them in comparison to the Dewalts.

It's probably because the M18 line is geared more towards the professionals, and not many homeowners/DIY types will be buying a nailer. Although I know us tool freaks will pony up and collect them. :lol_hitti

The 2454 is a fine tool and the ratchet is a necessity if you work on cars, I suggest the 3/8 ratchet over the 1/4 version..... or you can be crazy like a few of us and eventually get both!

Got a $75 Home Depot gift card I need to use.. thinking about picking up the 2454 + M12 ratchet + 2 batteries deal for $199

Starting to clean my garage out this weekend and I have 3 hard cases for these M12 tools. Any good way to re-purpose these boxes before I toss them?
