Starting to clean my garage out this weekend and I have 3 hard cases for these M12 tools. Any good way to re-purpose these boxes before I toss them?

Wondering the same thing. I have just over 20 blow mold cases I don't need and am on the verge of just tossing.

Before tossing them, maybe try offering them to your fellow GJ comrades for the cost of shipping only? I'll bet there are many members that have the m12 tools and need for the cases you have!

You cant sell the cases alone on CL? Usually electricians/plumbers/etc dont want the case, but I have found some that do... Sold a 2897 case and 2621 case.

Try eBay, I see some cases selling for $10-20 on there. Sure after fees and paypal it's not a ton of money, but even a little bit can help you buy that next tool.

Depending on how I figure out to carry stuff, I might eventually need that carrying case for the M12 Fuel 1/2" hammer drill and 1/4" impact driver combo, if someone has one they're not using. I picked them up separately to get two free tools instead of one, but carrying them in one case instead of 2 would be nice.

Got a link to those pics?

NVM: found them

Pricing seems high....$349 for one bare nailer? At those prices Ill buy AirStrikes instead.

Where did you find the pricing? I can only find one picture and a page on the Milwaukee site without pricing. I was gonna wait and get one of these but at $349 USD ($465 here in Canada) I might try to find a used nailer on CL. I only need it for the occasional home project and would prefer to spend that kind of money on tools I'll use more often.

I started tossing the cases. It's unfortunately way too much hassle to try to sell them on CL, and even trying to give them away on this forum will quickly cause you to lose all faith in humanity. No good deed goes unpunished.

They do have a number for recycling and if your city has a good plastics program can go in the recycle bin.

My little set up that I couldn't live with out.
Fuel 1/2 impact/ protective boot
Fuel 3/8 impact/protective boot
Fuel 1/4 impact driver
Fuel Hammer drill
Fuel Grease gun
Work light.
Seven batteries four of them XC 4.0 and three chargers

Have purchased these through kits over the past few years and must say its been one of my best investments when it comes to tools. I farm for a living and these tools get used everyday and put through a ton of abuse and hold up like day one. Best battery operated tools on the market imho.

The Milwaukee nailguns look to be better ergonomics wise but I could deal with the ryobis to save quite a bit of money.

The 2454 is a fine tool and the ratchet is a necessity if you work on cars, I suggest the 3/8 ratchet over the 1/4 version..... or you can be crazy like a few of us and eventually get both!

Yeah I've got the 3/8 ratchet but it is pretty much worn out. I was going to buy the 2454 anyways so figure I might as well spend another $50 and get two batteries and the ratchet out of the deal

I went ahead and ordered it! $125 out of pocket isn't bad ($75 gift card)

They each have their place. The M18 stands up better on its battery but is bulkier. Also has an annoying high/low that hardly makes a difference. No provision for a magnet.

For a small area light I'd choose M18. For auto work "trouble " light, M12.

$300 seems a bit high, but somewhat reasonable for the bare nailers (when compared to Ridgid and some of the other options). $350 is too much.

That being said, I will likely purchase the brad nailer because I already have multiple M18 tools. Even with the price difference it's not worth to me to buy into another battery platform. I don't like the idea of buying a small compressor and pneumatic nailer either.

They definitely look more compact than the airstrikes. Much closer to the size of an air nailer.

I'm not in a rush to get another nailer so I'll wait to see how the Milwaukee plays out. I already have ryobi batteries along with my Milwaukee stuff so I can use either brand.

Too bad the brad nailer doesn't do staples as well. I use staples somewhat often in my current 18ga brad nailer/stapler. Also those are going to be one of my hardest to justify purchases yet... My current brad nailer/stapler was 7$ at HF, and it works perfect. I'm sure I'll find a way though! Toolitis always finds a way...

Maybe I'll try to get a video on them out before RTR and reap the video ad revenue to offset the cost of the tool. Let's see 350$ - 1.71$ is... 348.29$. It'll almost pays for itself.

The people over at Paslode can't be happy with all these "battery only" cordless nailers coming out.. I still have my Paslode framing and finish nailer from like 15 years ago, and they were "Amazing" at the time.. I think the only thing they have changed is the battery, from nicad to lithium.. Other than that and some cosmetics, I dont think much has changed with those..

Milwaukee definitely has some real competion to their high torgue impact wrenches now.. Dewalt and Makita are now neck and neck with Milwaukee, not to mention IR.. Glad to see big red finally delivering some nailers to keep up in that market.

I'll watch it a bunch of times, so that's good for a solid $0.29, bringing your total down significantly. Buy away!

Hey thanks! That shows some real generosity as that 0.29 cents is gonna take probably 1000 views.

Interesting the kit comes with a 2.0 battery, guess they dont consume a lot of juice or else they would include a bigger battery.

Another reason to have gone M12! I'm just sorta sore about it though because I've got tons of M12 and a single M18 battery.

Man, monday can't come soon enough. And I even have an oil leak on my car that I'll fix Thursday when I have a day off, so they'll even get some use, which will be fun. Just need to rearrange the garage so I can get the car inside to work on it.

Debating picking up the new one key 3/8" impact kit with the 2.0 batteries. Have someone that wants to buy my gen 2 for $200 with a 5.0 battery so I'd only be out $109 and I've been wanting a couple 2.0 batteries since all I have is 5.0's. Ugh. Decisions.

I've got one video on there with around 300K views, another around 100K.. when the first one shot up I figured I'd be making some money. I think I'm up to like $9 now. I didn't realize it takes THAT many views to make any money.. I'm sure there's different pay levels for different scenarios and all but I know what you mean.. it takes a ton of views to make any money
